Reviews for Hôtel Le Michelet

Review 1:The Hotel was quite a walk from the centre of the town. The rooms were small and suitable for an overnight stay rather than a short term visit to Gap

Review 2:The location was easy to find and quiet at night. Car parking was in a public area across the road that was crowded when we arrived but cleared out after knock off time. Breakfast was good.

Review 3:The very rude and impolite personnel, and the tiny cramped bathroom

Review 4:The hotel is right in front of the train station, which is very convenient since I had a 6 hour trip. Upon arrival you are greeted with a very young French only speaker.so after some struggling to overcome the language barrier, I finally received my room card with the proper instructions as to the do"so and don'ts.the hotel is part of a resort which includes :restaurant, hotel, and apartments. To enter the hotel you must go through an almost completely dark hallway. At this point I should mention that I have limited vision,a fact which I mentioned when I checked in.so after struggling to locate my room ;in this very dark hallway,I scanned my room card to open the door.after I entered I noticed that the door did not completely close. Only after I pushed it did it shut. The room itself was spacious with a large bed,a closet,a small writing table, a large Window, a small heater.it all seemed perfect until I entered the bathroom. In a very small space, they shoved,a very small shower, a tiny toilet, and a small sink.when I had to releive myself, I had to stoop down, and to make matters worse, right in front of me there was a wall.so after unpacking I went out to eat. Upon my return, the hallway was completely dark.at this point I was fuming, after I mentioned this to the receptionist. She insults me by saying that I hadn't paid for my breakfast (breakfast cost an extra 7 euros per day).so she calls me a liar to my face, and doesn't even bother to turn the hallway lights on.the personnel is very rude and unprofessional.

Review 5:Very early refuse collection and street cleaning but that is hardly the hotel's fault!

Review 6:Helpful friendly staff, comfy beds, nice bathroom & idiosyncratic décor. Excellent location right by the station and tasty breakfast.

Review 7:Diner and breakfast room was full of flies! Old tacky decor in the diner and breakfast room, although the bedroom itself was fine.

Review 8:Central to main roadways into the Alps

Review 9:Close to centre of town

Review 10:Friendly helpful staff. They made space for our two motorcycles in the garage.

Review 11:No air conditioning

Review 12:Great location

Review 13:It fulfilled all our needs and more. The staff were very friendly, going the extra mile for us.

Review 14:Comfortable hotel with good breakfast, located next to the railway station. Five minutes walk to the historic town centre.

Review 15:Bathroom was a bit shabby

Review 16:Easy to park close to the hotel

Review 17:No complaints.

Review 18:The staff were friendly and efficient. Proximity to the train station is a real plus. Its "Chez Fred" snack bar has an attractive 1950s Americana decor and acceptable fast food and bar, and seems popular.

Review 19:Staff is very very helpfull and we can manage easily any request or change... Room is clean and great deco too. Not very old and even small place accessible to the room with 2 chair outdoor of the main windows. Great place

Review 20:poor value for money. I have stayed at much more comfortable hotels with better facilities for 70% of the price. Tap in bathroom not working properly (too much strength needed for the flow to stop). Did not complain since I was staying for one night only through.

Review 21:wifi ok, flat screen tv, bed

Review 22:Excellent location. Despite being next to the railway station and a busy bar, the room was very quiet. Good location for a twenty minute walk in to a very nice town. Excellent for a one-night stop over.

Review 23:The only extra we would have liked, would have been a small rubber plug for the bath and hand basin.

Review 24:Everything was terrific - friendly, helpful, courteous And comfortable. Chez Fred great for a nice , quick snack.

Review 25:Decor was a bit "in your face" but comfortable nonetheless.

Review 26:Noisy, our room had no bedside tables, just holes in the wall.

Review 27:Price, free wifi, free parking.

Review 28:Bathroom in need of renovation - but already announced.

Review 29:Quiet place next to the railway station. Friendly and helpful staff.
