Reviews for Apartamentos Vista Real
Review 1:The apartment was small and nondescript. It is also nowhere near anything of interest. You have to drive quite a ways to get anywhere you want to be.
Review 2:The staff was very nice and helpful.
Review 3:The correct address can be a little difficult to find. Trust your GPS and use the property address on Booking.Com as opposed to the address shown on Google Maps!!!
Review 4:Mercedes, who was on duty when we arrived was fantastic. We had ended up in the wrong place (thanks to the incorrect Google Maps view on the Booking.Com site), and she was able to direct us to the correct location. The apartment was comfortable and had almost everything we needed (except for a kettle). Parking on the property was free.
Review 5:Nice, clean and comfortable! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Had some trouble with the WiFi at first but Jose (inn keeper) immediately brought us a booster and we had no more issues. Highly recommend for families.
Review 6:Walls are very thin and we heard lots of conversations of our neighbors. The hotel is a long drive from the entrance to this gated community which seemed almost like no one lived there. Definitely only a hotel to stay at if you want to drive to other places.
Review 7:A nice sized apartment with free parking about a 20 minute drive from Gibraltar.
Review 8:The location isn't great. Quite isolated and some of the resort buildings nearby are derelict.
Review 9:The apartment was nice. Good sized rooms, Small but functional kitchen.
Review 10:Only a small shop 10 minute walk away with a bar and pharmacy, that was all, 20 minute drive from Gibraltar, rent a car if staying here, 25-30 euros in taxi
Review 11:very quiet nice area and pool, big balcony, clean modern apartments, feel new, great for self caterers as utensils, plates, toaster and kettle etc, fridge was there for use. Beautiful area with golf course next to hotel and great views
Review 12:Need a car, nothing close, little supermarket close but didn't have very much to offer.
Review 13:Needed a bit of updating, but clean. Staff are very helpful.
Review 14:Hard to find the place itself. Make sure you text the reception before you will arrive for the clear instructions.
Review 15:AWESOME location: next to the bay, clearly see the Gibraltar Rock, lovely sunrise/sunset, beautiful landscape!!
Review 16:Nice place, clean apartment, helpful staff. We only stayed one night and had everything we needed there. The beach is nearby (beautiful view of the Gib!), as are restaurants and bars.
Review 17:We constantly had problems connecting to the WiFi and eventually gave up. As others have noted it is not in La Linear and the location description should be updated to be more specific. More cutting knives would be appreciated.
Review 18:We loved the extra space this clean apartment offered compared with a couple of hotel rooms and the kitchen facilities were very handy. Lots of TV channels which allowed us to catch NZs stunning win in the rugby world cup final. If you like golf there is a course nearby.
Review 19:The hotel was in the WRONG town. I booked La Linea but Alcaidesa is a town 5 miles from La Linea. You really need to check you geography before putting properties on the site. Also, the neighbours were noisy and I couldnt get the Wifi to work on my computer whilst my phone was switched on. Very Poor
Review 20:The staff were helpful, the beds were comfortable.
Review 21:Would have preferred not to have to clean before we left.
Review 22:The lovely balcony with a fantastic view of the mountains. We were four persons, it was cosy and comfortable. It is close to Gibralta.
Review 23:The apartment was dirty. The lift only went up one floor, meaning you had to carry suitcases up two flights of steep stairs!
Review 24:Perfect location for those with transport to get to Gibraltar.Excellent value for money
Review 25:It was a penthouse for 6 people however only 2 sun loungers and the kitchen was basic with not many cooking utensils. The furniture could do with updating and a better TV.
Review 26:We loved the location and views and the terrace.
Review 27:The staff. They aren't helpful. They don't want to work, basically, so if you complain or ask for help they would see a way of not doing it and blame you somehow for need help.
Review 28:The hotel itself is good, the apartments have a good size and the bed is very comfortable. The view is beautiful.
Review 29:Google maps struggled to find the location. Had to ask locals for directions
Review 30:Very convenient for Gibraltar. Only 15 minutes, nice location, away from downtown La Linea
Review 31:Check in with nearly no info, except room number and “here is your key“. furniture is quite old and not in a good condition. better would be less space, more quality.
Review 32:Reasonable price, nice pool.
