Reviews for Temple Ponferrada
Review 1:Nothing.
Review 2:This was a stop on the Camino approximately 1.5 km off the route. It was lovely, and I loved the conceit of the medieval affectations in the hotel. The staff were marvellous.
Review 3:nice place to stay ,reception very helpfull telling us about knight templer castle and outher places to visit. parked motorcycle outside hotel had dinner in hotel was very good. beds were comfortable not hard.
Review 4:The location was good with easy access to the town. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They spent a long time finding a garage for me to get my motorcycle tire changed.
Review 5:Hours the restaurant was open weren't very helpful as I like to eat early for dinner but that is a Spain thing.
Review 6:The hotel was a little off the beaten path but not inconvenient. Close to the train station and not noisy. The buffet breakfast was great.
Review 7:Dinner was limited menu.
Review 8:The theme was very well done (medieval), the staff were helpful and room was comfortable. Limited parking but we were able to find a parking space.
Review 9:The restaurant only offered tapas and platos combinados for the cena. This was very disappointing in a four star hotel.
Review 10:The friendliness and professionalism of the staff
Review 11:Can feel a little grand & daunting initially because of the antique furniture & decor but the staff are quite friendly.
Review 12:Spent 2 nights here & also stayed here last year. Great location on edge of town centre, interesting building full of old furniture. Limited parking outside but there may be more elsewhere. Very good Chinese buffet just across the roundabout.
Review 13:Shower wasted a lot of water. In the pictures it seems like the hotel has a terrace...It doesn't. These are from the suites. Cheap but not 4 stars.
Review 14:Bar was shut when we got back, but that was probably a good thing....
Review 15:I liked this hotel. Friendly bar staff, comfy bed, medieval themed - if you like that sort of thing! ;)
Review 16:Very very dark atmosphere. Not located where the sights are located. Staff seems disinterested. Breakfast is nothing more than toast and coffee
Review 17:Air conditioning
Review 18:Even though we asked for a quiet room, we got a room facing the main street, directly on top of the local pub ... on a Friday night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had to leave very early in the morning, hence - we could not take advantage of the breakfast we pre-booked through Booking.com. The staff was not offering a substitute or a packed breakfast to go - there was a flat, unfriendly "sorry can't do" attitude.
Review 19:The location was great, in walking distance to the train station and a short walk from the castle and old town.
Review 20:The Wi-Fi in the bedroom (3rd floor) didn't work very well, that was a nuisance since I had to work. But maybe in Spain the internet providers are as greedy as in some other European countries so I understand if the hotel can't do better for the moment.
Review 21:The location is great for a one day stay or a business related stay. It's just by the main street and a 10mn walk to the historical centre. The staff was very friendly and the cleanliness very reassuring.
Review 22:Everything about the hotel was excellent except -- coffee is not available until 7:30 am and they are seriously unwavering about having this be available sooner. Coffee should be available 24 hours a day and this can simply be provided for by having at coffee machine in the lobby - simple inexpensive investment.
Review 23:No free wifi. Breakfast was poor. Rooms were dark and a bit grubby.
Review 24:A themed hotel made a change, I liked it. Location was good. AC Managed to car park spot outside the front door.
Review 25:Breakfast was below standard. Nobody around to check which foods and drinks needed replenishing.
Review 26:Room
Review 27:Poor food options, poor lighting, poor value for money as room very spartan for the tariff.
Review 28:Lovely reception
Review 29:poor internet connection in hotel rooms, strange smell in rooms (maybe because it is an old building)

Review 48:needs a little care . breakfast ok
Review 49:old building . location price
Review 50:Noise all night, concert in park across from hotel, people going home from near by clubs, till 6am
Review 51:not a thing
Review 52:easy to find, the staff very helpful when the wi-fi wasn't working, good value for money - very easy parking
Review 53:Air conditioner only part working. Breakfast a bit basic.
Review 54:A comfortable hotel with all essential facilities, some of which are beginning to show their age. Decor reflecting military theme makes the place a bit dark, but not unpleasant. Some commentaries I've seen on Ponferrada are critical - unfairly in my view. It's not dirty, there's not too much grafitti; infact its quite a pleasant provincial city. Hotel is well situated close to the railway station and centre of town. For anyone that needs it there's a brilliant Laundrette in Avenida La Puebla (KWL-AQUA).
Review 55:Was rated as 4 star, is 2 star at best. Will forward pictures and details when we get home in a week or so. Our hotel in Leon booked through you was first class.
Review 56:Having to leave my bike in an unsecure garage where I found a flat tire in the morning even though it was fine in the evening.

Review 69:Medieval decoration
Review 70:Very poor air conditioning.
Review 71:Atmosphere in entrance hall area
Review 72:The staff was very rude and they did not go out of their way to be helpful.
Review 73:The location was good, however, the city itself is not very large.
