Reviews for Hotel Triskel

Review 1:Lovely authentic Spanish property -we stayed in Jardin room which was large with a good sized bathroom and our own secret garden. Very friendly bar with great atmosphere. Shy looked after us very well and nothing was too much trouble.

Review 2:I think if you came in the season parking would be a serious problem but it wasn't in December. It would have been nice if each room had a kettle to boil water rather than one in the hall on each floor. Breakfast was in another cafe a few minutes walk away, not really an issue but some people might prefer that breakfast was in the hotel itself.

Review 3:We had a really nice room with a small (almost) private courtyard (overlooked by the room above). Staff were very friendly and we had a free welcome drink. Very centrally located in the Old Town 10 seconds from the indoor market where there were some good coffee stalls.

Review 4:Shy is an excellent hostess. We experienced a memorable stay in a beautiful hotel. Ignore the star rating, if the hotel had a restaurant it would be a 5 star hotel. There are however excellent restaurants within walking distance. We will not stay anywhere else when in Javea

Review 5:This traditional five bedroomed hotel was in the middle of the old town of Javea, a lovely place. It was run by Shy, a young lady whose hospitality was wonderful. Locating it was a little difficult and parking was down the road. Breakfast was served in a local cafe which was used by local people so a great place to people watch.

Review 6:No bad experience, but would have liked water and the kettle in the room as opposed to on the landing

Review 7:Perfect location in the old town Stylish bedroom and bathroom, in keeping with the Casa Antigua Loved the bar, the style, the superb gin and tonics

Review 8:The new solar water heater wasn't working properly because it was cloudy. No big deal.

Review 9:Shy, our proprietress was warm, welcoming and very helpful. The hotel has only 5 rooms and is very quaint but comfy. It looks old and rustic but has good AC & an elevator. We loved it.

Review 10:Nothing. Everything was perfect

Review 11:Absolutely fantastic host. Could not do enough for us. Even got in our car to take us to the car park at nearly midnight. Rooms were spotless. Free wifi and water. An absolute gem and goes in our top 3 hotels we have visited across the med.

Review 12:We had a room on the third floor under the roof with two small windows for 90 euros, no breakfast. The hostel was empty, why not give us a better room ? For this room 90 euros is to much in this period.

Review 13:Location in the old centre, friendly personel

Review 14:Liked everything!

Review 15:Owner and bar manager excellent...nothing was too much trouble...perfect! Fabulous bedroom and bathroom and super entertainment on Friday night with Spanish guitarist.

Review 16:On first sight the location seems extremely difficult to reach as it is rihgt inthe middle of historic town centre, but a public car park is 5 minutes away by foot and offers a very nice parking solution.

Review 17:Always helpful with anything we needed or wanted to know. Relaxed rustic style, very comfortable, we had a very enjoyable week and would definatly recommend

Review 18:The bed was a bit hard for my taste (but not uncomfortable); I wouldhave liked 2 pillows each (to be fair, I didn't ask, I'm sureI would have been accommodated), and perfection would have been alarger bed.

Review 19:The owner of this property is superb. She is fun, friendly, works very, very hard and will go out of her way to help you in any way she can. Herhotel bar is a lovely spot for an evening drink. The rooms are clean andspacious - don't think 2 star = bad quality. I always stay in 4-5star, but as this was last minute during the holiday season, the Paradorwas booked up. I am glad - I would not have found this otherwise, and Iwill stay here again for my next visit. I chose Triskel for the Old Townexperience and it was fantastic.

Review 20:Just returned from a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Triskel. Great location in the heart of the 'old town', very pleasant staff and a super room with a private garden terrace. Peaceful accommodation despite being there during Festival week!

Review 21:The hosts were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Boasted they made the best gin and tonics in Javea ~ and they were right !!, enjoyed a different one every night with a lovely home made tapa. Free bottles of water always available just outside your room. Difinitely more 4 star than 2 star.

Review 22:Nothing, suggestions on changing TV system so that English can be heard on channels where appropriate - this was being planned.

Review 23:Everything, decor, cleanliness and comfort excellant

Review 24:Nothing. Everything was top.

Review 25:The owners are very helpful and are willing to cater to personal needs and the finishing of the rooms and everything else is top quality and warm.

