Reviews for Appart'City Agen
Review 1:We had to pay to store our bikes overnight.
Review 2:Great to have a kitchen for a change. Had access to a laundry. Is close to a supermarket and shopping area. Had so much fun buying for our picnic.
Review 3:if you want a large bed , specify or you may get twins pushed together and you will have a very uncomfortable night
Review 4:central clean wifi works good value
Review 5:The hallways werde too sterile, but that's an architectural and design problem. It did not impact our stay.
Review 6:Big and clean rooms. Free WiFi and friendly staff. Quiet surroundings.
Review 7:the location was excellent, with parking on site and pet friendly, I had read the beds were not good but I think the have renovated and it was a double that was very comfortable for me.
Review 8:We could not open the curtains since the room is facing the streets and people are walking by. The refrigerator and coffee maker were not working . We had to make a hot water with a pan.
Review 9:Convenient location of the hotel and the function of the bath room
Review 10:The staff was only there a few hours a day so if you arrived at off peak times you had trouble getting in. Friends almost missed the wedding we were in town for because they couldn't get into the hotel.
Review 11:We stayed in a garden-level room, when we opened the window it smelled a bit animals toilet. That was the only negative.
Review 12:The room was enough spacious and clean. Location was good. The hotel had a bike room and a self-service laundry room.
Review 13:It was difficult arriving on Sunday because of limited reception hours. The staff member waited to check me in because she was unable to send an sms to my phone.
Review 14:The location was really good and an easy walk from the station. The staff were very pleasant and helpful
Review 15:The late check in system is horrible!!! First of all, booking.com doesnot explicitly state that the guest is to be expecting an e-mail fromthe hotel regarding the code for access. Not knowing this may result inmissing it at all (or - if the guest is not having access to his e-mailfor a certain time, he/she may not be able to receive it at all). This means that the guest is left in front of a closed door after 8 P.M.Secondly, even if the mail is received, it states that the guest shouldexpect an sms with the safe access code (where the key is left) and theroom number. We did not receive such sms at all! We got our key thanksto another guest who was lucky to receive his sms, but the key isuseless when you do not know which room it opens. Trying to call on thephone given (it was an international call for me) we had to try a coupleof times (each time no answer), and finally around midnight we couldfinally get our room number. My advice is - if you are expecting toarrive after reception is closed choose another hotel!2. We paid for a rooter in our room but we could not get WiFi in the room, so we used the one in the lounge only.
Review 16:The check in procedure was very painful. We arrived after they close the office at midnight. All we had was a sign at the entrance to call for assistance. There was a fee for calls and it was very hard to reach somebody. We had to make at least 10 phone calls and talk to 3 people to get to our room.
Review 17:The room was nice and quite spacious. The location was also very good.
Review 18:Small compact room. Having to empty own rubbish bin.
Review 19:Close walk ( 2 mins) to centre of town, restaurants, shops. Good parking but glad we had a smallish car to get thru the entry! Compared to other appart'city stays, it was good to have twin beds joined together rather than pull-out sofa.
Review 20:We arrived on Sunday, reception does not open on Sunday, so I had to phone a central number to get instructions to get the key. These were wrong, so I had to phone again. The room smelt strongly of smoke, even though it was supposed to be non-smoking.
Review 21:The hotel is just off the main shopping street. It is clean and comfortable.
Review 22:When I booked the hotel they sent via email the codes to the front door . When we arrived we were able to get in but only in the lobby . We did not receive the codes to the safe that contained our room keys or the floor level. By fluke a couple came in and opened the safe and we found an envelope with our name and key BUT no floor level or room number. I went through many doors until one opened.
Review 23:Modern hotel , lift ,every thing worked, central location and locked car park.
