Review 1：Nothing bad about it as long as you aren't expecting luxury. It is basic.
Review 2：This hotel is ideally situated for Angouleme station, which is what was important for us. Not quite so good if you want the city centre. It has been greatly modernised since we stayed a few years ago; still quite basic rooms and decor, but with neat modern en suite facilities. Spotlessly clean and a comfortable bed. Seems to be run by one sole lady, who was very pleasant and polite. Excellent value for money if you want a convenient stopover. For us, arriving at 7.30 in the evening, it was cheaper than paying for someone to be at the Europcar office to hand over our hire car.
Review 3：Very close proximity to Angouleme station, just across the road, but room fully soundproofed and comfortable. Simple but sufficient breakfast made catching the early TGV to CDG easy

Review 5：Close to Angouleme Station albeit the road works made it difficult to get from one side of the road to the other. There was a very good restaurant next door where I had a splendid gourmet meal, albeit this does not seem to have a direct connection with the restaurant.
Review 6：Offered very slight price reduction for room but came through just after we'd paid for it. Jagged edge on china soap holder in shower which could have caused a nasty injury

Review 8：For the price paid no dislikes, although parking is difficult with current development around the Hotel. Public transport at the rail station could/should have been better considering it was a busy weekend (Circuit de Rampart) buses were free but stopped around 8pm & I believe there was no service at all on Sundays. Taxis were also very limited.

Review 12：Really hot in my room - didn't seem to be air conditioned and not possible to open a window (big French windows on my room and I didn't feel safe leaving them open overnight).
Review 13：Good location right opposite the train station and easy walk into the city centre. Friendly welcome from the receptionist - in English which was appreciated as my French is terrible!
Review 14：We had a stop over on our journey and the hotel was perfect. It was an ideal location as we arrived by train then hired a car. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was everything that we required and the food supplies were replenished frequently ensuring that everything was fresh. We had a delicious dinner at the excellent restaurant next door to the hotel. Would definitely stay here again..
Review 15：The welcome was warm and kind. The location was very close to the station which suited us. The hotel was happy to look after our luggage the next day until we were ready to leave. The room was on the small side but fine for a one night stay. This hotel is not the Ritz and I would not recommend it for a holiday but it is convenient and perfectly adequate. The welcome by the owner was a delight.
Review 16：I wanted somewhere to stay before catching an early train. Perfect location (just over road from station), very clean and great value. Bit dated but everything worked and water for shower was hot. I'd recommend.

Review 18：A warm welcome on arrival, lift to all floors. The room was a reasonable size with a nice bathroom with a good shower. Exceptionaly clean, and decor good. Very comfortable bed and very quiet at night. A good breakfast at a reasonable price.

Review 50：Location right at the train station. The proprietor was friendly and helpful. This is a solid hotel, no frills, an old-fashioned kind of place but updated nicely, exceptionally clean, a comfortable bed. And a first-class restaurant right next door.

Review 52：Poor impression at first but the place grew on you. We had a comfortable night's sleep in a warm room. We didn't eat in the nearby restaurant (too expensive for what we wanted) but ate very well and very cheaply at the pizza bar only a few yards away. Easy journey back to the motorway the next morning.