Review 26:I guess having breakfast at a nearby cafe could be a pain if it was raining? But how often does the weather turn wet? Yes, hardly ever. Great cafe as well.

Review 27:Love the original fittings in the room, lovely touches of originality made our stay a lovely experience. Location for the old town couldn't be better, lovely staff and very reasonable bar prices added to the charm of this small hotel. A smashing find in Javea. If the Holiday Inn type of hotel isn't you, this could be ideal, really happy with the overall experience. Well done, excellent value for money.

Review 28:Facilities are really good and it has a great bar. Staff are very helpful and the location is superb. Quiet location but close to many restaurants and tapas bars

Review 29:Nothing. But be sure to contact the owners before you arrive so that they are there to welcome you, and also get precise instructions how to find it; it is among narrow streets in the same street as the market. Town parking is difficult, so I would recommend you take advantage of the owner's offer of parking - convenient and cheap.

Review 30:Everything. The two owners were super-friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel, which is two converted town houses, has a lovely location in the attractive old town of Javea, with bars, restaurants, the market and the tourist office 100m away. Our room was large and comfortable and beautifully furnished. Nice bathroom. Tea and coffee making facility outside the door. The downstairs bar is cosy and cheerful.

Review 31:Very minor things :- two chairs in the bedroom. So that you don't have to sit on the bed to read. If we could have we would have given it Eleven out of Ten.

Review 32:More or less everything the position in the old town was excellent. The hotel itself was STYLISH and the two ladies who ran it were wonderful. Our room was huge and nicely furnished. The bar was very good and reasonable.

Review 33:The atmosphere, decoration, location and staff. Relaxed with a great bar and social area. Try the Gin and Tonic selection it puts a Gin and Tonic in to a whole new world. Lot's of steps so not for the infirm and maybe not for small children's interests with it not being near the beach areas. The location in the old town is right next to the historic church but no bells in the mornings, plenty of bars, restaurants and places to explore.

Review 34:The entrance was directly on a busy road in the old town, with no pavement. You have to step into the doorway to avoid the passing traffic.

Review 35:The hosts were wonderfully helpful and informative, and great company! The room was beautiful and very spacious, and the position was perfect, in the heart of the old town.

Review 36:Nothing

Review 37:The location of the hotel was great. The owners were welcoming and helpful but not in your face. The room was lovely - spacious, clean and comfortable. The price was great value for the quality of hotel - Could not fault our stay there - just what we wanted. We also really enjoyed being in the old town which felt less touristy than the beach area which is a short walk away.

Review 38:The church bells on Sunday morning at 7am .... But not the hotels fault

Review 39:Such a little gem

Review 40:SUCH a nice welcoming and stay: this hotel is more than a hotel, it has its own soul. Definitely one of the elements that made our week-end awesome.

Review 41:Great location, excellent host.

Review 42:The staff

Review 43:The owner was amazing! She took care of all of our needs and made us feel very special!

Review 44:Everything spot on,

Review 45:Excellent staff, lovely hotel, great location,

Review 46:Nothing.

Review 47:The hotel is lovely and clean. The owners are fantastic, very lovely. The village has lots of lovely restaurants to eat at.

Review 48:Conveniently situated in Javea village, beautifully clean, with a ginormous bed, tea and coffee facilities and bottled water, what more do you need?

Review 49:No remarks!

Review 50:Friendly atmosphere, nicely renovated old townhouse and excellent location!

Review 51:Coffee/tea making facility in the hall not in the room.

Review 52:The location.

Review 53:parking

Review 54:very tastefully decorated

Review 55:Everything

Review 56:Wifi occasionally dropped, but only for a short time.

Review 57:My husband and I really enjoyed being in the heart of the old town. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. They gave us excellent suggestions for local restaurants and made sure that our parking arrangements were confirmed. We would definitely recommend the Hotel Triskel.

Review 58:Breakfast was off site and very poor. A coffee and croissant only on offer.

Review 59:Nice part of the old town. Located for what we wanted. The ladies who ran the place were very friendly and helpful. Spoke good english.

Review 60:coming home!!!!!