Review 33:Wifi only works in living area- cuts when going to bedroom or hall Would be nice to provide a few basics in the kitchen- maybe tea bags and sugar
Review 34:Idyllic location- quiet and peaceful yet easy drive to Gibraltar
Review 35:There was a slight damp smell in the main bedroom The wifi was very hit and miss .. Only possible signal around pool area We were using it as a base for Gibraltar which wasn't great if you need taxis as there was 5 of us but even 7 seater taxi will only take 4 max which meant 2 taxis there and back was 100 euros!! But if your staying there as a holiday in its own right it would be great Needed more sun beds as there was only 2 for family of 5
Review 36:Amazing views and lovely apartments and pool Clean rooms and friendly staff Lovely beach down the road and a couple of restaurants
Review 37:Kitchen could have more cutlery and china. Wifi was very poor. Kept disconnecting.
Review 38:Great location for those who seek quietness. Beach is large, nearby the apartmenta and not very croweded (no lifeguard). The apartment had a good size and there was plenty of parking spaces outside. Swimming pool big enough. Close to a small plaza with a couple of restaurants and bars, and a mini market. Staff was nice.
Review 39:We got a pretty large apartment, comfortable for our family of five. The hotel is located in a pretty isolated spot but we knew that before booking. Actually it's a nice area with a good beach below hotel (ca 8 min walk). If you have a car Gibraltar is easily reached in around 20 min. Much better value for money than staying in or closer to Gibraltar. Apartment was nice although perhaps a bit impersonal. Wifi didn't work in apartment - we went to the pool for wifi. Friendly and helpful staff which gave us a lot of tips on road directions etc.
Review 40:A little bit too far from La Linea and felt a bit isolated without a hire car as there is no bus service
Review 41:swimming pool was excellent and sun beds were available when we attended the pool.
Review 42:Wish the staff would speak better English
Review 43:Beautiful place to stay, very clean and nice location. The apartment is comfortable but not so nicely furnished. However, the pool and the nearby beach are very nice.
Review 44:Receptionist not intrested in any help. We asked about the possibility to use the garage, she informed that is privat but do not informed that there are free places under the roof available. Wi - Fi not working.
Review 45:Quiet countryside. Nice beach.
Review 46:The staff and the hotel are great, however other guests were not. Very noisy and some even rude behavior made our stay less pleasant.
Review 47:Good location, for car only travellers. The weather is way less hot then the rest of Spain, with plenty of wind and very chill waters, making it an unlike destination for small kids. However the hotel has 2 nice pools. You can get in short amount if time to Gibraltar or Estepona.
Review 48:No oven, mattress needs changing you feel the springs .....
Review 49:Location, nice and clean, reasonably equipped, comfortable, great price. Reception pleasant and helpful. Good size.
Review 50:A bit far from gibraltar, not easy to find. Laundry was hard, first - no dryer, then, no instruction on how to use the washer. Breakfast poor choices, no fruit, very basic
Review 51:Pool, balcony, view, spacious apartment
Review 52:Cleaning services didnt clean properly dust on the floor still, Wifi was an issue throughout the stay(may be isolated), the sheets and blanket for the sofa bed werent comfortable.
Review 53:Location, helpful staff, value for the money spent
Review 54:Kitchen equipment. no coffee making Possibility, water kettle does not switch off automatic, difficult to open lid of kettle , tin opener was a camping opener, good that to day you have the modern ring pull tins , apartment a little dated, lime green walls
Review 55:Very clean apartment, nice swimming pool, good value for your money. I would stay here again.
Review 56:The bedroom was very small. A bit surreal with not much life around early in the season. Nowhere to eat. You definitely need transport. Fixing the plumbing under the sink!
Review 57:We were travelling by motorbike to take the ferry to Morocco, so this was good value for the night. Enough space to organise our luggage. Nice pool.
Review 58:No possibility to access internet Hot water finished after 1 bath tub, and it took 5 hours to get hot water again Impossible to access beach Limited eating options
Review 59:Nice apartment; swimming pool; overall good facilities; Near Gibraltar, good value for money
Review 60:The internet was pretty much unusable. Which was a sad thing as we still needed to plan for the next day and at best, we'd get a very week signal and then lose it. Frustrating.
Review 61:The apartment was beautiful, location was beautiful.
Review 62:The wifi woulb be stornger - we tried to use skype but it was possible on just some special location in the apartment.
