Reviews for Las Lomas Village – Luxury Apartments

Review 1:Damp smell, strong freshner to disguise, kettle fused lights, toilet flush broke, husband fixed as no reception answer, microwave plate too big for it. Charge for Spa! Outside pools closed so nowhere to sunbathe.

Review 2:Spa was nice but disappointed could only use downstairs pool facilities unless pay extra for aromatherapy (?!) pools etc

Review 3:Would have liked a few more places to eat.

Review 4:Lovely clean room with fantastic views. Handy lift to the second floor. Nice balcony for sitting having an evening drink.

Review 5:Location would have been fine if we were there for the golf but as a place to stay, we prefer somewhere with more history and tradition.

Review 6:Comfortable apartment, friendly and helpful staff

Review 7:Pool open far too late in the morning, 09.00 more suitable not 10.30/11.00. Shuttle bus to beach far too late, 9.30 at least Apartment balcony decor was very poor with flaking paint on walls and furniture in a bad state.

Review 8:The staff and the shuttle bus service

Review 9:Stayed only for 1 night break journey. Would like to stay more on my next trip

Review 10:Excellent Resort recommend at least 1 week stay to enjoy all the facility . Dharma Indian restaurant on top of the hotel is at excellent location with stunning views and wonderfull food .

Review 11:A bit pricy

Review 12:Great experience, nice apartment , clean, spacious , well decorated. Super comfy bed - great night sleep. Quiet area, friendly stuff. Free transport within la manga club area.

Review 13:Apartment needs dust pan and brush and tea towel. Indoor pool was literally freezing even when swimming lengths. Needs heating as some days weather not warm enough for outdoor pool.

Review 14:The accomodation is excellent and has just about everything you need. The welcome pack is great with dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid etc. pools immaculate and life guards do excellent job. Wah wah ( free bus service) again brilliant. Tennis academy amazing for children and adults alike.

Review 15:Very surprised there was no supermarket in the close vicinity, especially as these are listed as self catering properties and there wasn't a single bar nearby. Furthermore a distinct lack of restaurants.

Review 16:The sunbeds at the small pool with Pergola café are not comfortable, they need some bedding on top like at the Hotel Felipe Principe. Also the drains smell where the sunbeds sit so there is a smell all the time. The minigolf at Los Lomas needs updating as the equipment is poor.

Review 17:Excellent position and apartments very spacious.Near to Los Lomas village with restaurants.Mini bus service excellent and weather hot and sunny.

Review 18:Do not expect a hotel resort in a beach

Review 19:Breakfast is good, not as a 4 stars but everything that you need (Spanish food): Orange juice, yogurht, tomato-oil-bread toast, fruit, etc. The double room has a good size and a great bed. Great cleaning service. We spent the whole day away in the beach (it is 15 min. away by car)

Review 20:Top resort Los Lomas is pleasant but limited choice of eateries and food is overpriced. Long way from main strip so take car or free mini-bus.

Review 21:Well staffed and great service. Everyone is multi-lingual and standards are high. Quite far between the three connected resorts but free mini-bus shuttle that you can request and they come and pick you up at meeting point in each resort, alternatively you can drive between the resorts. Food and beverage excellent but pricey on resort. There is a good, quite short strip of independent bars and restaurants in lowest resort area (La Plaza) which gives you wider choice of eateries and better value. Highly recommend the bar called The Last Drop, reasonably priced, great food, drinks and service, fun but not roudy. Also upmarket restaurant just opposite called La Finca if you want superb food and wine.

Review 22:The wifi is restricted to two devices so be careful when registering. The accommodation is looking slightly tired and is going to need a refresh soon. However it's a good place for a short break.

Review 23:Location and being on La Managa which has everything anyone needs on holiday.

Review 24:A bit hilly , but not too bad .

Review 25:Villa was lovely and well placed near restaurants and pool . Loved the Spa -natura bisse products . Loved all the restaurants -superb food , especially the beach and Asian . Hotel fab -facilities great -great shuttle bus

Review 26:As we are an elderly couple we did find the 30+steep steps up to the entrance, and another 16 to the bedroom and bathroom a bit of a strain - Next time we'll look for an apartment on the ground floor, with a bedroom on the same floor.

Review 27:Very good accommodation, lots of space, cupboards etc. . and ideal location.

Review 28:*Average food quality at restaurants *Young Teenage group positioned above us, leading to excessive noise, mess on balcony and communal areas. Children unable to sleep well for 2 nights. *Cleaning service needed chasers when asked to come back in a hour or so due to sleeping kids

Review 29:*Great sports facilities *Good size appartment *Easy to get around resort using free shuttle bus service *Good swimming pools

Review 30:Maintenance was not up to the standards of the facilities. Location is far from beach or town so you must have a car. Do not come looking for an authentic local feeling!

