Reviews for Résidence Mer & Golf Pic du Midi
Review 1:We were four people and they only provided two towels, then stating that any further towels will cost us €9 each. There is cleaning equipment like brushes and mops but no cleaning products to wash the dishes and such. Not a bad location, just a short walk from the slopes.
Review 2:Reception was in a sister hotel and didn't open until 9am. WiFi was between 2-5e a day
Review 3:Good location, at a very good price. About a five minute walk from the centre of La Mongie. Fantastic views from the apartment. Nice clean apartment (would be very small for more than 4/5 people staying a while). Reception staff friendly. We really enjoyed our one night stay and woke up to Llamas roaming around!
Review 4:They demand the room is left spotless when it wasn't to start with.......Cobwebs etc.
Review 5:Wonderful location, free parking. Clean comunal areas, Friendly staff.
Review 6:no reception staff when found, staff dour and uninterested found not enough towels or bedding in room no one around to help mobile number not answered for help if you stay here, prepare to be frustrated
Review 7:Not spotless (very dusty on curtain and pole when it came down accidentally). No lifts so moving in an out a bit of a chore.
Review 8:Excellent position for the ski lifts and parking was not an issue. Staff friendly and helpful. Apartment was tight. We were only three in a seven person unit and although baths and beds were OK, the living area was very tight. Plenty storage though including downstairs ski equipment cabinet.
Review 9:I didn't expect to be asked to clean the apartment after a one night stay. For the price I was also expecting a real bed, not a sofa bed. It's also a bit odd that you have to make your own beds. Not great value for money if you discount the location.
Review 10:The views are fantastic. Minutes from the ski lifts. Good food and a shop just yards away.
Review 11:Not enough signs and information leaflets in English I repeatedly had to ask the staff what signs and information meant and was told it doesn't apply to me. The hotel didn't have the information booklet in English and had to be translated in English but this took 3 days+ to happen by which time I had asked repeatedly at the reception for key information about the hotel and local area. The staff are rude and couldn't be bothered to go the extra mile. Concerns are overlooked and at one point a member of staff that could speak English decided to answer my concerns in French. Very rude The reception has certain opening and closing times, if you have any queries and it is even 1 minute to or past the time closing the staff would ignore you or tell you to come back the next the next day. The French have a repetition for being rude. I have experienced this first has by staying at this hotel.
Review 12:The location is beautiful, facilities at the hotel excellent the week we arrived the spa facilities were free. The local area has multiple shops and restaurants that were opened skeleton hours, but fulfilled our basic needs. You can pre order bread and croissants from the main reception at a reasonable price very fresh and tasty. Lots of French, German, Spanish and British tourists
Review 13:Ideal place to watch Le Tour de France. Easy to get to other stages and travel around. Excellent staff on bureau and also good maintenance staff when we had a leak! Quick and helpful. Swimming pool a bit small and busy, children not kept in control. Lovely views and great setting
Review 14:The staff were very kind. They gave us all what we asked. It has a very comfortable roofed parking. The apprtments are big, new and full accessorized. Place is beautiful
Review 15:Only 4 towels in a duplex for 7 people
Review 16:Nice views
Review 17:going home....
Review 18:Fantastic and spacious apartment, fabulous view, 2mins from slopes, everything is perfect. Reception staff very friendly and helpful
Review 19:The location is breath taking!
Review 20:No free wi-fi. Poor breakfast. Small overcrowded pool, sauna wasn't working.
Review 21:The wonderfull surrounding of Pyrenees.
Review 22:Have to clean the room before you check out. There was a nasty smell in the room.
Review 23:Location, Location, Location love to go back in winter.
Review 24:no tea pot
Review 25:the view
Review 26:Cramped apartment poor leisure facilities not good value for money
Review 27:good location friendly staff
Review 28:Information prior to arrival was a bit poor
Review 29:Fantastic views Spacious Ideal short stopover
Review 30:We traveled with a person with physical problems with wheelchair. They solved all the problems that came.
Review 31:Facilitiy a bit tired, check in closed when arrived at 8pm
Review 32:Location, scenery
Review 33:The view.
Review 34:Shuttlebus to the slopes - we were the stop AFTER the slopes - so had to go all the way round the circuit - would be quicker walking when roads are dry. (This is provided by resort, not the hotel, so not their fault)
Review 35:Swimming bath (free) Gym/Sauna, but €49 per week/apartment. Good views over the valley. Foxes at night cleaning the bread we put out for the birds.
Review 36:La Mongie is very much a winter resort, and is relatively charmless, with lots of non-pretty hotels, including Residence Mer et Golf.Although there was a pool, a sauna, a hammam and a gym, everythingexcept the pool had to be paid extra and the gym was a joke. On top ofthat, we had to do our own cleaning, and there was a very detailedinstruction in French only on how to do that (we could by an expensivecleaning kit in the reception). If the cleaning was not good enough, wewere threatened with 100 Euros in fine. The previous guest had not beenvery good...
Review 37:Location: in the middle of beautiful mountains, right beside Pic duMidi, a jog away from Col du Tourmalet, a relatively short car trip awayfrom Cirque de Gavarnie.
Review 38:We had a 3 night stay, had a lovely time. Drawback was on checkout, we were given a list of requirement before we leave - empty bin, clean bathroom, strip bed and clean floor. Not what I would consider correct for a 3 night stay.
Review 39:cleanleness maintenance of the residence; lot of damages services and equipment not according expectation Vs price (Sauna, Fitness..)
Review 40:location of the hotel pool inside appartment
Review 41:I guess having to clean the room before departure. appears a little strict but perhaps due to staffing problems end of season?
Review 42:location
Review 43:staff great swiming pool good
Review 44:Sheep etc should be controlled with cattle grids
Review 45:Very quiet
Review 46:clean appartment, private parking space in garage, nature, adequate and friendly staff, swimming pool.