Review 24:reception closed when we arrived on saturday afternoon. Only the help of other guests enabled us to get into the building and ring a phone number to speak with someone to explain how to open a safe and get our room key. This was not explained at all when booking .com accepted my booking
Review 25:location, room facilities
Review 26:I cannot recommend this accommodation & would not return. Theapartment was nothing like the lovely photos on the website. I hadbooked a room with a single bed, a double bed, & a large seatingarea. The room I was given had a single bed, a double metal framed sofa-bed & no seating area as the space was taken up by the double sofa-bed. The only separate room was the bathroom which was massive but hadno shelves for toiletries. The work surfaces in the kitchenette are setvery low so you cannot work at them without getting backache &banging your head on the cupboards above. The microwave is installedabove the sink, instead of above the fridge, which makes washing upawkward & uncomfortable. The air-conditioning was ineffective – Ifound out later it was on the winter setting & was changed the dayleft. I complained about the room after my first night (of four) &was reassured something would be done. When I returned 3 hours later, asrequested, nobody knew anything about my complaint & said there wereno other rooms available. Take your own toilet paper because we ran out! When I complained they explained they only provide 1.5 rolls & it isthen down to the guest regardless of how many nights you stay. We stayedfour nights & don’t forget everything shuts on public holidays &Sundays. There were many times the building was un-manned by staff soyou couldn’t go to anyone for help with things. Getting into thebuilding is by access codes which was ok until the time they changed itwithout telling me & I & others were locked out until anotherguest who knew the codes let us all in! I wrote to the Apart’City duringmy stay with all the things I have mentioned above but nobody came tosee me. There was some argy-bargy at bill paying time & after some‘discussion’ they did halve my bill, which in my opinion was the leastthey could do but at least they did do that.
Review 27:well basically they have no one manning the desk or computers at the weekend so they won't find your booking for a start and its down hill from there, they should not even be on the booking.com site
Review 28:Didn't much appreciate the car parking arrangements. Access is difficult and you are not sure to find a spot for your car even if you've prepaid the (modest) parking fee. The car park was full when we arrived back from a wedding at 2a.m. Easter Sunday morning. I had to park on the pavement in front of the hotel. Did not appreciate having to pay 7 € extra charge for each of our 2 rooms for leaving at 12 midday instead of at 11 a.m.
Review 29:Central location Super comfortable bed Neat little kitchen and bathroom Nearby bakery does great croissants
Review 30:No WiFi in room. Vending machine was empty. No kettle in the kitchenette.
Review 31:The location is great, near restaurants and shops. Parking was cheap at €3 per day.
Review 32:The parking is a bit of a mystery; there is a car park but not obvious how to access it. But was lucky to get one of the 4 parking places in front of the hotel
Review 33:The apartments are located right in the old centre of Agen, 2 minutes walk from shops, cafés and restuarants. Facility is clean, well managed, and very convenient
Review 34:The fact that there were no kitchen knives for cutting up meat or vegetables nor could we obtain one from reception. Egg cups would also have been helpful. The tiny dishwasher seems to be defying the green code and totally superfluous.
Review 35:The location is just perfect for exploring both the old town and the commercial centre. It is also within easy walking distance of the station. The apartments are extremely well designed - compact without being cramped.
Review 36:The one-person bed was a bit on the cheap. I slept well nevertheless. I can do well without wifi, but in modern times I expect easier access.
Review 37:Can't really find much wrong with this hotel where I have slept twice now. Breakfast oké. A kitchen, a microwave and a fridge to keep your stuff cool, great!
Review 38:The weird entrance system till 2pm
Review 39:Location- close to station and the main shopping street and cafes We stayed one night Reception staff Breakfast Size and comfort and newness of the room
Review 40:I arrived out of hours ... eventually got a door code and room number ... was not told I needed a key from a safe at the same time... had to struggle back down with bags and have another call to find a safe combination to get my key... Should be made clear at time of booking..
Review 41:Location
Review 42:Wifi only in reception area. Arriving before 3 not possible.
Review 43:Large secure parking area at no extra charge good sized clean rooms with modern appliances and fittings. Well equipped kitchen area and modern bathroom. Air con quiet and efficient. Very central location. Helpful staff.
Review 44:- each additional service has to be paid extra (even bike garage) - no wifi in apparts - verry poor kitchen - polish workers disturbing the others
Review 45:- location - price - friendly girl at the reception
Review 46:It might have been a fantastic apartment but we tried for ages in the one way streets but gave up before finding it. One way streets made the location very difficult for us to find so we lost our money & chose a gite out of town!
Review 47:We arrived in what we thought were opening hours for the reception but it was closed. It was only with the help of another resident that we managed to find our keys and room!
