Review 1：Staff seemed moody compared to other hotels I've stayed at.Much nicer to get a room with sea view.

Review 4：The most amazing views are available from the rooms and bar. Rooms need updating but apart from that this hotel is 10/10. Wonderful, reasonably priced restaurant.

Review 5：The rooms are quite old and need to be refurbished soon (as the ground floor is already done). Bed comford is limited. Table on the balcony not high enough, e.g. to sit outside and work with a laptop.

Review 7：Location was fine if you want to stay away from the busy part of Ibiza, however it's far from that even by car, so for young people it's not the best choice but for older it's fine, yet it's close to some clubs there such as Pacha and Destino

Review 8：Staff were rude, didn't listen well, and got very defensive when clarifications were being made to them in order to avoid misunderstandings (which had occurred repeatedly due to the fact that they don't listen well). Simple requests that any 4-star hotel around the world is expected to honour were not honoured. Examples include the fact that complimentary water was not available, and paid water was not replenished in the mini-bar (once it was consumed, it was not replaced for 6 days). We also requested ice buckets several times and managed to get 2 glasses of ice contingent upon ordering dine-in while it should be a complimentary service. We were charged for the safety box which basically sends to the message "pay us or someone will steal our valuables". There was also no ironing board, and when we requested one, we got asked to return it in person to the lobby, which is not even typical of a 3 star hotel. Furthermore, reception did not agree to extend our check-out time by 1 hour, and as we were leaving the hotel, we saw a lady who was checking out 3 hours late with no penalty or even rude reprimend from reception staff, which made us feel that some sort of prejudice had been applied against us although we were tipping well as opposed to European clientele.

Review 12：The reception staff are not welcoming and some sit behind the counter as though hiding and avoiding guests. Breakfast staff become quite unpleasant when approaching the end of the serving period; clearing away food before time. Although the reception area and bar have been updated, the furnishings in the rooms are worn and dated.

Review 22：This was a great hotel with friendly staff and great accommodations. The breakfast and dinner were generous with ample variety. The hotel has an indoor spa/pool, outdoor pool and small beach access which is just perfect for families. The view is spectacular and the rooms are comfortable as well. We rented a car which was coordinated by the hotel staff and the car came right to us. It was easy to navigate the entire island. It was a very fun time!

Review 23：The table on the terrace could be bigger and taller. The dinner wasn't hot enough and didn't have the right temperature!!!!!!!!!!!! The staff was friendly, BUT they hardly speak any English!!!!!!! (I'm not English either)

Review 33：Lack of a sea view even though we specified we'd like one in our special request when booking months in advance. On arrival we we were told one hadn't been allocated and that they charge a higher rate for a sea view, even though we had confirmation that they would accommodate our request. Not very helpful, if they'd have mentioned this when we booked we could have decided to pay the extra. By the time we arrived all sea views rooms were allocated to other customers.

Apart from 2 members of staff who were helpful, the staff were moody, unfriendly and generally had a look of "why are you asking me to do something for you" they didnt make me feel welcome at all. I didnt enjoy my stay at this hotel and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

Review 38：The location was quiet, however very built up and if you didnt have a sea view the views were very poor. The selection of food in the buffet was of standard and the view from the terrace was nice.

Review 39：Aircon was very poor Water ran hot, then cold, then scolding, then freezing. It was a race against time to get a show without facing winter and summer! Shower rail was a cheap pole which fell down whenever it was used. Several lights out in the bathroom, some falling out of the warped plastic ceiling blood stains and orange marks on bath towels one day

Review 41：We had arranged through booking.com to have a late check out due to have a night flight home. This was agreed via email before we away. When we doubled checked with the hotel when we were there, they were rude and unhelpful. To be honest I have never experienced customer service like this - it was so bad. They spoke to rudely to us. We ended up paying for another night just for somewhere to leave our suitcases and have a shower (230€). If I knew it was going to be such a problem I would stayed somewhere else. No communication at the hotel and disgusting attitude.

Review 47：This hotel need to be carpeted in the bedrooms. The noise from cleaners/guests moving furniture/chairs around is really loud! Not that I let this spoil the holiday. But just carpeted with a cheap floor felt rather than tiles would overcome this. This is my only gripe.

Review 50：This is a great hotel set on a safe and lovely stretch of beach, and it's very easy to reach Ibiza town either by ferry (the ferry terminal is a 15 minute walk along the beach away) or anywhere by taxi. The rooms were clean and we got fresh towels without even having to request them. There is a towel service by the pool (which is also great for your last day when you've packed your towel!) and the breakfast selection was fantastic and great value for money. The staff are all helpful, friendly, multilingual, and able to book taxis and club tickets and direct you to the best places on the island. I'd definitely choose to stay here again.

The view outside is stunning, studded with mutiple little and larger boats on the sea, and my little one thought it would be nice if we could go boating in a little one and be 'Simbad, the Sailor man', so perhaps the hotel could invest in a little rowing boat?

Review 110：Travelling w two v small children in off season isn't so easy - but Simbad made it so. They offered us a perfectly suited Jack and Jill room, ample size and sea view. We could use the heated spa pool as a family which the kids loved after playing on the beach in front - and absolutely tired them out and had them ready for a big lunch which the lovely restaurant staff had prepared regardless of what time we were in need. Our children are active and they were never perceived as too much, not at breakfast when others were around nor when we the only ones to serve. We appreciated the bar, the different seating / resting areas and most of all - the maintenance, both inside and out. 10/10 - good job Hotel Simbad

Somereception staff were good others were a bit unfriendly - when we checkedout the member of staff didn't ask if we had had a pleasant staff orwish us well on our homeward journey. Basic pleasantries were missing!We ate in the restaurant one night and the waiting staff were appalling- the only served us half our paella, didn't offer any furtherdrinks, dessert or coffee and then disappeared. We ordered at 9:30 andthe restaurant serves food until 10:15 - so no excuse!

It was impossible to turn it on from the room despite the fact that it was impossible to keep the windows open - there is a busy construction site right in front.2.The posted price for "buffet" lunch was PER PLATE! This little detail was not revealed until it was time to pay. So, a five-euro-lunch turned out to be a 25-euro one. The same "surprise" repeated itself with every single customer. 3.Towels and toiletries are not re-newed unless you explicitly ask.

Review 130：I am not certain how it qualifies as a 4 star hotel. The furniture/decoris very dated and minimalist. Amenities in the bathroom were in smallpackets rather than bottles. That being said, the staff more then makesup for the stark appearance with their warmth and helpfulness. Therestaurant for breakfast was a good value. There was a lot to choosefrom and it all was fresh. The location is good. Not too far from D'AltVilla. And an easy walk to the Marina.
