Reviews for Les Prés de Mautort
Review 1:There was nothing to dislike
Review 2:The owner was so pleasant and helpful. It was a very comfortable place to stay. The breakfast was very good. The first place I have stayed with such a choice of teas, even a tea cosy for the pot.
Review 3:Owner spoke fluent English lovely room with wet room fridge TV Wifi. Heating worked really well. 10 mins out of Abbeville 2 mins off the motorway. Great breakfast. very hospitable. An hour 20 mins from Calais. Would stay there again
Review 4:Ideally located stop-off when travelling across Northern France - a couple of minutes off the A28 autoroute. Very friendly and helpful owner. Excellent traditional French breakfast including eggs from the property' sown hens. Looks like a great place for children - large garden with swings and covered swimming pool. We will book in again when we're in the area.
Review 5:It is away from the sea but then it makes it special as away from the touristy crowded places. It is ideal for getting away from busy life but maybe not so for entertainments.
Review 6:It is a little sacred place with beautiful garden, very well designed room and the most friendly staff that made us to feel like staying longer.
Review 7:Nothing at all.
Review 8:Our stay here was delightful in all respects. The room was very attractively furnished with a comfortable bed and the bathroom was ultra modern and ultra chic, with a huge glass shower and a great design. Our hostess welcomed us warmly and recommended (and made the reservation at) a restaurant in Abbeville for dinner, which turned out to be superb. Breakfast was truly excellent and our hostess, in addition to providing great, coffee, croissants, baguettes and preserves, asked if we would also like ham, eggs (any style), cheese or anything else we wished. She then provided perfectly cooked fresh eggs, from her own chickens! We shall definitely be returning again and again to this delightful B&B.
Review 9:The directions to the Chambre were very difficult to follow need more instructions.
Review 10:The owner was delightful nothing too much trouble. The facilities were excellent the room very charming.
Review 11:Very welcoming proprietor, nothing too much trouble. Superb breakfast served overlooking a very pretty garden with swimming pool. Comfortable room with "French style" decor.
Review 12:The WiFi worked only once, for a short period.
Review 13:The friendly welcome and attentiveness to guests could not have been better. Staying here was a real pleasure! It represented good value for money.
Review 14:The people are very friendly and speak good English. The room I had for a disabled visitor was excellent and very pretty. Large walk in shower and plenty of storage space. As there are a few steps up to the dining room in the old building we were brought a substantial continental breakfast to our room and could have eaten it outside if the weather had been better. Very close to the A28 motorway. The area of the Baie du Somme is good for nature lovers, not too far from the coast and also convenient for the Somme Battlefields.
Review 15:So close to the motorway and yet so far! Countryside setting that's peaceful and beautiful. Staff is kind, room is spacious, breakfast is excellent. Don't hesitate!
Review 16:Beautiful rooms, very nice interior. Fantastic breakfast, everything was to perfection including cutlery, crockery and accesories. Could not wish for a more friendly and kind owner, we were very well looked after. Good location, close to many points of interest.
Review 17:A walk outside to the breakfast room in bad weather with some steps to negotiate! OK for us, but wouldn't be good for anybody a bit unsteady on their feet.
Review 18:Location - only a few minutes of the motorway - yet quiet and peaceful; spacious and well-appointed accommodation; very friendly and hospitable hosts
Review 19:My only SMALL point is that, at €85 for bed and breakfast, it does represent the top end of the B&B market. Having said that, we will surely return as the multiple pluses outweigh this minor point!
Review 20:The owner Sarah is super efficient and is bi-lingual English / French. The room was comfortable and the bathroom (shower) was excellent. We slept very well in the comfortable bed. The breakfast was nice with "a la carte" available (eggs, tomatoes, ham, cheese). The centre of town is 3.5km away so a bit too far to walk. However a short drive in the car with plenty of free parking available. Great "real France" atmosphere in the town with good restaurants. We liked it greatly.
Review 21:Nothing... everything about it was as described.
