Reviews for La Fabrica De Juan
Review 1:Cosy house, beautiful pavements and tiles on rooms, nice swimming pool for the summer. It is located in a little village with 2-3 good restaurants/bars, less than 20-min drive from Antequera. Good for people who prefer to sleep in a quiet place rather than in the big city.
Review 2:another couple who were staying there smoked in their room which went through the entire building and they had a large dog which, though friendly was not great as one of our party has a phobia of dogs. It would have been good to know this before we booked.
Review 3:Pool was great
Review 4:Room was small. We had difficulty finding the hotel. Very small sign and locals gave us vague directions. A map of the little village of La Joya with location marked would be good.
Review 5:Nice, very roomy patio area with ping-pong. Good value. Manager was very helpful.
Review 6:Quality of sleep...nothing to do with the accommodation itself, but expect to be woken at 3am every morning by a very vociferous cockerel next door. This in turn woke up every bloody dog in the neighbourhood. Ear plugs help but who wants to sleep every night with ear plugs rammed in ur ear? Only other gripe is WIFI only available if you sit on the landing or at the top of the stairs or close to the reception. I like to check mail etc just before putting the lights out so this was a disappointment.
Review 7:Everything about the place. Room was beautiful, midnight dips in the pool, BBQ area.
Review 8:8 euros for breakfast not good only 2 cereals. apples. toast. cheese&ham. No hot breakfasrt at all
Review 9:The views
Review 10:Pool
Review 11:This was probably the best accommodation that we have stayed in duringour extensive travels around Spain. It has a beautifulSpanish/Moroccan décor and feel. During our overnight stay, wesomehow managed to lose our room/main entrance door key (in thehostel somewhere!) but this was dealt with kindly and graciously by thepatron. Breakfast was good and typically Spanish.
Review 12:Difficulty finding using the site photo because the photo is an internal view! But I was very tired at that point, road surface condition from El Chorro to Valle de Abdalajis poor but managable on a road bike, from VdA to La Hoya - road appalling, awaiting the Spanish economy pick-up??
Review 13:I arrived late after a long cycle ride from Grazalema, having had punctures and then pump failure in the extreme heat (rubber o-ring seals). Staff were extremely helpful coping with my lack of Spanish language, arranged fluent English speaking bike carrying taxi the following morning to get me to town 23 km away to bike shop. Breakfast excellent, unfortunetly no time to sample courtyard pool. Local bar friendly helpful staff. There is a local hotel/restaurant but had lack of time to sample.
Review 14:Breakfast was meagre - better to eat elsewhere. No-one at property when we arrived so we had to call on a mobile to get someone to come and let us in. Only a curtain between shower room and bedroom. WiFi didn't work in the room
Review 15:Nice room with comfortable beds, ceiling fan and air conditioning. Lovely secluded terrace with pool.
Review 16:Personnel/owner didn´t speak English. No coffee available, you canonly make tea yourself.
Review 17:Nice place to be, big swimmingpool and cowsy courtyard. Newly furnishedrooms, very clean and bright.
Review 18:The rural charm. Someone has put a lot of thought into the whole set up. The bedrooms are beautiful and spacious with everything most people would need. Breakfast included locally baked bread which was delicious. Value for money it's top of the list and I would stay again gladly.
Review 19:Couldn't find out how safe worked till next day.
Review 20:Quiet location, lovely decorated room and pool area. AC more effective than big tourist hotel on the coast!
Review 21:It's not a hotel, more of a guesthouse. There was noone there when we arrived and it took two phone calls to get someone to come to the house the following morning for us to pay the bill despite the fact it said reception was open from 08.30. No breakfast available. There is no view and it's quite noisy, as it's in the centre of the village - lots of dogs barking and village noise. The Fuente del Sol Hotel is just up the road - not much more expensive - and a much better proposition with lovely views and fantastic swimming pool. We wished we had stayed there again.
Review 22:Nicely decorated room and pretty courtyard.
Review 23:Fab place and we had a Fab time.
Review 24:Nothing.
Review 25:The beautiful pool are that we had to ourselves. The very small town atmosphere, only 50 people. Great local restautants. Friendly town.
Review 26:a beautiful hotel, very clean, staff really friendly and helpfull, 10 min drive from lobo park which is well worth a visit