Review 61:the location of this hotel in the old town was ideal with many restraunts and bars within easy walking distance, and the beachfront nearby, it gave us two holidays in one, the hotel was all i had hoped for and more, and the owners made us so welcolme, will definatly be re- booking for another stay, later in the year

Review 62:Excellent location in the old town. Bars and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. Owners very helpful and friendly. Parking available nearby for a good price. Delightful bar with speciality gin and tonic. We strongly recommend this little hotel.

Review 63:hard to find this hotel.asked plenty of people.they did not know! no extras for high cost of accomadation

Review 64:when you find hotel the position in the old town is very good.

Review 65:There is a bell nearby that makes some sound a few times a day, but honestly you can get used to it very quickly and it'll just add to the charm of the place.

Review 66:The rooms are 5-stars like, with an antique design, the location is great, many cafeterias and restaurants nearby. Finally, it's a home run business, so the staff is just so friendly. We really loved it and it deserves the best rating possible.

Review 67:I do extensive research before I book a hotel, based on what I discovered at Hotel Triskel it met with all that I expected and more. The location in the centre of the old town was ideal, we were lucky to have been allocated the Jardin room with its quaint court yard. The bar adjacent which is also part of the hotel serves the most varied selection of beers and special gin and tonics. The owners were so helpfull and made our stay so special. Please ignore any other poor reviews they must have been put there by a grumpy competitor!! Do not hesitate to book Hotel Triskel

Review 68:Dirty floors, Cold room, Cushion covers dirty, no bath plug, small towels, was only like a hostel but 5 star hotel prices. We moved to the Javea Paradores for a little more cost per night and this hotel was fabulous!

Review 69:We love Javea so location was great,

Review 70:We didn't like the fact that we had to leave...

Review 71:Basically everything... We were supposed to stay only the one night butbecause of the beautiful Javea and the beautiful hotel run from suchbeautiful people, we decided to stay one more night... We will be backfor sure...our best stay in Spain. They revived our faith in thespaniards going above and beyond calling ahead to make dinnerreservations, looking at maps and obtaining directions, next destinationsuggestions and even calling the next hotel to get us the localrate...... Nothing but love for triskel (plus in the bar attached whichis owned and operated by the same fabulous couple and convenientlylocated downstairs....... Try one of the specialty Gin tonics they haveon offer..... You won't be disappointed!).Stay here if you are ever lucky enough to visit Javea!

Review 72:bed could have been a bit softer but for Spanish standard it is a very good bed.

Review 73:Very helpful owner. Thanks, Uchi! A beautifully designed hotel in the centre of the historic town. Large and clean room and bathroom. Great parking close to the hotel. Nice bar.

Review 74:Seems unfair but only little niggles:- No tea/coffee making facilities in the room; we had to drink wine (OK & water) instead!! But once you know, it's not a problem. Same re breakfast: It's served in nearby nicely placed bar/cafe. For such a luxury hotel I had expected more than the offered tea/coffee, orange juice and just 1 slice of toasted baguette OR croissant (all very nice)for my B&B rate. But again; once I knew it was a continental breakfast, it wasn't a problem (extras weren't expensive anyway), so thought I'd raise it just to make others aware.

Review 75:The location, the atmosphere of the building, the style of the room - we stayed in Rocas -the size of the bed, the helpful owners, the bar (amazing!).

Review 76:Hotel in need of some renovations / refresh. Staff is not easily available (bar is open only in the evening). Wi-fi not available in the rooms (on the 3rd floor).

Review 77:Wonderful location. Beautiful building in the historic center of Javea.

Review 78:The church bell ringing 24 hours a day 4 times an hour plus call to Mass twice each morning. Sheer hell all through the night

Review 79:We loved the hotel and its old world charm very Spanish and friendly

Review 80:Great place in a great neighborhood - recommend 100%

Review 81:This is VERY good hotel for no-nonsence tourists! Great location in the center of the old part of Xabia! Very friendly stuff! very clean and cosy.

Review 82:Cold and the church bells can drive you insane

Review 83:Staff and atmosphere

Review 84:Having to leave the room and go to a cafe to get a coffee.

Review 85:Staff and rooms were delightful.

Review 86:Location, just in the middle of the old town Taste of the Hotel Quite

The Fine Print