Review 22:Really comfortable and well appointed accomodation. Good location particulralry in relation to Calais and ferry crossing. Owner was really helpful and welcoming.
Review 23:nothing!
Review 24:Quite near the motorway ,but not so near that you would know it was there. Excellent accommodation , friendly hostess who speaks very good English. Very reasonable .
Review 25:There is nothing to dislike.
Review 26:Everything - from the warm and friendly welcoming, the very comfortable bedroom and then the excellent 'proper' breakfast just before our departure. The location is perfect for anyone travelling to/from Calais, which is just 75 minutes away. I highly recommend this delightful B&B. You will not be disappointed.
Review 27:A little hard to find without Satnav. About 15 mins drive from Abbeville. We took bus in but needed to get a taxi back (cost 15 euros). Not a problem but if you want to have a drink with dinner taxi is the only way back.
Review 28:Very friendly welcome. Lots of information provided. Beautifully decorated room. Large wet-room with walk in shower. Sitting area right outside room in the sun all day. Swimming pool (although very cold when we were in it) Beautiful gardens. Tranquil setting. Hostess was absolutely charming and very helpful. Delicious continental breakfast. Excellent value for money.
Review 29:Nothing to dislike.
Review 30:Lovely room, good breakfast. Pity about the temperature and rain otherwise we would have had a swim in the pool which is set in a beautiful garden.
Review 31:Nothing!
Review 32:A very charming Bed and Breakfast. Sarah, the owner, was very kind to stay up late to welcome us since we drove all the way from the Netherlands and ended up late! She welcomed us with a smile and attended to all our needs before she went to bed. The rooms have been carefully and tastefully decorated. We really enjoyed the beautiful views of the meadow and the countryside during breakfast the next morning. We would certainly like to spend a few days in the area in the future.
Review 33:We liked everything and wished we had booked to stop on our way home to UK as well as on our way out.
Review 34:Easy to access from the motorway. Friendly owner Sarah who speaks good English. Clean, nicely furnished rooms with good showers. Ample breakfast which we ate outside in the very pleasant garden.

Review 59:It was run by very friendly lady who had put a lot of effort into detail and spoke english and i would deifinitely stay there again. Excellent value for money.
Review 60:We enjoyed an excellent stop over here. A very friendly welcome and great room, lovely breakfast on the terrace in the morning. As the weather was good we were able to make use of the pool and garden.
Review 61:Only that we didn't have the time to stay longer!
Review 62:A lovely, quiet, secluded spot - but close to downtown Abbeville. Delightful rooms, all the little extra touches. Excellent breakfast. Best of all - a welcoming hostess with superb recommendations for the local area.
Review 63:Nothing I didnt like

Review 65:Nothing.
Review 66:Very warm welcome, well appointed tastefully decorated bedrooms, good breakfast. This was our second visit based on positive experience first time around, and we will be booking again in future.
Review 67:Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Sarah was very welcoming and showed us around the property. Beautiful views from the breakfast room. Would definitely recommend.
Review 68:Sarah was so friendly and welcoming, it made us feel at home straight away! It was so easy to find, which made getting off and then back on the A16 so quick. Perfect for a stop over!
Review 69:The bedroom & lounge area was superb. Clean, warm & stylish. Met by the owner sarah on arrival to a lovely warm welcome. Delightful after a long journey Breakfast was excellent - fresh pastries from the local bakery. Parking available outside your accommodation. All in all perfect!
Review 70:Everything was excellent - but especially the welcome on arrival and the care taken of us as guests. Breakfast was gorgeous. Location was superb. Rooms clean and beautifully furnished. Fantastic.
Review 71:Chickens had not laid any eggs
Review 72:Best we experienced when travelling through France. Sarah very helpful, breakfast also very good. Would recommend without reserve.
Review 73:The lady owner, Sarah, was delightful and most helpful. The breakfast was very good. The fittings and bathroom were excellent and well thought out.
Review 74:Very friendly owner who despite me being late, ushered me in with smiles to my room. Very comfortable bed and super shower room. Excellent breakfast with good quality ingredients delivered to the door, bright and early as requested.