Review 31:Apartments are spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. Facilities in the aparment complex are good.

Review 32:We stayed for 2 nights.. We had to ask 3 times for tea/coffee & cups. The following day we left our room at 9.30..arrived back at 4pm to find our room not serviced..!!!!!!!

Review 33:The view & the breakfast.

Review 34:My room had ants and they were crawling onto the bed, I mentioned thisto the he reception and they just said it was a common problem. This wasnot acceptable. Also, cooked breakfasts are not included in the deal, steer clear if the Huevos Reveultos (scrambled eggs) they were notcooked properly and gave me an upset stomach for the next 3 days, thechoice at breakfast was very poor, I last visited Las Lomas 4 years agoand the breakfasts have got worse. Poor selection of meats and cheeses,no tomato, poor juice and the tea was cold. Cooked breakfast wasappalling, no tomatoes or mushrooms or black pudding, bacon was burntand the eggs, did I mention the eggs, sick! And the cooked breakfast wasextra, yuck!

Review 35:Great communal facilities, excellent gym, golf and great tennis courts.Wifi is good and free, excellent array of European tv and sport, veryhelpful reception staff with excellent English although I checked in andspoke Spanish, which the receptionist was happy to continue with, whichwas courteous of him because most tend to cut your attempt at Spanishand prefer to continue in English, which annoys me especially as I hadbeen learning Spanish for the past six months!

Review 36:Accommodation was not as good as the last visit. Air conditioning was on the blink. Got it fixed the first night and it had broken again by the third night. No kettle in room had to request one. Teabags were not replenished when the room was serviced. Very noisy people staying in room next to us on the second night.

Review 37:Pools were good

Review 38:We were staying in a two bedroomed apartment with a fabulous view of the golf course. Bedrooms were nicely done, as were ensuites. Lounge/eating area is a good space and has everything you need but is a bit tired looking (describing them as luxury may be overstating it!!). Swimming pool in front of apartments is great for all the family and there are loads of sunbeds. It was lovely to see the pool being used as we generally go in May and this pool does not get filled until 01 June which is a real shame. Spa is fantastic - great gym there, good sized indoor pool and have had a number of treatments there over the years which are always very good and there is a good pool/spa area for people having treatments to use. We find that it is best to hire a car as it is a lot easier to get around as you can not walk to the supermarket. We ate at two of the resort restaurants Luigi's (Italian) and Asia (Thai food), meals as ever were very good. We also ate at Mr Chan's which is in the heart of Las Lomas but not a resort restaurant - again would definitely recommend. If you have got a car, would say Canela is worth a visit, it is about a five minute drive and based on the site of horse riding stables, has great food and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend as a holiday and is particularly good if you like golf/tennis.

Review 39:Pools close at 7 or 8, wifi not fast enough for emails, can't walk to the sports, Plaza or other active spots of La Manga Resort which are down in the valley - one needs a rental car or good timing to use the shuttle bus.

Review 40:My wife and son were in the Prince Filippe Hotel for the first part of the week, and then my other son and I joined them in this 2-bedroom apartment in Los Lomas Village. It is a beautiful high altitude location, with the apartments in a crescent around a lovely pool and the very new and huge spa (which we did not have time to use). The room was clean, the a/c worked wonderfully, the linens and towels were first quality, and the kitchen was clean and functional. We did not get a "starter pack" of groceries but left behind coffee, filters and other stuff. There is a shuttle bus around the resort (the Wa Wa) but we had a rental car, which I would say is essential when staying at Los Lomas Village. The Village itself has a couple of restaurants; walking to Luigi's for dinner was a highlight. We will be staying again when our whole family of 6 makes the trip to La Manga Club Resort.

Review 41:Parking was a problem at times. Had to drive around to find a space.

Review 42:Reception staff friendly and efficient. Apartment clean and comfortable. All amenities close to hand.

Review 43:No nearby supermarket or convenience store anywhere near las lomas therefore havjng a kitchen seemed pointless as carrying shopping from the nearest supermarket ten minute drive away is impossible in 30 degrees

Review 44:Free waa waa on site and help of staff when my boyfriend fell ill

Review 45:Charges for using the TV Tired decor and dated bathrooms

Review 46:We have stayed at Los Lomas on a number of occasions but this time was a little less enjoyable due to the fact that our apartment was in need of a refurb or at least sprucing up particularly the bathrooms. Also not impressed with extra charges for the use of the TV

Review 47:Would have liked a west facing balcony!

Review 48:the apartment was lovely and spacious and we particularly liked the fact that the two bedrooms were identical with en suite bathrooms - great when staying with friends. The view was fantastic - overlooking the golf courses and out towards the sea. The mini bus service was a great idea and took you anywhere on the resort - and picked you back up again!

