Reviews for Hôtel Le Green
Review 1:Room could have been cleaner. Unfortunately, I was bitten by bed bugs during the stay.
Review 2:Good and affordable place to stay for a weekend trip, very central and close to the train station. Staff was also very nice!
Review 3:Please don't be terrified by the entrance, inside is much nicer!
Review 4:Location is a huge plus of this hotel (not even 1 minute far from train station). It is clean, good place to stay for few nights. Very nice staff, it was no problem to leave our suitcase till the end of the day.
Review 5:Hotel staff members were very nice. Appartment was small but cozy and very comfortable. Everything was clean. Appartment included also beautiful modern bathroom with a toilet.
Review 6:Very different from the photos, the reviews are suprisingly positive. Not a nice neighbourhood. The condition of the rooms very poor, door and window doesnt close unless locked. Terrible smell all over property.
Review 7:Comfy bed, quite nice service
Review 8:In order to use the wifi, I had to be close to reception (it didn't work in my room) and even then it didn't work very well. The breakfast was pretty rubbish.
Review 9:The room was small but clean and comfortable enough.
Review 10:Everything, smelly room, disgusting bathroom we didn't even wanted to use, wifi was not available in our room and staff kept them self stupid by saying it's working at the reception! Breakfast is nothing. Specially when they give themselves 2 stars it should be all ok, but this building should be renovated already 70 years ago!
Review 11:Connection to the beach.
Review 12:the staff was excellent, helpful, kind, like family; close to everything. just perfect. The familial side was just great ... it really added to the visit
Review 13:Absolutely everything, we found a whole family of bed bugs living in theheadboard of the bed. It was noisy on the street, the wifi didnt reachthe third floor, room was filthy dirty with piles of dust in eachcorner, there were tools laying around everywhere. Not good, do not stayhere! If this was in the uk it would be shut down, I have no idea howits still open, unless The French laws are completely relaxed, it shouldbe closed.
Review 14:The only good thing about this place, was that the owner was very nice.
Review 15:Dirty, not cleaned after last customer, hairs in my bed, bed sheet not folded onto matrices, just put on top. Bed side light didn't work and very dusty and main light switch falls if you try to turn it on. The shower doesn't drain and soap scup from previous ocupent all around the edge. tiles up in the show tray. Shower was a dribble and was held on the wall by electrical wire twisted around. All hallways smelt of urin
Review 16:They could update the information in the rooms, it was said that we would have to leave our keys at the front desk and get a code if we were getting back past 11 pm, but that wasn't the case. There was no phone number to contact reception and the wifi password wasn't available from the room.
Review 17:The room was clean, it was well located, and the quality-price deal was great.
Review 18:Lack of isolation and quietness. You could hear everything your neighbour was saying. Thus, no privacy is a constant. On the other hand, the toilet was stinking, and you could easily guess it was a sewage problem. To sum up, it is not comfortable, which means that it was too expensive for the comfort provided.
Review 19:The staff is really good and they would do anything to make you feel comfortable.
Review 20:The staff don't speak any language but french, even the manager! They messed up our booking, they refused to look for solution theywanted us to fix it (call Booking.com). That is not a customer friendlystaff. The parking is ridiculous (there is no free space on the streets, you need to go to the underground parking for a price of course).
Review 21:Leaving that "hotel"
Review 22:The shower in the bathroom did not work properly , it was pouring water all over the place and not much on me. Only one light bulb working in the bathroom and it smelt very damp and musty.
Review 23:A good sleep in clean white bed linen and clean white towels.
Review 24:No usable wi-fi at the last floor (we could not log in, on phone or laptop) Music on speakers on the corridor (we had to ask every evening at the reception to have it turned off)
Review 25:Excellent price Excellent location, close to the train station - but quiet Plenty of restaurants around Clean and comfy A desk in the room to work on your laptop
Review 26:Overall good but finishing touches a little neglected in the en suite
Review 27:Staff were brilliant and even accommodated 2 cycles in a secure area whilst we went shopping
Review 28:wi-fi didn't work, we asked if we could check in at 9am as our ferry docked at 8 and they replied yes for an extra charge but to our surprise there was no room ready for us when we arrived. Very disappointed. Plus they don't speak English. Dust in the room. Toilet has no ventilation so can smell drainage in room. Only sleep here for one night nothing more.
Review 29:the bed was comfortable for sleep
Review 30:dirt, no lift, seemed an apartment for refugees, broken windows, bathroom with mold and not clean, the shower is falling apart, no one speaks English, customers were smoking in the rooms, encrusted bathroom aerator filters.
Review 31:Nothing
Review 32:Non-English speaking staff. Intercom code was not working sometimes. Wi-fi didn't work.
Review 33:Shower was nice Clean room, comfortable bed. Close to railway station and tramway line.
Review 34:WiFi did not work, the room we stayed in was quite run down, the surrounding area does not feel safe at night.
Review 35:Relatively clean, good price, can walk downtown.
Review 36:You cannot check in after midnight. The sheets were not clean, glass inthe bathroom was dirty, something dark came out of the soapdispenser. Our room was right next to the reception and phone went off in themiddle of the night, disturbing our sleep.**DO NOT ORDER THE BREAKFAST ** We paid €6,50 per person for breakfast and we got nothing, only very small buns with jam and a cup of coffee or tea. No buffet or anything and no choices for what you put on your bread. Find somewhere else to eat breakfast.
Review 37:Friendly staff, nice location if you're just staying one night, passing through.
Review 38:No parking. No elevator. Wi-Fi is very bad. Bathroom was a disaster - stinks, drainage in the shower does not work, water was flooding. We found male's underware in a bathroom. Breakfast very poor. Maid, who came to clean our room after we will leave, was very rude. Nobody speaks English. Would not come back there again.
