Reviews for Hôtel La Cachette

Review 1:Parking can be an issue at busy times but we did visit over the new year weekend. Initial entrance via the ground floor is a little off putting as it looks more like a prison than a hotel and it's not easy to get your suitcases to and from your car if there has been any heavy snow as the main pathway hadn't been cleared sufficiently. Wifi is a bit of a joke as you need to log in with your room number and the inactivity timeout is about 30 seconds so you find yourself constantly logging in. Reception pre-authorise a bar credit on your card at check-in of 200EURO which we are still waiting to be cancelled.

Review 2:Staff are very friendly, especially the bar staff. The breakfast is superb with a large buffet choice of cold continental options along with hot option of bacon, eggs, beans etc. The location is the key feature directly opposite one lift and only a short walk from a major lift. The Ski shop is only a short walk away and they allow you to store your skis, boots etc. at the end of the day. The only downside is that the storage area isn't specially heated so if your boots are wet I recommend taking them back to the hotel room for the night. Room was a bit small but perfectly comfortable and clean/tidy. Overall a pleasant experience and the "didn't like" comments wouldn't stop us staying there again.

Review 3:There were no ski lockers but we were allowed to keep our skis and boots in our room - I'm assuming because it said they had a boot room. Buffet dinner three nights and table service three nights - should have been mentioned before as we were expecting buffet every night. Booked a double room but got two singles pushed together.

Review 4:Food was very good and hotel is in a good place for beginners and a 5 min walk to the lift that takes you to intermediate pistes. Room was nice too.

Review 5:scrambled eggs were not good, but the boiced egg option more than compensated. this is the only complaint which as you,can tell is very minor. hence I will be booking again for my next ski trip

Review 6:half board accomodation with buffet style breakfast and waitered evening meal. food was very good.

Review 7:Didn't like the entrance on level 1,got a bit panicked but no worries all good when you get to reception on level 4.

Review 8:Close to lifts, food was great and everyone really helpful.

Review 9:The food was good with excellent buffet of entrees each evening and great cheese board, but we would have liked a better quality of main dishes and wine.

Review 10:Staff were always friendly and helpful

Review 11:Had some problems with WiFi connection. One night was problem with heating - it was freezing cold at dinner

Review 12:Great location, awesome food, big well-maintained rooms

Review 13:Restaurant very crowded for breakfast due to lack of space due to number of guests. Choice of food also slightly limited.

Review 14:Location