Review 49:You need a car really, there is a shuttle bus but at peak times you can wait up to 30 minutes. You had to pay for the sunbeds around the pool on the Hotel site, I think that if you have paid to stay in the hotel all these things should be included... however I guess, if you can afford to stay in the hotel, what is another 8€ for a sunbed???? That said, the negatives are totally out weighed by the positives.

Review 50:The best equipped kitchen I have ever stayed in, even included a cleaning kit. Lovely spacious living area and the beds were too comfortable, I didn't want to get out of it in the morning. I went with my 12 year old son, he loved the driving range, tennis and used every pool on both sites... great mini break

Review 51:I had some trouble with my room booking. My friends couldn't come on time because strike from France .Staff very very helpful and efficient by extending my room. Las Lomas was fully booked ,big golf competition from children. Staff didn't let me down and did their best. Excellent service. Thank you very much.

Review 52:Away from supermarkets

Review 53:Natural

Review 54:Room too small to be a triple.

Review 55:Location

Review 56:Nothing

Review 57:The standard of the property

Review 58:the staff were wonderful the price was right and so was the location and I will be booking again if the price is right

Review 59:Helpful staff

Review 60:Kettle would be illegal in most countries. No auto turn off. Very indafe

Review 61:What not to like, especially out of season. Value for money rental, empty golf courses, sunny weather and spacious well finished studio apartment.

Review 62:Quiet, relaxing stay... very nice room and helpful friendly staff.

Review 63:The breakfast

Review 64:Far too remote and not enough to do

Review 65:Hiring a car

Review 66:The development in general is great The facilities and the beach

Review 67:The room needed a refurbishment, very tatty

Review 68:The trip to la manga

Review 69:Friendly helpful staff, good location and good facilities.

Review 70:perfect for our one night stay.

Review 71:We liked the fact that there were 3 en suite bathrooms with each of the bedrooms.

Review 72:A convenience store within the village would have been nice

Review 73:Proximity of pool and excellent gym

Review 74:The space available. The ease of booking, etc.

Review 75:Pillows in the apartment too soft

Review 76:Staff very professional and attentive .

Review 77:Slightly dodgy electrics and shaver socket never worked

Review 78:Comfortable bed and pillows A bath as well as a shower Nice view from balcony

Review 79:Kitchenette needed updating.

Review 80:Very reasonably priced. Quick to check in and out.

Review 81:very nice place, and also a good italian restaurant.

Review 82:The whole place will need a renovation sooner rather than later.

Review 83:Oh that bed ... amazing.

Review 84:Great value for money. Played the North and West course, North has a great layout and West was a real test.

Review 85:Distance to breakfast, paid extra for cooked breakfast

Review 86:Quality, view, and cleanliness of room

Review 87:The damp

Review 88:Location and complex is excellent

Review 89:Paid for a room with view.....got good view of road and reception area and could almost shake hands with passing residents!

Review 90:No wi-fi View of car park from apartment Dripping Air Conditioning Unit on entrance to Apartment Smell of drains inside room

Review 91:Deli cafe expensive. Tennis court needs a little attention.

Review 92:Really friendly helpful staff at reception.spacious apartment with lovely views.

Review 93:Apartment was lovely and comfortable, pool gorgeous. Restaurants lovely too would definitely visit again.

Review 94:The breakfast wasn't amazing

Review 95:Lovely break perfect for my little family and the free taxi service was excellent!

Review 96:Having to pay for WIFi should be free.

Review 97:I've been visiting for years and it's always beautiful.

Review 98:Apartment quite dated. Furniture did not match on balcony and balcony required cleaning.

Review 99:Pool area was good

Review 100:Facilities excellent, played golf on South Course at reduced residents rate. Lovely course. Ate in two of the restaurants, very nice food and not overly expensive. Shuttle bus is also easy for getting round resort longest wait was under 10 mins. We'll be back.

Review 101:Having to pay for a bathing cap to swim in spa pool. Not much to do at Las Lomas Village itself and shame that outdoor spa pool was closed

Review 102:Comfortable room. Gorgeous view Free transport to tennis at all times of day/evening good food in restaurants. Lovely pool

Review 103:Would have liked to have clean glasses & Cups renewed each day.

Review 104:We stayed in the deluxe Double room & its lovely having clean sheets every day. Checkin & out was very quick & easy.

Review 105:Staff attitudes average - service to supply bedlinen was poor. Front reception check-in very average. Bathroon needed better clean No charges for wifi should be charged in 2014 (This is the 10th hotel on this trip so I am comparing it to mostly hotels in North and South America)

Review 106:Location Restaurants Room size

Review 107:My first visit to Mucia was in 1981!I have lived in Mazarron which is not far away for 10 years. In that time I have ony been to La Manga 4 times. Why did I not visit Los Lomas before? It was a thoughtfully designed complex, both hotel rooms and apartments were very nice with lovely views acoss La Manga Club. The apartment had everything for a short or long stay. We visited in January so not many facilities open; however the hotel provided a shuttlle bus to take you to other venues. I thoroughly recommend a stay at Los Lomas.

