Review 1：The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. Electrics in the room needed updating. No sprinklers in the room, which was very worrying. The Hotel obviously hasn't been inspected by the local authorities, for some time. Bathroom was devoid of plugs for the sink, bidet and bath. Sink was coming away from the wall.

Review 3：Hate to write a bad review but there were issues. Avoid room 101! They put everything bad in there. Smell was so bad it was like something had died in bathroom . Noise and cigarette smoke from street. No internet in that room either. We asked to move and to hotel credit they did put us in different room, but why put us in bad room to start with as they must know that here was an issue. Breakfast best avoided but that's not problem as lovely cafes just down road . Sun terrace was closed which was shame as view was lovely.

Review 11：the whole hotel has a bad smell which is unbearable in the bathrooms. We had the worst nights sleep. The beds are very uncomfortable and the pillows are so cheap and squashy you had to fold them three times to feel like you had your head on a pillow. Also if you want to get 'romantic' don't bother as the bed is on wheels and the slightest movement ends up with the bed spinning around the room. The breakfast was revolting and the woman who was staffing the room was the grumpiest unfriendly woman! It was like we insulted her by walking in the room. The selection for breakfast was terrible the fruit was all black and totton but still spread out expectant of someone to eat it. (If you had you would've probably got drunk for the fermentation) every noise from outside and inside the hotel was amplified and really loud as were the cleaners having a chat and getting their stuff out of the cupboards early in the morning.. They were our unwanted wake up call. I would never stay here again.

Review 17：This is a small hotel in the middle of the town. It has an old exterior but has been modernised inside. A huge, comfortable bed and a very adequate breakfast. Directions were very good and it's well signed as you approach the town centre. Very nice, helpful reception staff.

Review 18：The staff member overseeing breakfast treated me like I was completely unwelcome, to the point I wondered if it was really free. But it seemed to be just me she treated that way.

Review 27：Pet friendly was a must because we love to take our dog traveling. The entrance to the hotel made it nice to drive to and park to check in. The parking garage was not far away at all! Perfect location! The staff was wonderful and most helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. Enough to get us going on our day! The comfort of our room was wonderful. No problems. Our dog enjoyed his stay too. :)

Review 33：The hotel was easy to find being in the center of the city, and well sign posted. With excellent rooftop views of the Cathedral. The entrance and lobby where quite impresive with some nice artwork. The rooms are very clean and serviceable. the super sized bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever experienced in a hotel regardless of price. The breakfast was of a typical Spanish style and plentiful. The Staff where very polite and helpful, and mostly English speaking. I think the management and staff deserve congratulations for the well running of this hotel.

However, on the night I stayed there, it was booked for a privatefunction and there was a sign up saying it was closed to hotel guests.The barman let me take a couple of photos from the terrace but then Ihad to leave. I was disappointed as I had been looking forward tositting out on the terrace that evening enjoying the views. I don'tthink it is correct to advertise this feature and then refuse admittanceto paying guests. The breakfast was not very good - either in terms ofquality or choice. Most of the staff were not particularly welcoming andthe smallest thing seemed to be an effort for them,

Contains Medicine" stickers in Spanish (we re-used them in other hotels) stilll sticking to the plug and the box. Location is excellent for Jaen city visits, not so good for Via Verde access.
