Reviews for Hotel des Ambans
Review 1:The hotel owner did not speak english. But somehow it was possible to communicate...
Review 2:Very clean and nice rooms. Toilets in the staircase was ok. Shower was in the room.
Review 3:Great location, lovely welcome, super value for money. It is a one star hotel, so you cannot expect luxury, but the owner was delightful and very helpful.
Review 4:The location is perfect, 5 minutes from the train station. The bedroom is simple but comfortable. The place is quiet, the lady is very welcoming and the breakfast is very good.
Review 5:Very tired old hotel that needs a complete refurbishment, especially of the common parts. No lift and very steep and poorly lit stairs
Review 6:Owner was pleasant. There was somewhere safe to leave a bike. Right in the centre of town
Review 7:Our double room was small, only slightly wider than the bed, the en-suite consisted of a tiny open top partition with a curtained shower, wc and washbasin crammed in, also our room adjacent to communal wc with thin walls....!
Review 8:Situated in centre of town close to railway station on quiet street, owner is a lovely lady and the rooms are clean.
Review 9:Woke up with mosquito bites all over my body. Bad view, but didn't reat expect that much. Expensive breakfast.
Review 10:Really good location, 3 mins walking from train station. Great staff, no English, but the little French we knew worked perfectly fine! Cosy little room.
Review 11:The ensuite is in the bedroom with just a curtain and no ceiling - so v basic.
Review 12:Great value! Very handy for the station.
Review 13:Easy to find from the train station. Good food choices on a nearby street. Not far from car rental office location.
Review 14:Location was a short, straight walk from the train station!
Review 15:Hotel opens at 16.00
Review 16:Warm welcome / very clean room / excellent WIF / secure bicycle storage
Review 17:no light in bathroom and Telivsion did not work. Was not given a passaword for wifi and no one was at he desk at night to get help.
Review 18:It was very quite.
Review 19:Lousy information from Booking.com ! Hotel was not open until 1900 but your info said 1230. Hanging around on Railway station with 30 kg of baggage is not fun. And Agen Railway Station has no baggage facilities.
Review 20:Clean room and friendly attitude. Yet only French spoken.
Review 21:Little soundproofing. I imagine a noisy late arrival or early departure can ruin your night. I wouldn't take the kids because we would ruin other's nights.
Review 22:Independent hotel, helps revitalize downtown Agen. Off, not on, main street, so no traffic noise. Very close to train station (and services like car rental) and in pedestrian core.
Review 23:The room/bathroom configuration was very tight but for one night it was ok.
Review 24:This was a handy little place to stop over as we passed through on a bicycle trip of the canal. The owner was able to securely store our two bicycles.
Review 25:Thin walls + communal toilet outside room = noisy and disturbed sleep. Not meeting basic requirements of a hotel, for me.
Review 26:Excellent location for the train station and town centre.
Review 27:neighbors can be a bit noisy
Review 28:small, quaint hotel and rooms; centrally located
Review 29:quite basic, walls very thin between bedroom and shared bathroom.
Review 30:very clean, lovely owner, cheap price, central location,
