Reviews for Hôtel Arcadien
Review 1:the room was lovely and comfortable, and the outdoor hot tub and sauna were perfect after a day on the (very near) slopes. easy access to great parts of the mountain. we ate some of the best meals of our lives, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. we couldn't have asked for more - only wished we could have expressed our gratitude properly in french!
Review 2:Massive family room on two levels each with bathroom, great for a family to not all be in the same room. The room appeared newly decorated and was very comfortable.
Review 3:Expensive breakfast EUR 12 for kids older than 6 years; No elevator if you have heavy luggage but staff offers help to carry. - It should be emphasized in Booking.com for correct GPS positioning that the hotel is not situated down in Bourg-Saint-Maurice but 1.600 m up the hill in the very small alpine village Les Arcs - which is an extra 15 min ride.
Review 4:Wonderful alpine surroundings also with summer activitites when we visited. Nice, quiet and clean traditional alp designed rooms; wonderful serviceminded staff. Nice fresh breakfast. Good wifi.
Review 5:Nothing
Review 6:Exactly what a perfect hotel needs to be, friendly helping staff, tidy room, comfortable beds, great breakfast and on top of that a free swimming pool and jacuzzi. All that for a low price
Review 7:tea and coffee making facilities would have been good.We were leaving early morning and had to go in to town to purchase some.
Review 8:The location was fantastic. choice of restaurants was good. staff were very helpfull
Review 9:Everything was super great, super nice staff, beautiful view, the rooms are large, nicely decorated and also fair price. I highly recommend this hotel.
Review 10:the spa had a wierd smell in places, little mold in my shower, no kettle in room. interactions with a number of staff although plesant just seemed awkward.
Review 11:very nice place with good facilities
Review 12:parents of young children bringing then to th jacuzzi as it is forbidden for less than 14 years old
Review 13:restaurant, confort in the rooms, no cars around the hotel, hability to ski in front of the hotel, spa
Review 14:Truly friendly and helpful staff. Spa accessible all the day, included in the price. Excellent breakfast, and really amazing, imaginative dinner - you should take this option !
Review 15:We arrived from the funicular, and it proved difficult to find on foot, (in the dark and raining!). Perhaps some improvement in signage or better directions after booking would help? At breakfast, would appreciate a better quality of natural yogurt (ie not in a pre-packed pot), and croissant. Absence of a lift was not an issue for us, but could challenge any guest with a mobility problem after injury. Perhaps this also could be made clearer on hotel information prior to booking.
Review 16:All staff extremely welcoming, friendly, and efficient at their job. The absence of any other British guests from travel companies was refreshing. The food at dinner was excellent, and a great end to the day.
Review 17:Rooms are slightly hot at night
Review 18:It was really well positioned, with hot tub, sauna, jacuzzi. We had a problem being locked out of our room one night and the staff dealt with it very nicely
Review 19:When you want to leave the hotel with car for day trips, you must survive a 20-min serpentine drive in the mountainside each way (up and down).
Review 20:Peaceful location, helpful staff, charming restaurant nearby, fresh air, great view
Review 21:Staff food location
Review 22:Comfy rooms and friendly staff.
Review 23:The tertace
Review 24:No provisions for making drinks in the room
Review 25:Good breakfasts and lovely staff
Review 26:Difficult to get to from station
Review 27:Excellent food
Review 28:We booked a family room and it was very small
Review 29:Great location Very clean Very comfortable Excellent staff Nice food in the restaurent
Review 30:View, room, staff, spa, everything, really.
Review 31:Room was too hot.
Review 32:Perfect location for skiing. Excellent food. We ate in the hotel in the evening too. 3 course meal for 24€ which was superb quality and value. Great facility ski lockers and area to take boots on and off. Would highly recommend for ski holiday.
Review 33:One main reason for booking Arcadien was the sauna and spa but they were not in good working order. Jacuzzi broken at least for some jets and the hot tub jets were basically to clogged to be effective. The facilities closed at 20:00. Better to close at 22:00 and to have a heated outdoor pool.
Review 34:Friendly staff and reasonably sized room, morning breakfast - though it could have included some warm dishes, eggs ( other than cold hard boiled ).
Review 35:Room was sometimes too warm but leaving window ajar fixed that!
Review 36:Staff were extremely pleasant & helpful. Breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice & with regular replenishment so never a shortage of anything despite being quite busy. Dinner in restaurant was good value. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Facilities were good with everything working. Closeness to lift sytem and Funicular for travel to/from BourgStM. Would have no hesitation in booking again.
