Reviews for Hotel Adonis Capital

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:Lovely breakfast, eggs bacon small sausage and beans, plenty of fruit cereals, toast and cakes, and continental breakfast as well, lovely, wi-fi everywhere.

Review 3:Very noisy at times and doesn't help that the walls are thin. One set of neighbours who were a young group of men would come back drunk, singing, laughing about 3am, go out again, back at 5am, then go out and back after 6am...Luckily this happened on our last night only!

Review 4:Room is not clean, i opened the bed and saw other people's hair. And bed is not comfortable, cover is not clean. Hot water is coming so thinly.

Review 5:Breakfast is good and staff so helpfull.

Review 6:Lots of noise at night from the Plaza de Candalaria :(

Review 7:Great location, friendly staff, clean room, free wifi, close to shops and restaurants, felt safe to be there on my own.

Review 8:Did not use hotel parking so parking near hotel a problem but we were aware of this before stay.

Review 9:Great location-good view. Good sized room. Breakfast exceeded expectations. One morning there were 12 different types of fruit!!!

Review 10:Rooms' interior design (tiles on walls). Difficulty in getting to the hotel by car (lots of one-way streets). Poor wi-fi in rooms.

Review 11:Very good breakfast, great location for sight-seeing on foot, friendly staff, nice view from the hotel's roof.

Review 12:The pillows need to be replaced as they are old, flat and lumpy. There were only two pillows on each bed and when I asked for another two I was given the key to another bedroom to fetch them myself...

Review 13:The hotel is very central to the shopping area, bars and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent and a varied choice to suit all tastes.

Review 14:there are misrepresentation with the photos of the room and the one allocated with us. It was like a great bathroom with cold tiles and inward looking gloomy window. If you pay more you can get the rooms with balcony and more light.

Review 15:The car park was slightly difficult to find with no signs outside. Luckily, the taxi drivers outside pointed us to the right one.

Review 16:The breakfast was tasty, the location perfect and staff pleasent.

Review 17:Not enough sockets to charge our phone and kids devices and the lock broken on the toilet door.

Review 18:The staff are so friendly and helpful. The location is great right on the Spanish square.the breakfast buffet was delicious and the views amazing.

Review 19:Hotel, room, bad personal. We were 3 person in room for one, with 2 extra bed, hotel is cold, everything in red ceramics without taste, not friendly stuff, no parking, bad WiFi...

Review 20:Location

Review 21:Parking the car was a hassle because the receptionist was not able to explain or mark the location of the parking garage on the map (which was very close); we had to ask a colleague in another hotel nearby for directions. Please prepare a piece of paper that indicates the locations of the hotel and the parking garage! The room was too small: on booking.com it said 30m2, in reality it was about 15m2!

Review 22:Location and breakfast are superb. The hotel is located in the city centre of Santa Cruz in a pedestrian zone (you can access the hotel with your car but have to park elsewhere). Breakfast is served on the top floor with a view over the harbour (if you open the closed curtains and ignore the dirty windows)...

Review 23:Contrary to the booking.com website there is no on site parking, what is worse there is no way to drive to the hotel to drop off luggage. The directions delivered by booking.com only work for a pedestrian. Parking is in the Plaza Espana car park about 200 metres away. Having walked 400 metres to find the hotel and 400 back after discovering the conservation area is closed to traffic, and parking, then 200 metres back to hotel they said, "Oh you booked parking". This was a bit late, I wasn't going back! (They have some reserved spaces in there which are better value than car park rack rate ).

Review 24:Ask for a bedroom looking outwards on the 8th floor, 802 is always in the shade if you're traveling in summer. I liked it, 4 other rooms on this floor also have big terraces. Great views over harbour and out to sea, good location for shopping.

Review 25:Our room was on the 2nd floor with a small window to a closed courtyard on the back, so there was very low daylight in the room. The water of the toilet didn't hace enough pressure.

Review 26:Good location

Review 27:For people looking for peace and quiet, the noise from the street may be too loud.

Review 28:Good location, very helpfull staff, abundant breakfasts, spacious rooms with balcony.

