Reviews for Citotel Hotel La Villa Marine

Review 1:The room was far too small and also quite shabby (not chic). Whilst having a sea view is a nice idea, it's not much use if you can only see it when you stand at the window! Also, because our room looked over the railway station, one could not leave window open during night because it would have been too noisy. Once again, no mirror in the bedroom which seems to be a problem with a lot of French hotels! The overall cleanliness of the room was not of a very good standard. The hotel did not have a bar and we therefore had to walk quite a way to find a place to have a glass of wine (the pub next door did not look inviting). The notice in the lift regarding not wasting food at breakfast was a bit offputting too!

Review 2:The food in the restaurant was fine and service was fine.

Review 3:The restaurant for an evening meal was expensive and disappointing although breakfast was good.

Review 4:The room although small was comfortable with an excellent bed.

Review 5:a touch on the expensive side for what you get - but this is France I am afraid.

Review 6:Good location, friendly and helpful staff, clean room, good sound proof windows (needed) to the outside, restaurant.

Review 7:room very small, bath room door didn't close well, little choice with breakfast, didn't hand out the wifi code on check-in, no one at the reception at night.

Review 8:breakfast dining room very modern and nicely decorated.

Review 9:Had room on third floor and the wifi was impossible to get connected to.

Review 10:good clean room with good staff. Food excellent.

Review 11:Tiny rooms.

Review 12:Great location.

Review 13:Smell of cooking fish

Review 14:View of sea from room

Review 15:No water in Room

Review 16:We booked a Relax room but there was nothing special about that room (3rd floor "Le Sable"). Where was the relaxed in it? We had sea view but the room was very small and old. This does not compare what was offered via the website. Strange because the lobby and restaurant are renewed and cosy.

Review 17:Breakfast and dinner were great. The kitchen and staff do a fine job! Breakfast buffet offers a lot of choice and fine local food (love the authentic apple juice!). Location is fine near the station but a bit awkward in the corner and near a kind of industrial site. The sea view is there alright but no cosy beach. Parking is free in front of the hotel right besides the train station.

Review 18:The hotel being shut when we arrived at 16.45. Note on door saying "back at 17.00". No one returned until 17.15. Tired after long journey and not able to get to our room. Staff then busy. Restaurant closed on Sunday night, would have been helpful to have known this.

Review 19:The room and the location. Breakfast no more than OK

Review 20:Wonderful warm reception on arrival - a beautiful room overlooking the sea - easy and free parking - within easy walking distance of seafront and promenade and a wonderful range of restaurants - a super breakfast

Review 21:No negatives.

Review 22:The restaurant was absolutely superb, excellent value. Our room had windows overlooking the harbour and also looking out to the sea.

Review 23:rooms a little basic

Review 24:food and service

Review 25:Poor shower and mildew in bathroom.

Review 26:Position. Good bedding.

Review 27:nothing at all

Review 28:I could take my dog

Review 29:The view on the sea includes about 100+ meters of parking lot... rooms are smaller than shown. The breakfast is exquisite though!