Review 108:Poor location in Las Lomas village. No views at all from the appartment or terrace and no sun on the terrace at any time of the day (December). Microwave did not work and kitchen/bathroom supplies were inadequate.

Review 109:Very clean, comfortable appartment. Parking right outside. Good heating on cold days and nights in December. Easy to arrange golf and spa appointments and make restaurant bookings directly from the appartment.

Review 110:In the winter there is very little to do. All the shops were closed by the time we arrived at 14.00 and also some of the bars. We tried to have a drink before our meal in The Deli but they close at 19.00!

Review 111:The view from the room was stunning. There was one restaurant close by which was open (Luigi's) and the meal was excellent. The Deli was good for breakfast and the staff lovely.

Review 112:Not a really anything not to like. We were there just before Xmas. The centre had few facilities (e.g. restaurants and bars) operating as it is very low season. There were very few guests and it was quiet, which was not disagreable. We went to the supermarket and bought Spanish wines, hams and cheeses and prepared our own meals. Really enjoyed that, but it might not be everyone's ideal scenario

Review 113:Excellent location with views and access to resort. High quality and quite luxourius rooms: excellent value. Use of the wonderful spa facilities and breakfast included. Shuttle service to get to golf and tennis centres. Quite sedate and good place to relax and enjoy sitting on the balcony.

Review 114:Weather! We would have stayed longer if it hadn't rained.

Review 115:Enjoyed the large well lit room. Loved the pool and weight room. Deli/Luigi's were both good. Front office reception was great.

Review 116:Lots of people for a too small pool. Beds around pool are partially old and worn out, pool table- tennis table is left rusting away It has fallen through its rusting legs but seems to be left like this. Same a bit for the rest of the hotel, a lot of things start look worn out. Our second bathroom was unusable since the water was switched off because of a not working tap (tap could not be closed). When I called for it they send someone to fix it but he just took away the tap completely, so we were left as before with an unusable bathroom. During our stay this was not fixed anymore and may still not be fixed...Our appartment door had to be really smashed to close it. A lot of things in the apartment referred to age and a lot of use, and started to be worn out. Airco in bedroom only working slightly on max. setting etc etc. I will never visit this place again unless it gets refurbished completely and gets a bigger pool. Not worth its price and rating.

Review 117:This hotel has a big potential if it would have been well maintained. The view from our room was fantastic great view over golf courts, mountains and even the sea in the distance Good beds and although close to a crowdy pool this was hardly noticeable in the apartment. Pool is great for small kids. High security level in the complete La manga resort.

Review 118:The Las Lomas Village is a relaxing place to stay at a reasonable price but if you want a bit of life you can find it. The rooms are still luxurious and very spacious and overlook some beautiful countryside. There is a large pool right next to the village and another one lower down also an indoor pool for the winter months. You can get a free mini bus in the evening that will take you to the main part of the complex or drive its only 5 mins away. There is a private beach that the bus will take you to but it is stoney, if you have a car go to Portman just up the road or to la mange itself which has lovely white sand beaches. We would stay here again as it is peaceful and has all you want for a few nights.

Review 119:Restaurants were overpriced, so would do self-catered option next time to ensure we wouldn't have to dine out every night. Couldn't fault the food though, and there was a fridge in our half-board room so we were able to buy water/snacks from the local supermarket.

Review 120:The whole resort was beautiful, we were concerned that Las Lomas village would be too far from the other amenities in La Manga club, but the shuttle bus was amazing and was able to take us wherever we wanted to go to. Pools were great, one more adult-orientated and one for kids, so good for everybody. Rooms were lovely, balcony great with superb views. Loved it.

Review 121:Cost of things in the resort, such as sports or dining out quite expensive.

Review 122:Staff helpful, spoke numerous languages and attended to our needs. Free shuttle bus service around the resort Rooms clean & tidy Views of the surrounding area Great sports facilities

Review 123:Fantastic place for a group of friends in their 30s. More of an older resort rather than lots if drunk 17 year olds. A great experience and value for money

Review 124:On arrival there was a damp smell in the Studio as it has probably beenshut up all winter & would have like to have been offered anotherroom but they didn't the sent staff which took over an hour to come& spray some freshner the Kitchen wasn't in good working ordertapes where leeking no door to the ice compartment in the fridge &seemed like there had been a water leek which hence the smell. We havestayed in a double luxury room before & that was far better thanthe studio.

Review 125:More activities available

Review 126:Nice staff

The Fine Print

Please note that not all restaurants in the complex provide disability access.