Review 48:Good location, clean and reasonable value for money
Review 49:The room was very dark, which didn't make it welcoming to spend any time in, and the sofa bed (!!!???) quite uncomfortable. I'm not sure I even understand the logic of a sofa bed, surely no one ever makes it into a sofa?
Review 50:The location is by far the best thing, just moment away from all central amenities. I was able to walk everywhere, and pop into the hotel if I needed anything. Great idea to have a little kitchen, though I didn't actually use it. Hotel is clean, and quiet, and great value for money.
Review 51:Crockery in kitchenette stored high above hob. No kettle to boil water in for cups of tea and coffee - had to use a saucepan which did the job.
Review 52:Very quiet location close to the main shopping area of Agen. Good restaurants very handy.
Review 53:Second time here. Same friendly staff, same value for money. Even with our heavy bags (on rollers thankfully) not too hard to walk from the station.
Review 54:Excellent central location, very clean and comfortable, small but adequate kitchenette, couldn't fault it
Review 55:parking was difficult
Review 56:Location to town
Review 57:Great value for money. Helpful staff with good english (way better than our French!). Central location.
Review 58:My room had a very bad smell to it but other than that it was comfortable to stay.
Review 59:I would recommend adding WiFi to the rooms
Review 60:Bedroom rather small. Reception not 24 hour.
Review 61:Smart modern self-catering apartment in centre of Agen
Review 62:I didn't like how you had to pay extra for the wifi and then had to figure out how to set up the wifi box they gave you.
Review 63:Breakfast was very disappointing and not good value for money.
Review 64:Good location handy to shops and train. Tidy, clean and compact apartment.
Review 65:so convenient for us to stay, easy walk to restaurants, and although in the middle of town it was easy to find and get back out !
Review 66:Liked it all!.
Review 67:Convenient for a group of three, with helpful access arrangements.
Review 68:Free wi fi only in the foyer, and even that didnt work!
Review 69:Almost everything!
Review 70:Odd shape of Pillows made them uncomfortable to sleep on at times.
Review 71:Friendly staff and location.
Review 72:a pitty that Wifi was not included
Review 73:The tv that turned itself on in the middle of the night... #creepy
Review 74:The proximity to cafes, restaurants and the train station was excellent
Review 75:Limited check-in times due to mid-day siesta.
Review 76:Very functional, centre of town location, clean and neat.
Review 77:Nothing
Review 78:Well located, east acces to everywhere
Review 79:No Key! No Access! No go!
Review 80:Beds which were sofas that became beds, inadequate space for the beds No wifi No kitchen equipment
Review 81:In city center.large rooms.
Review 82:Noisy throughout the night with comings and goings. Decor was soulless corporate and dreary. The room was very small.
Review 83:No toilet paper supplied and no shops open when we arrived to buy any ..not really good enough ...
Review 84:No staff on Sunday, no breakfast, just a room.
Review 85:Air con and wifi worked.
Review 86:The bed was very uncomfortable. The parking area access is challenging.
Review 87:Just in the center, everything is some step away.
Review 88:Fridge, stove, spaciousness, location, price.
Review 89:Arriving on a Sunday is a problem and it took several emails to find out how we were to get in to the building as the reception is closed. Also there was a bad smell on the 3rd floor.
Review 90:The rooms are of a good size and clean and the bathroom was new.It was in a good position in the centre of town. The lady on ŕeception on Monday was excellent.
Review 91:Strange smell in main corridor.
Review 92:Location is good, easy to access for late arrivals. Make sure you get the code for the lock inside the building before you get there though. We had to call but it was done quickly.
Review 93:Exterior parking is quite difficult, very tight turn from a small street. Last time we stayed we used the underground car parking which is easier.
Review 94:Very short walk to main centre. Separate kitchen and large shower room.
Review 95:beds were very poor, typically for unexpected guests or children only. Entrance to car park (unless you have a small to medium car) is very difficult. -- tip drive just past entrance to car park and turn into tiny street opposite on left and then reverse into car park - much easier and same coming out!!
Review 96:location was great right in city centre. Lovely facilities, little kitchen with fridge dishwasher microwave, 2 cooking rings and well stocked cupboards, even washing up liquid and tea towel. City centre car parking only 3 euros per day!
