Reviews for La Residence du Nil

Review 1:The owners are friendly, helpful & speak a little English, the rooms are clean & functional. It is great as we can bring our pets. The apartments are a short walk from the many great seafood restaurants in Treport. We stayed here also in July & will be coming back again in December.

Review 2:Nothing negative to say

Review 3:It was perfect position, for shops, bars, restaurants, beach and the harbour. We didn't move the car for the whole of our stay, so had the chilled holiday we wanted.

Review 4:Kept awake by family of seagulls living right outside. (Not much anyone can can do about that but just be warned that you'll get an early wakeup!). Also kept awake one night by people in next room coming back at 2am making a racket, talking very loud for the next couple of hours and slamming doors. Parking at the appartment was a bit tricky. We decided to leave the car up a nearby road which had free parking although space was limited. Room was hot (it was July so no surprise there) with no aircon so we had to leave the windows open at night which added to the noise. Kitchen was reasonably well equiped but a toaster would have been usefull.

Review 5:We stayed here for 6 nights to see the Tour De France come rthrough Amiens and Dieppe as well as visit some of the towns and beaches along the coast. The appartment is in a good location for wandering around Le Treport or over the bridges to Mers Le bains. The room was spacious and clean with a nice firm bed. Very good value particularly now the pound has strengthened.

Review 6:excellent location for a look around the town and the local areas. The proprietor was very helpful, spoke good English and was a pleasure to talk with.

Review 7:Just maybe, they could have a few adapters for English plugs Didn't like leaving!

Review 8:Friendly & helpful on arrival, I was helped taking my affaires to the room (I am disabled, walking with crutches) Had a bath, wonderful. Shame I was alone, for 2 people a fabulous self catering studio

Review 9:The onsite parking is tight, it was OK for my very small car. Always coming back late, just once I had to squeeze through a gap to park. So if you have a big car, get rid of it , buy something small and decently light on petrol and stay at La Residence du Nil !

Review 10:The self catering flat/bedsit was fine, roomy, close to shops in town quiet with non-troublesome neighbours, mostly French. Parking was ok for a small car (see bad points). Proprietor was a friendly and helpful chap, the ventilation hum coming trough the walls on our first night was effectively sorted. We were happy to stay and the price was reasonable.

Review 11:Nothing comes to mind

Review 12:Location,accommodation, staff, shops and restaurants nearby.

Review 13:Nothing

Review 14:Excellent location, the proprietor nice and helpful, studio spacious and cosy, excellent atmosphere of the town and especially of the street.

Review 15:Needed an over as we had planned for baked food

Review 16:The owner was very friendly, we were allowed to have our 2 dogs to stay. Right by all the restaurants in town

Review 17:No English TV channel. Need UK news programme.

Review 18:Fast free wifi. Excellent location. Good facilities.

Review 19:Room, location and friendly welcome

Review 20:The room smelled of smoking and the car park was very tricky to use and not many spaces.

Review 21:Location was good

Review 22:Nice and helpful staff. Well located in centre of city and close to the beach. Safe parking outside the apartment.

Review 23:Friendly,attentive,patience and positive attitude of the reception manager. Will visit again.

Review 24:The close proximity to the harbour, restaurants and the hospitality of the staff. The hotel was exactly as described and we would most certainly stay there again.

Review 25:The entrance to the apartments is clean but prison like. The upholstery on furnishings was torn. The balcony is tiny and looks on to car park.

Review 26:The location and secure car park

Review 27:Lino floor was a bit cold and there was no heating in the room (2nd week in October - awful weather and the central heating was not on).

Review 28:Location very handy for the many restaurants. Secure parking. Studio very well equipped (Don't miss the free funicular to the top of the cliffs)

Review 29:Nothing that we didn't like. It is not luxury accommodation, but we didnt pay luxury prices.

Review 30:The reception was great and very friendly. The room was sufficient and for the price! was a bit better than expected. It is not a four star accommodation, but it is comfortable, affordable and in a great location.

Review 31:We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend. We had a wonderful time and if we ever come again in Le Treport we won't hesitate to stay here. The hotel is actually an old apartment building, now renovated. The rooms are exactly like in the pictures, the kitchenette has everything you need in case you want to cook something (though the seafood restaurants in the village are nice!). It even has a washing machine for those staying longer (I suppose it works, never tried). The parking is very convenient, the location is central, 1 minute from the restaurants and shops. There is a mini market next door (as well as a pharmacy) and another one across the street.

Review 32:Kitchen could have done with better range of utensils and crockery. .

Review 33:Accommodation is basic, self-catering and reasonably priced. Quiet location (except for seagulls) close to harbour with plenty of restaurants. Owner is very friendly.Parking in courtyard is useful but very cramped.

Review 34:Even though the apt had good space it felt like a cheap bed-sit. The view from the large windows was absolutely horrible (old garages and sheds). The kitchen did n't even have the necessary items to have a comfortable breakfast.

Review 35:Size of apt was good, parking on site was also good and free at this time (out of season).

Review 36:- The room was not very clean - Not enough blankets for a cold winternight - The envirmont is not that interesting during wintertime - No watercooker to make tea

Review 37:- Very friendly staff - Nice, big room, enough space for two people

Review 38:The double bed was a bit tilted from the middle down to both sides. Nothing really bad but you may want to keep that in mind.

Review 39:Spending the weekend there with a friend. Only double beds available but an extra bed was placed in the room at no charge. Very near the boulevard the rooms are in a court which is a quiet spot.

Review 40:Difficult to park Car park had dog mess that was not cleared up meaning difficult access to the car

Review 41:Easy arrival. Excellent basement Appartment

Review 42:No kettle

Review 43:Convenient for centre of Le Treport. Adequate space. Staff helpful. Facilities good.

Review 44:the location in the city centre and the nice studio's as seen on the foto's

Review 45:good location,nice and clean

Review 46:Friendly staff; warm, comfortable room; centrally-located.
