Reviews for Oscar Hôtel
Review 1:Trainee at reception coulnd't tell us where to park the car in the neighbourhood. Difficult to find parking lot. No information available abour cultural center next door. Internet connection unstable. Walls of the rooms are very thin, reason why tv is programmed at very low volume. Tiny washing basin in very small bathroom. A depressing experience.
Review 2:Very small room for our motorcyclist needs. Not enough room for us o spread to things around.
Review 3:Great location in Le Havre at Niemyer designed Volcano arts centre. A lot of restaurants around.
Review 4:Location was great, in town and walking distance to good restaurants, shops and the sea shore. The walls were a bit thin and the first room we had was small but we did not mind, such was the charm of the place.
Review 5:We are used to sleep with a window open. That was impossible because of the noise outside. Luckely we didn't get a headache.
Review 6:Excellent breakfast, very friendly and helpful owner (lady), excellent beds. I had a room with a bath which was very relaxing allthough it was a bit short.
Review 7:A bit noisy with window open. Directions from port were unnecessarily complicated. View from hotel at moment is building site-but probably not for long.
Review 8:Good position in centre of town. Very comfortable bed in a lovely room. Good welcome. Lots of parking fairly near hotel. Lots of places to eat nearby. Earplugs supplied!
Review 9:The Wi-Fi blocks outgoing emails (SMTP, even when encrypted with SSL) and also blocks VPN access. Only webmail works. A nuisance for leisure travellers, not acceptable for business travellers.
Review 10:The whole hotel is well preserved in the style of the fifties, when the surrounding town centre was rebuilt in modern concrete. We could see Oscar Niemeyer's Le Volcan from our room. Nice spacious room, spacious bathroom, very clean. Perfect location in the city centre, everything within walking distance.
