Reviews for Pensión Carlos V

Review 1:Bathroom was not part of the room which when i booked, the room i booked implied the bathroom was within the room. Also the shower head wasn't attached to the wall which made showering slightly difficult.

Review 2:Rooms where nice, Staff i encountered where very friendly. Location was perfect, close to old town and not too far from the popular night time tapas bars.

Review 3:Bobble sheets in the bed, clearly seen better days.

Review 4:This pension chief not be more convenient with the paca de constiucion left of the front door and the estacion de autbus to the right. This had great coach links to Granada and Malaga.

Review 5:The room was very small. The building wasn't sound proof. Quite expensive compared to what you got.

Review 6:The bathroom was clean even if it was many people that used it. Close to the bus station and the city centre.

Review 7:The location was great! Right up the street from the bus station and a few minutes walk from the Cathedral. It's a decent place where you can throw you feet up and relax.

Review 8:Ultra small room No windows Warm water takes ages Uninspired 1-person staff Located in horrible crowded part of town (exhaust-fumes/screaming/etc.) Impossible to park car

Review 9:Bit tricky parking nearby

Review 10:Great location for early bus the next morning

Review 11:No complaints.

Review 12:Location, cleanliness, friendliness of the owner/staff, low price.

Review 13:room described as having own toilet but this is NOT the case. There is only one shared toilet/shower for all guests, some of whom left it in a messy and dirty state.

Review 14:basic but comfy

Review 15:Too many items listed on Booking.com for single rooms simply did not exist or match description, eg., ensuite toilet? (not in my room), shared bathroom with bath tub? (there was only a shower enclosed on only 3 sides so that twice during my short stay other guests flooded bathroom floor), terrace and patio? (where?), Alarm clock? (not in my room), 24 hour front desk and tour desk? (reception office always seemed to be unmanned and locked), Ironing? (that's news to me), similarly fax/photocopying. All areas non-smoking? (I wish that had been enforced as every morning bathroom and passageways stunk of cigarette smoke which seeped under my door). Air conditioning- did not work (maybe remote needed new battery),. Couldn't watch tv as set at wrong angle and nowhere to relax; no chair and vertical bars of metal bedhead so widely spaced that tiny, thin pillow repeatedly fell onto floor and, in any case, bedhead insecurely fixed at right angles to wall by small amount of screw thread which threatened to pull loose when I leaned on it. Only available electric point in room was high above sink where inconvenient (and unsafe) for use recharging cellphone, laptop, etc. The window looked out to concrete wall and one night when neighbouring guest had his light on all night it reflected back into my room through flimsy curtains and made sleep difficult. In conclusion, it was a very poorly planned room and I will definitely never stay at Pension Carlos V again.

Review 16:Convenient location and reassuring that could see bus station from front door. Modern bathroom, though shared with all other rooms. Hand basin in room.
