Review 1：Pool area was dated. Wifi only works in lobby. No air conditioning. Hotel was quite a long way from town and beach.

Review 4：The o ly disappointment was that at time of booking due to my fear of heights I requested a middle floor and double room, we actually got the 3rd floor and a twin room. Maybe this wasn't the fault of the hotel, but it did spoil my experience a little. Although we had a ceiling fan it was exceptionally hot at night, this was probably the case for the whole of Spain at the time we went, if that could be improved it would be even better.

Review 6：The hotel itself is magnificent, located 300metres from an access to a rocky beach, which is not overcrowded. It has its own swimming pool and sunbed area, and very ample parking. The staff are excellent, and very friendly. The only downside is that the rooms are a bit dated, and there is no Air Conditioning in the building itself.

Review 9：I had a problem with the lack of air conditioning as the weather was exceptionally hot. The ceiling fan wasn't sufficient for me.

Review 10：Although the hotel was further out of Moraira than I had anticipated, a bonus was watching the festival fireworks from my balcony. There are several good restaurants about five minutes walk away. The pool area was very relaxing and the staff were lovely and very obliging.

Review 11：We loved the staff and the fact that the rooms were cleaned every day. also wifi was available in the lobby which was good for the kids. Breakfast was good. It would be nice if the kitchens opened to do cooked breakfast as well. But it was certainly acceptable. Location was good. You do need a car to get to moraira if you have kids. It was really good value.

Review 12：Pool was nice and the hotel is in a good location if you like to walk, as I do. The check-in service was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a little tired but clean and the bathroom was very large.

Review 13：Noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in. There was a dog in the room next door which barked, and the owners got up at 5.30am to walk it. It seems the whole hotel then started to bang doors etc. and we eventually gave up trying to sleep and left before breakfast.

Well, unless you sat in a particular chair in a particular location, or out by the reception desk, then the Wifi was non existent. the comfy lounge area had no signal at all. So, if internet is an important part of your stay, then this hotel is not for you.For me personnaly, it wasn't a problem, as there are many wifi friendly establishments in the town.

Review 18：The Hotel is as described, and a very good location for access to the Town of Moraira. Although a very basic hotel , it had all that was required for my short stay.The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.The breakfast is continental and more than enough on offer to start the day.

Review 19：Would recommend taking your own tea bags if (like me) you enjoy a decent cuppa with your breakfast. No other problems though and we would definitely stay there again :)

Review 22：Biggest bedroom and bathroom we have ever had and very clean. Our dog was very welcome. Location close to beach and bar excellent. Loads of restaurants a very short walk away. Lovely walk to the town centre of Moraira. Continental breakfast great. Will definitely return for a longer stay next time.

Review 32：The hotel has spacious grounds which offer tranquility and adequate exercise area for a small dog (essential in my choice). It is about 1 Km to the town centre and a car is a must: this is not considered a disadvantage. The neighbourhood is upmarket with some lovely villas close-by.

Review 33：Ultra-Clean 2 star hotel, Nice Courteous Staff, Good Breakfast, Reasonably priced drinks at the bar. Good restaurants and Supermarket nearby. This would have been "The-Place to be" in the 70's or 80's, but still well maintained and Ultra-Clean.

Review 34：No air con, so we do not stay here in the height of the summer! shame. The Pool needs some tlc, tiles brocken and cracked. Bathrooms also need floors re-tiled.

The potential at this place is enormous but they seem content with being 2 star.It is set in lovely location but the decor is shabby and you have to play hunt the staff to get a coffee.

Review 79：I think some people might think this hotel, quirky though it is, was a little old - but it was spotlessly clean and the staff were lovely. The quiet ceiling fan in the bedroom was perfect for our needs - some might expect air-con. The walls in the bedrooms may be a little thin in the dead of night.

Review 80：Charming, family run business - really handy to walk down to Moraira's beaches. Good breakfast - invited to take it outside on the terrace in the shade. Free parking right outside. Nice bar and pool there - it was extremely quiet but when the season really starts it would be a nice place to chat and enjoy a drink. Very good, reliable wifi in the bar-.lounge area. Nice rooms with individual private sea-view terraces and a refurbished en-suite bathroom. Good flat screen TV with a decent remote too.

Review 96：For us the Gema is perhaps the best of the hotels in Moraira based mainly on its location near to the sea. It is a budget hotel, but with all of the simple basics that we need. We did visit another hotel, but it was also remote and the walk to the town centre was no way near as pleasurable as that from the Gema. Breakfasts were simple with no hot option and the tv ancient and with no Enslish language - but we did not need it. Wifi was free but only available near to reception. Cleanliness could not be faulted. In short it was good value and we strongly recommend it for those content with basic needs and adequate energy for the fairly long walk to town centre. Lots of free parking for those needing it.

The reception staff were very friendly and gave us a warm reception- so we were sold instantly. This hotel is a great find and a great stay if you only need a bed for the night.