Review 63:The receptionist was very smart. The location of the accomodation is excellent !
Review 64:The free wi-fi wasn't available, there was a problem with the system
Review 65:Great location, peaceful and with sea views but very handy for a visit to Gibraltar. Apartment had everything needed for a short stay. Staff in Reception were helpful & pleasant. This was the best priced option in the area and is good value for money.
Review 66:Wifi was very intermittent. Location was a bit off the beaten track but in a nice complex. Suited us for an overnight stay prior to trip to Gibraltar. Settee in apartment was not particularly comfy.
Review 67:Spacious apartment with 2 double beds & 2 bathrooms. Kitchen was OK. Rooms were clean. Nice to have outside garden space with view down to the sea. Heating worked well.
Review 68:A car is a must as you are in the middle of no where. The complex is huge surrounded by golf courses so if you don't golf or walk its a little boring not many places to eat or buy anything. Many of the buildings not completed some vacacant. We stayed a week in March would stay Estapona again next time.
Review 69:Comfortable very quiet ideal for golfers
Review 70:The Wifi was extremely slow. E-mailing was ok but to use the Internet was difficult.
Review 71:Very warm welcome at Reception from Jose. Well appointed and clean apartment.
Review 72:-Tube style pillow, very very firm and tall which gave me a neck ache. Needs pillow options. -Shower had great pressure but needs a shelf for toiletries. Because of the location of the faucet control knob, it gets bumped and turned off every time one reaches down to the floor for soap, etc. -WiFi cut out every 15 seconds or so, rather useless.
Review 73:Location (quiet and tucked away from the local cities and noise), kitchen, price. It's true there is pretty much nothing for food within walking distance but it's not far to a little cafe and shop, nor to nearby cities. I would stay there again.
Review 74:This location has almost no local immunities, only one small pizza restaurant, a "mini market" which consisted of 2 shelves and a pharmacy. If you do not have a car there is nothing within walking distance (except a golf course) and there are no places to buy supplies. A taxi ride into la linea will set you back around €20-25. We ended up checking out early as we had no car and found it impossible without.
Review 75:The staff were wonderful, beautiful views, well equipped apartment
Review 76:The location is quite far. The reception only opens until 7.00 pm (but actually the staff doesn't have problem about late check-in). The wifi is pretty slow.
Review 77:The room is very spacious, the bed is very comfortable, the balcony is really big, the view from the balcony is breathtaking, the bathroom is really nice, the staffs are really friendly.
Review 78:Half of the rooms were situated further from the reception and the Wi-Fi signal wasn't picked up in them – a huge inconvenience for longer stays.
Review 79:A good value for money in a quiet, pleasant, golf-course abundant neighbourhood. The beach is just a few minutes away, the parking lot is just outside the apartment, the view is to the seaside. Nice, relaxing place.
Review 80:The hotel is located in a condominium and a little far from other places.
Review 81:Spacious room; Kitchen well equipped (but a little smelly); The pool area is a great option to get some rest.
Review 82:The dinning table was very small for 5 people. And if many people take a shower one after each other the water get cold and you have to wait for them to warm up.
Review 83:Nice place, two bathrooms which is great for big families. The price was great for what we got.
Review 84:Some stairs to units on upper levels
Review 85:Clean and quite. Very good breakfast for 3 Euro. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Parking on the property is free. Big and very clean pools. It is 15km drive to Gibraltar border. Sure beats staying in congested La Linea.
Review 86:absolutly nothing
Review 87:great bang for the money, it is an apartment with wonderful kitchen, dining room and a lanai...we booked for one night and ended up staying three.
Review 88:Lack of shopping and restaurant facilities and lack of public transport
Review 89:We really enjoyed our stay. Kitchen provided more than expected and included things like washing up liquid, microwave, tea towels and bin bags that you would normally need to acquire yourself anywhere else. The staff were very friendly, always polite and happy to help. The only issue was the lack of public transport as the shops and restaurants are not walking distance away and a car is a must otherwise taxi can prove to be costly. Best sleep I've had in ages as the apartments are located in remote and peaceful area with no traffic or noise around.
Review 90:The holiday estate is located over 14km from la Linea, so a little remote with not too many places to eat. This location is fine for people with Transport, but not so great for people on cycles who would have to negotiate a very steep hill to pop out for the evening.
