Review 1：Third visit to Hostal Colonial, great location, spacious modern room, friendly staff. Well stocked bar, especially if you're a gin connoisseur! Lovely traditional Majorcan food topped off with a choice of their own home made ice creams.

Review 7：Room was spotless on arrival and cleaned every day thereafter; the bed was made, too. We chose half-board. The buffet breakfast caters for all tastes (you will not go hungry) and the evening meal (3 or 4 courses), although a set menu, was excellent. Don't skip the ice cream! Drinks are, of course, extra, but very affordable. Juan and staff were always helpful. The bedroom is unobtrusively air-conditioned and contained a small fridge that kept our water and wine cool. The bed was extremely comfortable.

Review 8：Internet connection was terrible in the room. Bus from Palma to Colonia de Sant Jordi is a long ride and not the most comfortable. Taxi is about 50-60 Euro. Car rental is cheaper if planning to go drive around the Mallorca island anyway.

Review 9：Colonia de Sant Jordi is beautiful and I loved the Es Trenc beach and the boat tour to Cabrera island. Everything was close to hotel and it's a very nice town.Hotel was super clean and friendly (not much English-speaking) staff.Grocery stores take credit cards and are close by.I ate in one restaurant and food was great. Bus 502 goes from S'Arenal at the end of the Platja de Palma to Colonia de Sant Jordi town.

Review 10：For some reason my room did smell a little damp but there were no signs of damp and it might just have been a temporary problem. Can't fault this place really just such good value for money!

Review 12：I stayed at hostal colonial due to the reviews I read online. I wasn't dissapounted and it exceeded my expectations. Firstly the room I was in was of a 4/5 star standard, very modern, cleaned and clean bedding everyday, it had a fridge too which was perfect. The tv was mainly German spanish channels some English too although I do not watch much tv anyway. The location was perfect, 2 minutes from the harbour and beaches near there, excellent walks along the coast, es trenc beach is 40 minutes away but if you enjoy walking then it is a lovely walk and as rapita is just a little further too. For cycling it is perfect a great cycle shop in the village to hire bikes, the whole scenery of the area will blow your mind, the staff at the hostal are so friendly and the hosts Juan and his wife are so welcoming and lovely people, food & the drinks in the modern bar and restaurant excellent too, ice cream, mamma Mia!! Estupendo! This was great value for money and if you want to get to colonia sant jordi from palma use the local bus service from the intermodel station in the centre of palma, bus number 1 from airport just outside terminal takes you right there every 15 minutes, €6.5 euro to colonia on high quality coach, takes 1 hour 20 mins, always on time. I look forward to coming back to Colonia again, muchos gracias Juan & wife and the staff, pleasure to be in your company, hala Madrid :)

Review 13：Spotless and modern room, great location to wander around Mallorca's best beaches like Es Trenc, Es Carbo ...enjoying at the same time the laid back ambiance at the port and the friendly and fun atmosphere in the Colonial bar/restaurant. Highly recommended!

Review 17：Spotlessly clean room, very large bed, balcony, attentive and welcoming staff, a lot of variety on the breakfast buffet, long hours for breakfast, only a very short walk from the beach and the harbour, an ice-cream parlour on the premises.

Review 19：Great breakfast and icecream! Very friendly atmosphere in a relaxing town. Good madrasses and spacious flat (3 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms).

Review 20：There was some noise during the evening because the room was just above the cafe. The stairs to reach the room were a bit steep but it doesn't matter. The price was a bit high compared to other hotels chosen by us.

Review 21：Good typical dishes offered in the evening and exquisite breakfast. The hotel is near the centre of the village and in front of the supermarket. A car rental is available going at the end of the street for five minutes walking distance. It's also near the most beautiful beach in Maiorca, called Es trenc. The room was big enough, there was also a little fridge inside. The staff was kind and nice.

Review 22：The staff is very friendly. The room is quite large and very clean. We had half board and enjoyed the dinner. It was very good! We can recommend the house-made ice cream.

Review 24：On arrival and throughout our stay, we were most impressed by the friendly reception from all the staff. They simply could not do enough for you. I loved the cleanest bedding ever, with quiet air conditioning complete with fridge. Our room is as described on the Internet with its modern furniture and comfortable lay-out. The food was of such a high standard. It compared with a five-star Michelin restaurant. The breakfasts were as exciting as the evening meals. We enjoyed the best ice-cream in the world, made in the Hostel Colonial.

Review 25：We LOVED staying at Hostal Colonial! Juan was a great host, feeding us when we arrived late one Saturday night during the World Cup. We chose 1/2 board, which to me was peace of mind. We were not disappointed! Every meal was wonderful: soup, salad, main course, and dessert. One night we thought dinner was over after the pasta course, but the main course had not even appeared yet! The room was perfect, the location close to the harbor and a 20-minute walk to the beautiful sandy beaches. We had a wonderful stay!

Review 26：Even if you could think that the place isn't nice in your first impression from outside. The rooms are nice, bathroom new and clean, terrace... So I couldn't give any bad feeling

Review 46：The ice cream was divine. We just bought a tub of an established brand and some pancakes in the hope we will emulate that flavour, but knowing we cannot. Ice cream. And then, breakfast. Authentic food and fresh fruit. Dinner with optional ice-cream desert and imaginative starters alongside classic Spanish and Majorcan salads. Top location across the church, frequented by locals and tourists for food and drink. Cool family place, independent business with great attention to detail, Joan is a great host.