Review 97:Put you up bed when out meant very little space for the person sleeping on the other side to get to bathroom round the bottom of the bed
Review 98:We had a separate kitchen with a door so cooking smells can be kept away from sleeping area. A large shower room. Felling of space.
Review 99:The parking area was very spacious but gaining access with a large car was diabolical. The entrance was of a narrow road and with a large car I had to make several forward/backward movements to gain access/exit. This should be included on the web site I may have not stayed there if I had known. If the property opposite the entrance is ever changed you will only get in with a small car.
Review 100:Everything except parking
Review 101:entrance to car park very narrow for larger car, bed mattress to soft and uncomfortable.
Review 102:The staff very helpful, position of apartment good very clean tidy
Review 103:the room are getting clean only one's a week, the master bed were Noisy and not confortable at all. The space is very small for a studio. Parking should be free, and staff should propose it to the guests;
Review 104:The location is great, all facilities are near by. staff is nice and and polite.
Review 105:Bedroom was small with little space to move around. Beds not big enough for an adult.
Review 106:Very helpful reception. excellent value for money. Good bathroom space and well equiped
Review 107:Difficult to find, in very narrow streets. We did not see any staff. There appeared to be no staff working on Sundays and no breakfast. When we arrived we had to phone for the safe code to get our room key as the reception was closed. We were advised to do this by e-mail but the girl on the end of the phone did not seem to know what we were talking about and had to contact someone else.
Review 108:Clean. Good facilities- kitchen & bathroom. Appart'City was very good will use one again but not in Agen. The location is difficult to find.
Review 109:very difficult access to parking, rooms basic with the bed made up from a put you up settee bed which was very uncomfortable and we had our worst ever night in a french hotel. Advertised as wifi but only available in the reception area.
Review 110:Clean, central to the town, secure parking
Review 111:Reception closing and hotel being locked each day between 12 & 3pm seemed out of character with rest of great service. Small size of apartment though design made good use of space,
Review 112:Helpful and friendly staff Equipped kitchenette Great location Good security Not having daily room service Easy walking to downtown and railway station Smart design features in appartment Coin laundromat
Review 113:Arriving early,11 o clock and despite our rooms being ready was made to wait till 3 normal check in or pay Euro 15 extra for 3 hours early. That was silly and ridiculous
Review 114:Closeness to Station and Cleanliness
Review 115:The bed was a pull out couch. Even though it was comfortable and we slept well on it, it still wasn't as comfortable as a real bed.
Review 116:The value for money. It was quite cheap and we got a very decent room. Everything was clean and tidy and the staff were excellent.
Review 117:The Appart City is right in the town centre a short walk from all the main places to visit in Agen and also close to the railway station. Comfortable rooms, modern and clean at affordable prices. Friendly staff, too. 10 out of 10 for this one.
Review 118:Difficult to find, no staff there on arrival, you have to call offsite staff to get access to the car park and the safe with your room key in.
Review 119:Good facilities, value for money, nice big clean rooms and good parking. Easy access to the city centre, good location etc.
Review 120:Check-in temporary closed during a long lasting lunchtime (12h to 15h).
Review 121:Fully equiped kitchen! Appartment and furniture brand new. Spacious entrance to the appartment.
Review 122:The parking facility is very spacious but the way to enter it is very difficult, through a very narrow gate from a very narrow street. We damaged our car and decided not to park there anymore during our stay.
Review 123:Good facilities, Nice staff. Although many guests in the hotel, nights were quiet because the bedrooms were not directly behind the entrance door. First there is a hall with a kitchen en a bathroom. Behind it are the living/sleeping quarters.
Review 124:Poor beds very small and uncomfortable. Cooking smells in hotel corridors. It was like being in a caravan inside a building. Booked for 6 nights left after 2 very disappointing
Review 125:The staff were helpful. The bathroom was good
Review 126:the children had to share a fold out bed... fortunately they were singles but in the living room, we had hoped for separate bedrooms and beds for all.
Review 127:location
Review 128:Great location, good value for money especially for a one night stop over. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend Appart'City Agen to anyone wanting to stop here.