Review 29:When we arrived the guy at the reception could not explain how to drive to the parking - he said, he never went there by car and proposed is to find it on map. The parking did't have any specific address or name so it took us a while to find it. Then our car (Opel Corsa!!) didn't fit the parking spot that they booked for us (actually pay attention to this when you book it!) and I had to return to the hotel and spend another 10-15 minutes figuring out how to fix the problem. We got the room at 8th floor and it was nearly to impossible to sleep well there: right above the room there is a cafeteria and at 6am they start breakfast services : turn on TV so you can here every single word, then guests move chairs and tables making loud noises... It was horrible! The other problem: they put router right above the bed and the lights are shining all night long and you can't sleep as well without a mask.

Review 30:No Air conditioning and the fan in room was half broken, it didn;t matter much as we were staying only for a night but could make any longer stay uncomfortable.

Review 31:Very good location, close to restaurants and amenities. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Review 32:Not a fan of the industrial area that takes up almost all of the waterfront and marina. But the hotel is great itself.

Review 33:Good location on the plaza. Noisy in early mornings, but not a big deal! You definitely need a car to explore the island, as there is not much to walk to near the hotel - although great shops and bars, there is far more sight seeing around the island. The staff was AMAZING and so king and helpful. I would definitely recommend!

Review 34:The facilities in the room is a bit old, and there is no electricity socket aside the bed, which make charging cellphone overnight on the side of bed impossible.

Review 35:The location of the hotel is right in the central area of Santa Cruz, and the receptionist is very welcoming and friendly. The bathroom is very spacious.

Review 36:Facing a plaza so request an upper floor to avoid the noise. Also very limited toiletries provided.

Review 37:Liked being in the centre of town and near the tram line.

Review 38:The terrace for breakfast was closed, a pity

Review 39:A problem with the shower the first day was resolved quickly and perfectly. Very nice staff at all hours.

Review 40:Slightly noisy from street below at night. But it is in the city centre above several cafes and restaurants.

Review 41:Large comfortable room. Excellent buffet breakfast. Superb view from balcony.

Review 42:Unfortunately I found rests of soap pieces on the faucet in the shower - How can I be sure it was cleaned, even though the rest of the shower, bathroom and room looked clean? Note: after telling reception it was cleaned thoroughly immediately.

Review 43:Unfortunately, there were some problems in the room upon arrival (broken lamp, no holder for shower head,...) I liked the fast answer of the maintenance staff: I informed reception about the problems and they were solved in a very short time. Would definitely recommend.

Review 44:Nothing really. The room was large and with large balcony, but the beds etc were basic and the decor of white paint and brown tiles...ugh !!

Review 45:The location. Almost by the sea and in the centre of the twon with shops cafes restaurants all nearby. The staff. Very helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast

Review 46:Have seen better housekeeping.

Review 47:In the middle of the busiest shopping street and close to almost everything. The Reception employees where very helpful and always a smile coming your way. Great Guys.

Review 48:Lighting - no bedside light, so reading in bed not possible. No real communal facilities.

Review 49:Receptionists extremely helpful & spoke very good English.

Review 50:Our room faced the main square. Lovely, except there were people, bin men, cleaners, drunks coming and going all night in the square. Did not get a great nights sleep. The bed was way too soft and the shower curtain was not clean. The hotel hasn't been updated since 70's

Review 51:The location is very good, right in the centre of town. The rooms were basic but well equipped with clean towels, tv, hairdryer and toiletries. The price was low considering the location

Review 52:fridge did not cool as much corridors tiled, therefore could hear everyone talking, passing by

Review 53:Location Huge balcony with sea view Free Wifi Room is quiet decent size

Review 54:We had a room right below the breakfast terrace and was very noisy as the buffet starts around 7am daily. Had to move to another room which was small instead.

Review 55:Breakfast and the location. The breakfast spread is big and offer many choices.

Review 56:The room was really dark. Every wall, corridor and door in the hotel was covered in brown tiles - depressing!!

Review 57:The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was a nice surprise given the room etc.

Review 58:Parking on arrival was a little bit complicated but with perfect help of the staff we parked at Plaza Espanol nearby.

Review 59:Perfect breakfast. Very helpful and pleasant staff.

Review 60:You always get a bit of night noise in a town environment.

Review 61:The hotel is in a good position to explore the town.Santa Cruz has good shops, bars ,restaurants and an amazing concert hall.