Review 37:hotel was fine but limited information both on booking website and hotel website as to what to expect of what we had booked.
Review 38:really helpful and pleasant staff, excellent breakfast, variable dinner although desserts good (but would welcome cheese option) - very enjoyable stay
Review 39:While showering you had to lay towels on the ground, if not the bathroom flooded. There was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom as well as in the closet. Behind the bed we found an empty bottle of water of the previous guests. The sauna was a laugh, a self build construction with a door that did not close. If you did not make sure that the sauna was put on in the morning, it was still cold in the evening. The water of the hot tub was not refreshed after each use. This hotel is only worth 2 stars.
Review 40:Very friendly staff and excellent location only 200 m from the slopes. The wifi connection was good. Breakfast was okay, dinner was simple but adequate.
Review 41:No drying room for skiboots Sauna doesnt work properly Only cold meals for breakfast
Review 42:Location is perfect - not in front of the slope but just next to. (Very quiet) Room is well-furnished
Review 43:If you have the option of half board, take it! Dinner at hotel was €24/person. There are only 4 restaraunts in the village open for dinner (most around same price, one more expensive). There are several bars in the village open in the evening, but they only serve light snacks.
Review 44:Location was excellent and the price was very good! The staff was very helpful. All of the les arcs and villandry resorts were well connected and be great options. The beds were very comfortable. We went during off season so no issue with the limited spa space (inside jacuzzi seats three, small sauna, and outside Nordic tub seats 4 or 5). Breakfast was plentiful and checkout hours and ski lockers were great! Would certainly stay again!
Review 45:The breakfast room was always cold and I found out that the hotel restaurants were closed for the whole week I was there. They could vary the breakfasts slightly.
Review 46:Style of the hotel, location close to the funiculare made it easy to travel by train. The excellent quality and speed of the internet. Easy checkin and check out. Nice staff ! Very welcoming. I would stay again !
Review 47:- it was actually not possible to use the swimming pool for swimming because of too many children inside. I suggest to add 1 hour opening time only for adults for swimming e.c. from 19 to 20pm.
Review 48:- wonderful valley view from the large balcony - breakfast served in family atmosphere - fast check in / check out
Review 49:Excellent value for money Very convenient for the ski area good food friendly staff nice clean room good spa area comfortable beds -soft pillows and duvet quiet
Review 50:The hot tub was small and not extremely clean. The après ski was oftendifficult because the spa space was limited to 10 people at a time. Nota big deal because we didn't go to be in a hot tub but don'texpect to get more than 8 people in the two small tubs at once. Also thedinners were only ok for the price. We ate one night then out atrestaurants the rest of the trip.
Review 51:We really enjoyed the location of this hotel, it was very close to theslopes, shops, restaurants and lifts. When we had a mix up with ourbooking the hotel staff was helpful and easy to deal with. Also we foundthe rooms comfortable and nicely appointed. The breakfast that wasincluded in our room was also well done and with great coffee.
Review 52:Great family room on a split level so no snoring to keep others awake. Superb views of the alps and copious amounts of breakfast to set us up for the day.
Review 53:I think it would be a good idea to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Review 54:Free wifi and the spa. I had an excellent massage and enjoyed the hot tub. Dinners in the hotel were interesting and very good value.
Review 55:Facilities for storing skis, boards and boots was limited but this was only a minor point.
Review 56:Staff were very friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier. As we had booked a room for four people sharing with half board for only Euro 245 total for one night we were extremely impressed with what we got. I wouldn't hesitate to booked to stay there again.
Review 57:The spa is so tiny that no more than 7-8 people can use it at a time
Review 58:Close to skilifts, spacy room (for Alps), parking is Arc 1600 is free
Review 59:Spa not as expected Small facilities
Review 60:Very nice staff Excellent restaurant menus Location of hotel to access ski slope
Review 61:Noise of other guests
Review 62:Helpful friendly staff
Review 63:We had a great time and the staff was very friendly. Tara at the front desk was very helpful.
Review 64:great price/quality. nice clean rooms, newly decorated, quiet, good location.
Review 65:The Spa facilities and swimming pool
Review 66:Staff were very nice, room was comfortable and modern decor, andspa was nice.
Review 67:Friendly and helpful staff and nice relaxed atmosphere