Review 91:The room and estate is very nice and was great value for money.
Review 92:The sofa bed was disgusting! It was faded and covered in mystery stains. And the directions given to us by one the receptionists were incomprehensible. You'd be much better off googling whatever you need to know.
Review 93:The pool, the proximity to the beach (just a short walk away), the finishes in the bathroom and the kitchen looked upscale, and the bedroom was large with good storage.
Review 94:We only stayed overnight so did not play golf but the course looks great. short stroll to a lovely beach with views of Gibraltar. The rooms were fairly basic but nice and the pool was good, you probably need to drive to find restaurants.
Review 95:They charged us 6 euro per night for the travel cot for the baby which i have never had before. There was no bar or restaurant which is not ideal as there is nothing within walking distance. The floors could have been a lot cleaner when we arrived - hair and sand everywhere which wasnt great as my baby was crawling. The kitchen is very basic - kettle broke, bottle opener broke, no toaster.
Review 96:Very near to Gibraltar which is what we needed and the village of Alcaidesa is really nice. Hotel was basic but suited our needs as we just wanted a base.
Review 97:The location is very bad : in a "residential area" were there are a lot of properties which were supposed (before the crisis) to welcome the inumerous tourists; most of those are empty or unfinished. So, this was one of them in the middle of nowhere. Must definitely have a car ( if not, don't stay there) as everything is far... there is a sort of minimarket at 3-5 kms, but you will find almost nothing. The phonic isolation between apartments ( these are "casa adosadas" tipical of Spain, which by the way are very uncomortbale as you are supposed to have a house, but you have the same discomfort with the neighbours as in a flat) is very bad, you can hear everything.
Review 98:The flat was pleasant, spacious with a nice terrace.
Review 99:Kitchen was missing some essential items like Toaster, Bread Board. No iron in the apartment. Only 1 pillow each.
Review 100:Clean, modern comfortable apartment. Lovely pool and garden area. Good value for money in a very nice quiet area.
Review 101:The WiFi was problematic, and I did not expect to be staying in a "resort gated community" with no character buildings= just new dwellings trying to create a holiday atmosphere. Very limited for things to do in the village.
Review 102:Friendly staff, well equipped rooms, and a nice outdoor deck with table and chairs to use. The beach was fairly close and convenient, but it was still a car job to get there.
Review 103:Staff talks to you as little as possible not welcoming at all. location a bit of a drive from things, u need a car.
Review 104:Apartments were ok. Beach is very nice but a ways away. Very welcoming restaurants in Alcaideza resort near the beach
Review 105:N/A
Review 106:It was a great experience
Review 107:Overcharged - seems to have been a mistake and hopefully will be refunded.
Review 108:Great sized two bed apartment.
Review 109:Nothing
Review 110:Perfect location for what we required.
Review 111:Close to golf course and quiet
Review 112:No coffeemaker. Ants in the bathroom.
Review 113:Comfortable beds. Quiet neighborhood.
Review 114:Value for money.
Review 115:Central to most places good views plenty of help from reception
Review 116:Staff -really great person served us!
Review 117:Staff is ok.
Review 118:Was very moist in the room, smell of foulness Kitchen-equipment missing
Review 119:Poor wifi signal.
Review 120:Location: 3 min from the beach; 15 min from Gibraltar. Friendly staff. Very comfortable apartment.
Review 121:We liked everything, that was great holiday :-)
Review 122:Tranquil location. Lovely setting.
Review 123:You really needed a car here and not enough restaurants or shops.
Review 124:Very quite and amazing place to total relax a*
Review 125:Wifi range isn't good.
Review 126:It really has a view to the sea! It's cheap, comfortable and very close to Gibraltar, which you can see from the beach!
Review 127:Main bathroom a bit tired. WI fi in apartment virtually unobtainable.
Review 128:Nice staff and more cleaning than I expected!
Review 129:No view to the see allthough I had ask for it
Review 130:Swimming pool ans size of the appartment
Review 131:Wifi didn't stretch to the hotel room and was quite temperamental.
Review 132:Great value for money.
Review 133:Basic facilities and quite far from bars, shops, beach
Review 134:Dark room and good bed.
Review 135:Old wery old Not god
Review 136:The swimming pool was great. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful
