Reviews for Hôtel Du Parc - Pirates
Review 1:There were no facilities in the room like a kettle for tea/coffee and no air conditioning but did not expect it for a 1 star hotel.
Review 2:The location was great for going to Futuroscope theme park and it is a value for money hotel
Review 3:no air conditioning in room made it hot summer night with 5 adults in the room. Car ark was full, so had to park elsewhere, but was closeby.
Review 4:Good location, bright, clean and airy. Good size room Good Breakfast
Review 5:Only vending machines in foyer so when stock is sold out (water in this instance) you may not be able to get what you want until the Machine is filled again
Review 6:Rooms cater for 5 in a decent sized room which suits our family size and baggage numbers.
Review 7:it was a pirate hotel but there was no pirate atmosphere,it was decorated in pirate stuff but dont go expecting it to be themed.and we had housekeeping knocking on the door at quarter to 11
Review 8:it was near futuroscope it was easy to go back and forth,it was clean
Review 9:Too hot,no air need air conditioning!
Review 10:A room for 5 people is rare! We normally have to get 2 rooms! The breakfast was very nice, fresh mini French pastries, juice, hot & cold drinks, lots of cereals! Good shower and only 10 min. Walk to Futuroscope so we didn't have to pay parking!
Review 11:Mattresses were a little hard, could do with an extra pillow for adults
Review 12:The hotel was exactly what it said it would be. Brilliant location, just off the A10 & easy to find. Very clean, spacious room for the five of us.
Review 13:Basin too high for children to use but luckily I was travelling with my 88 yr old mother, she couldn't have a shower and hairwash because there wasn't a hairdryer and we didn't want to make the bed wet and there was only 1 towel each. I couldn't use my computer or hairdryer because after travelling for 2 days the battery was dead and the plugs didn't accept my round European adaptor, which I have used in all other places without trouble. Toilet light too bright for night-time visits! Although exhausted neither of us could sleep due to the mattresses, maybe they've got memory foam inside since that always causes backache.
Review 14:layout of room & separate bathroom facilities. colour scheme. Easy access from motorway and places nearby to eat.
Review 15:Very close to Futuroscope park, walking distance; free parking; Currently hotel is under refurbishment - so most probably in couple of weeks time, 2 floor will be totally new:)
Review 16:We were really surprised to walk in the room to see the decor. It was brilliant, the children loved it. They thought it was the best ever. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were helpful. We had to leave before the breakfast hours but they still offered us something. We will definitely be staying next year on our way home again.
Review 17:Rooms a little tired, but you can't expect more at this price.
Review 18:Needed a hotel for break in travelling through France, and wanted to visit Futuroscope. Good value for money.
Review 19:No air co Wifi only in the lobby Room was small for four people, would have been worse for five people Not possible to open the window because of ground floor and highway side so not safe and noisy Shower was splashing a lot so bathroom was flooded rapidly :)
Review 20:Perfect location, we discovered on the last day we were less than 10 min walking distance from futuroscope entrance. Breakfast buffet was quite ok and very close by. Special prices also for the breakfast for people who booked through booking.com, so dont forget fo remind the cashier each day you booked through booking.com at the beakfast restaurant. Free shuttle bus from the hotel to the futuroscope entrance each 30 min in the morning and in the evening. Family rooms are for 5 people. We paid 55 euros per night.
Review 21:We hated this pig pen. Filthy, unsafe hovel. Rude and scruffy staff. Wejust asked for a refund and walked out. We would rather sleep in a busshelter. We shall tell anyone who will listen never to go there.
Review 22:Absolutely nothing!!!
Review 23:restaurant access outside hotel restaurant to hotel difficult for wheelchair
Review 24:great value for money children loved bunk beds
Review 25:Kids loved it
Review 26:Very cramped rooms. Very smelly drains. Very basic.
Review 27:Location and my son loved the "theme"
Review 28:Meals both breakfast, evening meal not many options available.
Review 29:Good locations, quiet, comfortable room
Review 30:breakfast could be, improved lack of fresh products
Review 31:Nothing
Review 32:Everything is allowed for the children.
Review 33:Excellent value for money great for family's with 3 children and close to the park
Review 34:Would have liked more pillows! Also would have liked cold water to drink at breakfast - the water out of the machine was not cold.
Review 35:Bed was very uncomfortable Wifi did not work - unsecured Room in need of refurbishment
Review 36:helpful receptionist Parking
Review 37:The hotel looked like a hostel. The room needed up dating and painting.
Review 38:Hotel situated just off the motorway.
Review 39:Easy access from motorway Restaurant on site Excellent value for money Comfortably sleeps 5
Review 40:Budget hotel with basic rooms. Exactly what we needed at a fantastic price. 10 minute walk to Futuroscope or jump on the free shuttle bus.
Review 41:Rooms very poor standard
Review 42:Pirate restaurant was good
Review 43:We discovered on arrival that the Hotel du Parc was actually closed and we were directed to the Jules Verne adjacent, which were using some of their rooms. The room was extremely hot and spare. Not the most comfortable night's sleep we've ever had at all
Review 44:The breakfast was fairly good value
Review 45:restaurant a bit of a joke, dont bother. not really suitable for anything other than an overnight stopover
Review 46:price and location, this is a good overnight stopover if you are on a journey. Especially if you are traversing france from spain to uk or uk to spain.
Review 47:Beds uncomfortable Nasty nylon bed covers!
Review 48:Friendly, helpful staff. Able to store bicycles inside Great shower Room for 5 people, great for large families.
Review 49:The beds were a little hard as the mattress was a bit thin But we only stayed one night. Arrived at midnight only to find no one in reception and had to go back out to another hotel to get the keys (close by) and then return to our hotel.
Review 50:The price was very good. If you plan to go to the theme park the location is excellebt. english speaking reception staff very friendly.
Review 51:basic accomodation with very little finesse dirty bathroom which didnt contain shower water so this went everywhere noisy corridor with other guests running around little food option - only one restaurant that is next door which is very good, but staff couldnt recommend anywhere else - approx 2 mile away
Review 52:Although we booked into the hotel du parc, we were actually placed in the hotel jules Verne. We were horrified when the room on the 4th floor had a very large window with no lock or safety catch. After approx an hour, my 5 year old opened the window, Fortunately we were close by. We instantly asked for another room, which was granted, but the receptionist made us feel very upset by complaining that we had messed up her room. Understandably we had sat on the beds, but not touched the shower room. In hindsight we should have taken photos as evidence. Please do not stay at either hotel, there are many others in the local area.
Review 53:The price and location
Review 54:Slightly dated furnishings and only one member of staff seen. Definitely no frills but fine for a night's sleep.
Review 55:Very close to motorway - great when travelling through France. Clean sheets and bathroom. Good shower and separate toilet.
Review 56:Staff were very unhelpful. We made a booking for 2 adults and 3 children, specifying the ages. On arrival no cot was provided, was told only 2 in the whole hotel and they were being used, staff just shrugged and walked away, so had no cot for a 1 year old baby!!! No proper beds just wooden boards with very cheap and nasty mattress, very dirty carpet, I have never stayed in a hotel like this, it was the worst I have come across! Worse than an army barracks! Staff could not care less. Rooms are not sound proof as described, facilities are very basic and poor, NEEDS UPDATING.
Review 57:The location was good, as it was on the autoroute.
Review 58:No Wifi, only in the main hall. The breakfast restaurant is overcrowded and the breakfast itself is expensive for what you get. The toilet smelled.
Review 59:Price is very good. It is well located if you are going to Futuroscope. We could not arrive in time and they stayed one more hour only for us. (We called them, of course)
Review 60:The room was spacious. Great for a stopover
Review 61:Nothing to Do at night ,smell in the room
Review 62:Ideal stop off place for travelling across France and very good prices
Review 63:good all round
Review 64:Expensive breakfast
Review 65:Room was clean, bed comfy. Very near to the Futuroscope.
Review 66:Perfect midway stop off point for our journey. Comfortable, clean and exactly what i expected for the money
Review 67:Very very basic and a bit grim!
Review 68:Very cheap and very convenient for the futuroscope. Fair enough for £50 for 4 people!
Review 69:Get what it says on the packet. Cheap and cheerful!
Review 70:Close to Futuroscope. You are on walking distance. Fairprice/quality. Very good breakfast, for only 7 Euro, adapted pricefor Children.
Review 71:Beds not long enough for adults. No air conditioning. No wifi in room. Check in not manned until 6pm.
Review 72:reasonable price
