Review 1：This was the 2nd time we've been over the Halloween period and found that the atmosphere was a bit flat - last time there were characters and monsters milling around and entertainers singing etc. Felt like Portaventura had had it's budget cut..We paid 25 euros each for an evening meal (12 for the children) and it was terrible - little choice, not tasty and not hot. Breakfast was much better, but tepid too.

Review 2：Did hotel roulette and ended up staying at the Hotel Gold River. Checking in was quick and efficient. Rooms were very nice as expected for a 4 star hotel. Superb location - ideal after a long day of Fun! Fantastic rides!

Review 5：Absolutely, absolutely awful, irresponsible, not planned system ofgetting to the hotel through the park and outrageously cold-bloodedindifference of the personnel of the Park and Hotel! The most awful andunpleasant attitude I have ever met and place I have ever visited! Wearrived by shattle touristic bus to the Park Parking, not to theentrance of the Hotel. Since 11 A.M. till 13-30 under the sizzling sunwith 2 teenagers and 5 heavy and big suitcases we were forcing thisfortress. Nobody could help us! We received no instructions how to getto the Hotel in our booking confirmation email. As it turned out atarrival to get to the Hotel you need to pass the Park territory, to passthe Park territory - you need a ticket and the ticket is at the Hotelcheck in desk - vicious circle. We were running from one to anotherticket offices, to the entrance of Park itself, to security oficers, toother employee of the park, showing our printed booking and asking forhelp. Some of them did not know anything, others - send us to ahuuuuuuuuuge line at Guest Relations desk. In this line people changeddifferen discount coupons, internet tickets and etc... We just wanted topass through to get to the Hotel!!! We called to the Hotel directly, butthere was no free person to take us from the entrance, but told us wecan go directly to the Guest relations window without standing in theline!!!! A Russian-speaking manager at Guest relations listened to usand rudely said we must stand in this line!!!! We even tried to get tothe Hotel from the Parking (about 2 km) on foot with all the bagadge!But due to the construction of new part of the Park, security did notlet us pass the way we went almost at the very Hotel entrance. We had tocrawl 2 km back under the heat. We returned to this line in gr, stoodthere for about 40 minutes....

Review 7：It is 4 star hotel which has lost a one star somewhere. Beds were very unconfortable. During two days staying there elevator was out of order most of the time. The safe in a room was out of order. Internet connection in room was really bad.... A bit too shabby place for 4 star hotel. Tiny walls, we heard neighours having sex in next room.

Review 13：Busplana transfer.... Pre-booked and paid for transferse from airport to hotel and back. Driver stopped in Salou and pointed in general direction of Portaventura (we walked) Wasn't sure where we were to wait for return journey so asked reception to phone Busplana to check. We were assured we'd be collected from outside our hotel (gold river) at time stated on booking slip. No bus arrived. Hotel kindly rushed us to station from where we had 2 train journey to Airport. Arrived 2 mins before gate closed. Very stressful!! Don't use this company.

Review 14：Everything! Very impressed with the whole thing place. Glad we were allocated Gold River, thought the wild west theme was really well done. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back

Review 18：Excellent for visiting Port Aventura. At the late evening queues are not so big so you can ride all the rides without waiting for hours. Nice breakfast included in price of room.

Review 19：When we first arrived we were allocated a cabin which was situated away from the hotel. On arrival we found it very dark with a smell of damp. On opening a door(which I wrongly presumed was a wardrobe) we found that we could access the neighbouring cabin which actually was occupied!! After returning to reception and voicing our concerns we were given a room in the hotel which was perfect apart from looking out onto a building site. This didn't bother us as we were only there for three days so weren't in our room other than to sleep.

Review 20：My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for three nights and found everything about it first class. The staff were friendly and efficient,the rooms were clean and spacious. We had breakfast only but the choice was amazing and plentiful. The location couldn't have been better,we were literally inside the park and if we wanted to stay by the pool there were three to choose from. Highly recommended!

Review 21：The reception is very slow,and you have to wait a lot even for a simple question. Bring pool towels from home! The deposit is 15!!€ for each towel The noise caused by the park attractions might disturb sleeping We had 2 connected rooms,one had ants (despite being cleaned) The room has a kitchenette with stove and microwave but no dishes! Not even a glass Food around the park and hotel is very expensive .no alternatives, the town is approx. 20 min. Away You can prebook a shuttle to the hotel from the airport, around 15€ Per person. It's a 2 hrs. drive before adding more than 40 minutes picking up time (it collects people from various places, not only the resort.

Review 22：We stayed at the Gold River hotel. The hotel is beautiful a very well kept. Apart for some dust it was perfectly clean. The breakfast was rich and tasty. The free entrance pass to the park was very convenient. The hotel has A direct entrance to the wild west zone of the park -less than 5 minutes walking. Great pools. There are special public showers for the use of checking out guests including soap and towels

We stayed in Hotel Caribe which, although not incorporated with it, is very close to the park - gives you a chance to spend all the time you want there. Review 33：One thing I cannot let go is how horrible the rooms were. If I was paying for a 2-star hotel this would be ok, however this was not cheap and it was the WORST room I've ever slept in, in my adult life.... And I've traveled the world. - rooms needed major updating - mold was detected everywhere in the bathroom - pillows were stained and tried to be covered up by linens - our son's comforter was stained with what looked like a bloody/snot mixture - the bed was beyond uncomfortable-hard and springs poking you in the back! - the frig in the room was not working and stained/broken shelves - the floorboards where dirty and stained with brown splash marks .... I can go on and on.... Long story short- no matter how nice the pools and other facilities are- where you lay your head to sleep is more important!! Hard to enjoy a vacation when you're grossed out in the place where you rest/sleep.