Review 75:Sarah was a lovely host her Home is so beautiful we arrived on a motorbike and was very cold and sarah made us very welcome. The room was breath taking, I highly recommend this beautiful place. we are definitely going back next year thank you Sarah.
Review 76:Really handy to the main road on our way from Caen to Calais. Lovely family who have opened their home to visitors, great teapots and choice of teabags for those with a preference for tea. Would highly recommend. We had a lovely stay, albeit it too short.
Review 77:Too far to walk to abbeville, no nearby restera ts within easy walking distance.
Review 78:Welcome, fresh milk chilled carafe of water on arrival. Own outdoor sitting area, soundproofing in room. Fantastic breakfast room ,small but lovely views very homely.
Review 79:Thought the price for the use of the jacuzzi and sauna was a bit expensive at 45e for 1 and a half hours
Review 80:The owners were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms were beautifully decorated, there was a large lounge as well as a bedroom and tea and coffee were provided. We had a young baby with us and a cot was provided and also a fridge and microwave so we could eat in the room. Breakfast was included and was excellent.
Review 81:Everything! Fantastic hostess...fantastic room..breakfast...location...couldnt fault it even though it rained the entire time we were there. Would definitely recommend and come back to visit!
Review 82:Absolutely nothing!
Review 83:Lovely welcome; brought us a jug of milk so we could have several drinks, rather than just the usual two servings. Room facilities were very good, nice,y decorated and very clean. Breakfast in the conservatory overlooking the garden and countryside made for a good start to the day!
Review 84:From the excellent location very close to the motorway, to the comfortable room through to the excellent breakfast, this place cannot be faulted. Despite a late arrival, the owners were very friendly and went out of their way to help us. We only had one night travelling to the UK but could easily spend longer. Highly recommended.
Review 85:Honestly cannot think of a thing, [and we won't mention the exploits of Charbon, le chat chasseur!].
Review 86:Wonderfully warm welcome from the owner, comfortable clean well-equipped accommodation, great breakfast combining continental and cooked! Location is perfect, so near to the autoroute and to Abbeville but [beyond their own wonderful garden] surrounded by countryside. We only made an overnight stop, but it is clearly an ideal base for a holiday around the Somme. By chance we were in the bedroom that is a mini-apartment with a kitchen corner which was a very welcome bonus, and we think the plan to give the other 3 rooms a communal kitchen is a good one.
Review 87:excellent stop would not be to everyones taste as bit out of the way, but only 5mins drive to Abbeville city centre, we loved the location, quiet, rural, and a place a little bit different from norm. Well managed, staff friendly and helpful, lovely breakfast, and, unusually for France, we were asked did we want a fried breakfast . Room simply but tastefully furnished with all necessary facilities for overnight stops.
Review 88:Nothing!!
Review 89:Fantastic b & b minutes from motorway. Very friendly owner Sarah and we had a fantastic room. Resident cockerill in garden but didn't wake us up!! Breakfast good with the offer of meats cheeses and eggs as well as the usual croissants etc. Would highly recommend this and will definately be staying again
Review 90:There is absolutley nothing negative to say about Les Pres de Mautort.
Review 91:Everything. A superb place to stay. Great care is taken to look after everyone's needs . If there is something extra that you want, you only need to ask for it and it is provided willingly and graciously. An excellent position for a last night in France before heading for Calias and the Tunnel or for a first night in France after coming from the Tunnel and taking the next stage of one's journey. But but it is also a good place to stay on its own accord as there is so much around - particularly the Bay of the Somme which is exquisite and a great place for wildlife. Visit St. Valery and the small towns around the Bay as well as Abbeville. Thank you Sarah. we shall be back.
Review 92:The host was most helpful & friendly speaking both English & French. The room we stayed in was beautiful & spotlessly clean. Easy to find & great location just off the main road (although far enough away not to get any traffic noise). Delicious breakfast served in breakfast room overlooking garden & pool.
