Reviews for Pensión Iberos
Review 1:This is a little gem! It is near bars and cafes where you can get breakfast and near the bus stop for transport up the hill into the town centre. it is spotlessly clean and very quiet. Ideal for the independent traveller.
Review 2:Friendly owner. I think he said he built some of the furniture and said something about barges but as I dont speak Spanish I am unsure.I was put in their other property in a quiet street behind the Pension. The main property opens on to a busy street so some rooms there may experience traffic noise but I am unsure. Use the MTS button on the tv remote to change some channels to English.Room was good and quiet and shower was fine in the shared bathroom. There is a Dia supermarket 2 mins walkaway but it is closed on a Sunday. There is a masymar one close by as well which sells hot bread(also closed on sunday).
Review 3:Apart from the shared bathroom, this place was nice enough to be a hotel. The rooms were serviced daily and the cleanliness of the rooms and the shared bathroom was upto a very high standard. The room I had was spacious and warm. The pension is located in a great place. It is a five minute walk to the train station and very close to the centre of town. Thank you to Pilar and Luis for a great stay.
Review 4:The only thing more that would have been nice would be a kettle and mug for making tea.
Review 5:Was a warm and comfortable room. It was cleaned everyday and new sheets and towels given each day. The staff were very friendly. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
Review 6:nothing
Review 7:our host was delightful and explained everything for us....in spanish! Free large bottle of water on arrival and extremely clean shared bathroom was next door to our room.We found parking in side street . Location was good as we drove about 5 mins to castle next day , parked halfway up and explored old town from there.
Review 8:Check in is not until 2pm (this is strict), it was a bit noisy being along the road at times
Review 9:Our room was great and huge with a nice couch, big table, and TV. Everything was super clean, including the shared bathroom. The staff was friendly. It is located within walking distance of most town and close to the train station. Nice place!
Review 10:The first room had no air conditioning tho the accomodation claims it and I had booked that. No breakfast vouchers given or explained, tho i had booked that. No one spoke English of the 3 people I spoke with but they do only claim to speak Spanish and Portugese. No discount was offered for having to move and not meeting requirements and my buying my own breakfast on the first day.
Review 11:The second room was better than the first. It was in the flat at no.14 whereas the flat at no. 18 was not as nice (for me). Both rooms were clean as were the bathrooms. In first room no bedside light, only the main one, and you had to get out of bed to switch it on and off but second room had bedside lamps as well as centre light.
Review 12:Nothing to dislike about the hostel. The hill climb up to the Cathedral, it wasn't steep just drawn out! But that's Jaen for you.
Review 13:Everything. Alex spoke fluent English and nothing was too much trouble for her!

Review 19:little far from old city part, not very convenient for tourism
Review 20:the pension is functional and clean
Review 21:The kindness of the landlady: since it was free, I was given a greater room. Moreover, the iron guests can use is their own one and very efficient.
Review 22:If we book again, we will book without breakfast, as the café a fewhouses down the road was ok, but not very good value for money
Review 23:= Parking in a side road opposite the hospital! We just paid €1.05 from= 6 until 8 pm, then it was free we took bus ride number 16 to cathedral= which we visited, very interesting! Walked to Arab baths which are the= best we have ever seen in Andalusia! Plus they are free. In the= morning, after checking out we visited the castle, also amazing the= staff were very friendly and helpful! Making us feel very welcome
Review 24:The owners were unfailingly friendly, helpful and courteous. The room was spotless and comfortable. The location is excellent, 5 mins from train station, in the central city area and walking distance to the university.
Review 25:Inadequate bedside lighting for reading.
Review 26:Friendly welcome and informative hosts. Comfortable and pleasantly decorated double bedroom. Good shower and bathroom.
Review 27:a bit basic
Review 28:the pension is actually converted flat on 6-th floor of an apartment block, unusual but does the job. lots of pubs and restaurants nearby, relatively close to the city center
Review 29:The owners at Pension Iberos are warm and generous, just like their accommodation. A real home away from home, this simple little apartment had everything we needed for an overnight stay.