Review 39:Lady at the reception was nice
Review 40:The room we gad was in need of repair. The window could not be shut. The Venetian blind was broken in a couple of places, possibly the result of a previous visit by a family with a dog. The shower was not welcoming.
Review 41:The Hotel was easy to find. The free Wi-fi was excellent. Our dog was made welcome as we were. Breakfast was reasonable and our dog was able to accompany us.
Review 42:No English at all, area doesnt look safe
Review 43:Clean and comfortable room
Review 44:very small rooms very bad layout for room. no enough breakfast
Review 45:Clean
Review 46:they speak no english
Review 47:Specific smell, weak wifi, no breakfast available at 07:00 on Saturday.
Review 48:Room cost is good, but would recommend only for short stay.
Review 49:The room was dirty and smelled of disinfectant. The bathroom was a disgrace and the wifi didn't work.
Review 50:The location is good.
Review 51:the room was o.k., the location was a bit less. The moment I stepped out of the car around 23:30 a guy was asking me for money, when I refused as politely as possible he made a remark about how nice my (14 year old convertible) car was, but also very vulnerable. When I went back five minutes later to get my bags, a young kid on a bike did something simular. I could watch my car from the room though and nothing happened. There is a good late night restaurant around the corner which suited me fine as I hadn't eaten yet.
Review 52:good value for money, good bed and shower, clean. Nice staff.
Review 53:No wireless in rooms and sometimes not even in the reception. And no English at all! Also you have the feeling that you cant breath since everything is so tiny in the hallways!
Review 54:Afordable price and very close to the train statuin.
Review 55:Small room and bad bathroom . No elevator and save box in rooms and the city is very bad and without any activity . Better to visit Rouen and it is far 1 hour from Paris
Review 56:Only location and price Only the wether in Le Haver is amazing
Review 57:The area was a bit dodgy and the room was tiny and the bathroom way too small! Not that comfortable but met our needs.
Review 58:Price for a 1 night stay. We only needed a bed for the night and it was clean and servicable.
Review 59:Tiniest bathroom I have ever seen. Possibly made for midgets.
Review 60:Only needed it for one night and it was right by the train station so it saved me some money.
Review 61:Far from the beach, but there's a tram in front of the hotel that you can take. In the morning, the front rooms are a little bit noisy because of the tram. Nothing that makes do not return.
Review 62:Good hotel, very good value for money. Staff very nice. Near from the train station. Recommend it.
Review 63:My only "complaint" is that there was a bit of noise; however, my room was located in the main hallway adjacent to the front desk (accueil), so it makes sense. Also, I had cracked my windows open and could hear outside sounds (street noise, seagulls, etc.), but once closed it was fine.
Review 64:The people who own and work at the hotel were very helpful with directions and suggestions. The location is perfect and easy to find, less than 5 minutes away walking from the train station, tram stop, and bus hub. That being said, it did not take much time to walk to most places within Le Havre. The bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom was very clean and not too small, and they do have heating as well. Very flexible check-in hours and check-out was simple as well.
Review 65:Very good hotel for young lovers. Lovely decoration and warm atmosphere. I would like to recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to spend a night at Le Havre.
Review 66:There was no hanging space in the room not even one hook to hang a coat. We stayed four days and room was not cleaned and no clean towels during that time.
Review 67:The staff were friendly. The hotel was clean. Okay for a one night stay in our particular room.
Review 68:Poor security especially given the location - don't keep valuables in the room
Review 69:Very essential but kept its word. Staff were friendly and willing to help.
Review 70:The rooms was extra small (N5) and the bed sheets were full of hairs.
Review 71:Staff was very friendly and although they didn't speak a word of English, they managed to explain everything...
Review 72:The proprietor and his family were extremely nice. I spoke in French, soI don't know how their English was. Our room was small butcomfortable, with a nice, clean bathroom. Easy to walk most placeswithin Le Havre
Review 73:Worst hotel we have booked in France, horrible smell in the bathroom and strange smell in the corridor, noices from everwhere, you could literally hear every word of the neighbours. Very small room, humid, no chairs. Even 49 Euro was a bit too much.
Review 74:Funny shower with uncomfortable floor. Good, free parking on Sunday. Le Havre looks a bit like Eastern European cities, broad lanes, very structured, better than we expected. Good starting point to visit Etretat, Honfleurs, Deauville, etc.
Review 75:They are doing a renovation, and the central areas are not yet fixed up, but mostly it was a very pleasant, affordable stay in a clean hotel.
Review 76:Our hosts were very kind, and breakfast was a good bargain with an endless supply of juice, coffee and croissants. The rooms were recently renovated, and very clean. The location is a short hop from the train station in Le Havre so good for an overnight, and it is right on the tram line. Very easy to get downtown where there are ample restaurants. It was overall a very pleasant stay. The family who ran the hotel was extremely kind and helpful.
Review 77:The hotel is excellent value - the rooms were very nice, modern and comfortable. It was easy to find and right in the centre on a quiet street. The owners were incredibly nice and helpful and they made our stay.
Review 78:Bad working wifi
Review 79:Very snugly hotel and caring personnel. We readily come back again.
Review 80:Very helpful staff
Review 81:lack of ventilation had to open balcony door and street noise quite intrusive.
Review 82:Handy for ferry terminal
Review 83:cramped
Review 84:price, location.
Review 85:Friendly staff and cleanliness of all areas including room
Review 86:Fair amount of street noise, rooms very compact
Review 87:Central location, handy for station, friendly staff
Review 88:The wifi can hardly be connected!
Review 89:Not clean enough.
Review 90:Good price. Comfy bed. Nice and quiet.
