Reviews for Hôtel Le Patriarche

Review 1:We were quite disappointed in our stay here. The staff, who live on site, were less than welcoming, speak absolutely zero English, and didn't seem to mind the smoke detector in the main hallway beeping a low battery warning all night. The shared toilet was dirty our entire stay and out of tissue paper. There is "wifi" available but you can't connect because of the thick stone walls of this old farmhouse. We weren't able to access internet at all our entire stay. The bed and linens seemed clean and were moderately comfortable. Parking can also be a challenge in high season. If you aren't fluent in francais, don't stay here. They cannot help you at all.

Review 2:Leaving.

Review 3:It's time for a remodel and renew, guest today expect a bit more than yesterday's comforts. We had issues with cutting out Internet ...

Review 4:It's a quite place and the owner is very friendly and helpful. The gardens are lush and refreshing, the pool inviting.

Review 5:The room was VERY basic and could have done with a really good clean. Likewise the bathroom. The cover on the bed was badly stained although the sheets were clean. The toilet seat was broken and there was only one bin - in the bathroom - and that was broken too!!! The staff, when they were there, were not very helpful.

Review 6:The hotel was close to the railway station, river and local shops and cafes. And the parrot on the landing was very entertaining!!

Review 7:Lousy breakfast in a dark room.

Review 8:Great with the swimming pool.

Review 9:The pool was lovely

Review 10:No air con, therefore very hot

Review 11:Comfortable bed.

Review 12:The area, the staff, the garden and the song of the birds

Review 13:It was not clean. It was disorganized.

Review 14:It is close to the train station. It was quiet.

Review 15:Room and ensuite was very compact! Not much room to move. Only table fan to cool room. Felt like sardines packed into small rooms. Small plastic outdoor table and chairs shared between 2-3 family rooms. Could be made nicer.

Review 16:Nice pool. Good supply of towels. Short walk into Agde town. Buffet breakfast reasonable value but could be improved.

Review 17:None of the staff spoke a word of English. Supposedly double room very small and nowhere to put anything. Breakfast was mediocre. Swimming pool always closed during my four night stay. Quite noisy location due to factors outside hotel's control such as motor bikes, trains and dogs barking.

Review 18:Bed was very comfortable and sheets clean. Water was always hot. Very large garden with birds in aviary. Convenient for town centre.

Review 19:Quaint and rustic on first appearance soon turned to very tired and in need of tlc and refurbishment! The place wasn't particularly clean. The shower room had been tidied up and the shower was good but there was no ventilation and the bedroom and bathroom remained damp and musty with a soaking wet floor. The breakfast was poor.

Review 20:First impression was quaint and rustic. They were very dog friendly. The restaurant was nice with friendly service and good food for dinner. The garden was a little overgrown but was charming with lovely birds in an aviary.

Review 21:Small rooms, no air-conditioning, only a fan, leaky roofs, not fresh bread for brekfast and very shaky wifi only in the common outdoor area.

Review 22:Small but good pool.