Review 93:Everything, couldn't agree more with the other comments made. So helpful,Sarah is delightful and looked after us so well, they deserve to do well in their b&b business. Sarah saved our holiday by loaning us theirr GPS as ours died! How would we have survived without her generous offer, to strangers. We will never forget this. Lucky for us Sarah spoke English!!
Review 94:Abbeville though large did prove unhelpful when it came to eating outnear the accomodation, a car is certainly required. Whilst there is amicrowave in the accomodation it was not set up for eating in, nor did Iexpect that, so it is not a criticism of Les Pres de Mautort.
Review 95:We were deilghed with our very French styled accomadation wich includeda good sized, very french country house sitting area lovely bedroom andwell appointed bathroom. The accomodation was not far off the mainmotorway so made access easy. Most of the furniture wqas lod styledantique which added to the atmosphere of the stay. Breakfast wascontinental in style with eggs cooked in any way you liked alsoavailable. Our welcome was great and we were made to feel at easy forthe period of our stay.
Review 96:It was very convenient for both the autoroute, and Abbeville centre. The accommodation was delightful and fantastic value for money, friendly host, excellent fresh breakfast.
Review 97:welcome was brilliant and Sarah was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was beautifully and tastefully designed. price was very good and breakfast was also of good quality.
Review 98:Distance to city centre was too far if you did not have transport. We are cycle tourists and it was only a 10min ride.
Review 99:Our host spoke english and was very friendly and extremely helpful and obliging. Our room was luxurious, spacious, clean and warm. The decore was beautiful. Our breakfast was excellent.
Review 100:Nothing! Go there!
Review 101:Very warm welcome from a delightful French couple; beautifully renovatedbuildings; super location if you are driving past on the autoroute; easyparking; excellent breakfast, above and beyond the average French petitdejeuner. Well-appointed bathroom. We were there in winter, but a summervisit would allow guests to use the pool.
Review 102:Another couple of sign posts to direct the way would be useful.
Review 103:Excellent accommodation, warm welcome and warm rooms. Would definitely recommend for an overnight stay. Breakfast was good and we got to see Sarah's great collection of tea cosies for all seasons.
Review 104:We did not mind the short morning stroll round to the breakfast room butsome may have not been too keen. Not suitable for wheelchairs but wethink it possible to have breakfast served in the rooms. These arecertainly not criticisms from us.
Review 105:What a lovely experience - never used a gite before. Nothing was toomuch trouble for hostess Sarah and we learned a lot about the french wayof life from her over breakfast. The 2 rooms were in a 2012 qualityconverted barn and came with wifi, microwave, fridge. Tea/coffeemaking facilities and ingredients and milk. They were very welldecorated in a pseudo vintage french style. The ensuitebethroom/toilet area was big and had a large walk in wet area forthe shower. Room heaters were controllable.. Large outdoor heated poolfor 5 months of year. Spa/sauna also available.Breakfast was of acontinental style. Best wishes for a successful 2013.
Review 106:Excellent accomodation, separate from the main house, which contains thebreakfast room and a lounge for guests use. Large walk in shower andtoilet facilities. Large comfortable bed. Very attractively decorated. On the small but important details, good sized quality bath towels andseparate hand towels provided. Also for the first time I can recall in afrench b&b, or most hotels for that matter, the mirrors werepositioned high enough to actually use them without stooping! Firstclass quality continental breakfast included in the price. Run by afriendly young couple.
Review 107:Our host met us on arrival and welcomed us. She was very friendly and helpful and showed us our room and how things worked and where to go for breakfast the next morning. She also asked us what time we would like breakfast and what we would like. The room was very spacious and the bed was really comfortable....really comfortable. There was a great wet room too. We will definitely re-book this hotel gite again.
Review 108:Lovely little B&B run by very friendly hosts. Perfect place to stop off in northern France to re-charge batteries before the long drive south. We will certainly use it again.
Review 109:Excellent reception from owner. Lovely location but short drive into town. Rooms were fantastic as was breakfast. (taken on the patio)
Review 110:Very friendly and hospitable. Already booked another stay!
