Reviews for Hotel Los Templarios
Review 1:Loud, as some guest came in very late and with a lot of noise.
Review 2:Hotel centrally located and in the old town. Only a short walk to the church, square and templer castle.
Review 3:Poor service and isolated and view less room given. Were the receptionist to give customers half of the attention and empathy she gave her little puppy, the place would do much better
Review 4:Good location.
Review 5:Wifi signal in the bedroom was very weak and by late evening was virtually non existent. Breakfast a little disappointing.
Review 6:Good central location with restaurant facilities. Very clean and comfortable with first class shower.
Review 7:I watched a soccer match on TV and the wrong team won!
Review 8:It was a fine hotel at a great price. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was clean and had a good bathroom. It is located between two large plazas near the castle and the basilica. We hated to leave but the Camino beckoned us on.
Review 9:As I missed my connecting flight from London to Madrid I was unable to arrive on day of my reservation. Luis was fantastic and moved my reservation to the next day. I'm forever grateful and plan to stay at Los Templarios my next trip to Ponferrada.
Review 10:No view - I saw other rooms windows. Awful-awful-awful WiFi. Didn't work in that room at all (2nd floor one of the last rooms in there). I don't recommend this place, even though there are nice things also, and I think mostly because of the check-in-guy who looked like he really doesn't care at all about the business, about customers, about the job, about everything. You have to ask every question yourself, he won't even try. And that ruined it for me. Because of above mentioned reasons, I don't think the staying was worth the money.
Review 11:I had two beds, bathroom, big closet, table and chair - you don't need more actually. Good location - Camino path out from Ponferrada starts right next to it. Castle is near. My room (during my one-day-stay in June) was very quiet. Morning when I checked out, there was one very nice lady who gave me breakfast and teached me to order coffee the way I want it in Spanish.
Review 12:We were told that breakfast was included with the price of the room. We ordered eggs and were charged for this with no price adjustment for the breakfast we were supposed to receive.
Review 13:Convenient location. Clean hotel, comfortable bed and a break from the albergues along the Camino, but no real personality or friendly staff. Staff was not unpleasant, just very detached.
Review 14:We stayed on a Friday night on the first floor. The noise and smoke from the downstairs bar and restaurant were quite bothersome till about 3 am. We had window open.
Review 15:We liked the location.
Review 16:Right in the heart of the old city, a few steps from the ancient attractions. Make the time to visit the Museum del Bierzo displaying wonderful artifacts, paintings, and a must see video. Our room was clean & comfortable and hotel offered the Pilgrim meal.
Review 17:Reception staff didn't speak English We had breakfast included but they charged 50 cents on our bill for butter and jam because we had the tortilla with bread instead of toast. Not a big picture approach
Review 18:Very close to Templar castle and el camino Room was clean quiet and comfortable Allowed is to hang around in lounge after checkout for a couple hours till we went to catch a train
Review 19:There was an awkward lock - if you wanted to lock the door you had to do it in the dark as the light key was attached.
Review 20:Location! Basic room but it was fine.
Review 21:Our room was on the passage and next door was a bell going every 15 minutes Also a big party area with narrow passages so not the place to stay if you want quiet at 3am :-) Very expensive! But may have been due to the world champs.
Review 22:Walking distance from metro, but note there is a steep climb Friendly and helpful staff but minimal English
Review 23:Finding it. This is the old city, and traffic has to make way for the walking areas, where this hotel is located. However, we got good parking very close and underground. It worked out very well. You get a cheap rate to park from the hotel.
Review 24:The appointments of the room and entire hotel were very nice. You can walk to the Templar castle and other central parts of the old city, which is very interesting. Many restaurants and cafes just steps away, we liked that. I slept really well here. We booked two nights but stayed 4.
Review 25:Good central location.

Review 55:love the location, very clean, friendly staff
Review 56:Very noisy from nearby revellers until well into the early hours
Review 57:Central location, helpful staff, very clean
Review 58:Restaurant featured very good unusual dishes.
Review 59:The front desk staff were not overly helpful although the morning attendant was much more pleasant. We could only get wifii in the cafeteria and lobby. No signal on second floor or room
Review 60:Location was good for camino Trekkers and the price was reasonable
Review 61:The TV was old and had a digital box, the sound kept fading, unless I banged the side of the TV, however, the care and quality of service more than compensated for this minor problem.
Review 62:The place was really clean and the staff were kind and helpful. It is very central to the old part of town, near to my son's home, so extra useful for me.
Review 63:There was a room key card for the lights in the room, stick an extra gift card in there to keep the outlets going in the day to charge accessories. The rooms were small too
Review 64:Prime location, comfy beds and super clean
Review 65:While the name and the location evoque Middle Age, the hotel does not offer the "stilish accomodation" mentionned in the presentation. The room was essential (nearly poor) as well as the staff attention. The breakfast (included in my reservation for 4 extra €) was not a buffet, but served at the bar (where it would cost less than 4€!).
Review 66:Perfect location, in the hearth of the beautiful city centre.
Review 67:I restarted the Camino de Santiago in Ponferrada. I stayed at this hotel on the night before the walk. Needed a good sleep .Had a meal at the hotel which was tasty and prepared me for the camino. Desmond

Review 79:Poor receptionist. Lacked warmth and empathy.
Review 80:Well located. Good clean rooms and facilities 'though small.