Review 62:Some noises from the streets in the middle of the night may bother you at nights.

Review 63:Location almost perfect, just in the middle of the Sta Cruz. Lot of shops and restaurants near by. Hotelroom was clean, staff nice and everything worked smoothly.

Review 64:Not a particularly attractive hotel (just a doorway at street level and narrow dark corridors) but perfect city centre/port location. Excellent breakfast buffet.

Review 65:It is very difficult to find and stop with a car. We had to go round 3 times, even with a Tomtom.... The garage is difficult to find as well. .

Review 66:Excellent hotel in a good position.

Review 67:The building is a little bit dated, but that really did not affect our stay.

Review 68:Very clean, very comfortable bed. quiet on the 5th floor.view of harbour.Very good breakfast plenty of choice and a great view from 9th floor.. excellent wiFi. it was a perfect location for a one night stay and very easy to explore the city.

Review 69:Only minor point: the towels have only been replaced 3 times in a 9 days' stay, even though I left them on the floor, as a signal I needed new ones...

Review 70:Everything! I got (as a solo traveller) the large room with balcony for the whole length of my stay during carnaval! Staff were very helpful and caring! Tasteful breakfast with a view! After stays in 2012 and 2015, I'll surely come back here!

Review 71:We stayed in Adonis Capital for 6nights. As it has only 2 stars we didn't have big expectations, but we were surprised. The location of the hotel was just perfect, as it was by the main square, we got a room whit a balcony in 5th floor so the view was just fantastic! Breakfast was very good for value. But the most important is staff! They were just amazing!

Review 72:Perfect central location. We did unknowingly book during carnaval, so it was very noisy - but that wasn't the hotel's fault. Room was clean and very comfortable bed. Desk staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good too, and the free WiFi worked perfectly.

Review 73:The pillows were like to slabs of concrete, very hard. The room smelt of smoking although we had booked a non smoking room. There was no hair drier in the room.

Review 74:The hotel had a central location. The staff at the hotel were very happy to help.

Review 75:Wifi didn't work well in the room, though no password was needed. There was computer on the top floor which ran very slowly and was down from time to time. The bathroom needs renovation.

Review 76:It is centrally located and our room overlooked the Plaza Candelaria. Great! Close the window and there would be little noise. There is a tourist info point 30 steps away. Every morning we left early for the bus, so we didn't have a chance to check the view from the breakfast area which was spoken highly of in other reviews.

Review 77:Some rooms can be noisy at night.Bed mattress to be replaced.Bathrooms could use some more water pressure and a refurbish. Wi-Fi often poor and slow.

Review 78:Location,right in the middle of cicty center, port side. Plaza de La Candelaria.Restaurants and shops all around.Rooms are large, some with balcony Breakfast is quite rich.

Review 79:Reception staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Wonderful huge balconies looking down on the Square and carnival festivities. Very comfy beds. Excellent value for money.

Review 80:The area, and the room was quite big, that was nice. 24/7 reception, and the staff was really helpful with giving some good tips and car rental company's.

Review 81:Hot water ran out in the bathroom. They had blocked the ground level access to the fire escape with a bicycle and hotel supplies.

Review 82:Location was good. Checkout was at midday.

Review 83:You might drive an hour or longer to find a spot for a car around the hotel.

Review 84:I know that hotel has a really good rooms and really bad rooms, If u are lucky, you might have a great time in Adonis Capital Hotel. WiFI very good, clean rooms, firendly staff, very good value for money.

Review 85:Nothing really, it more than rates it's 2 stars.

Review 86:Central location, large clean room with terrace overlooking Plaza. Pleasant staff and excellent breakfast for the price paid. Comfy bed and free Wifi. Gladly recommend for short city break or catching ferry.

Review 87:No free Wifi in rooms, but for the price paid for room you really can't complain. Free access was available in reception and by pool.

Review 88:We had one bedroom apartment which was a good size, with 2 bathrooms! Fitted with all you need for self-catering, hob, oven and microwave too! Good standard of housekeeping. All in all for the price which was very cheap, excellent value for money. Good location, good local restaurants and local bus service on your doorstep.

Review 89:Pressure of water in teh shower was poor.

Review 90:The location is perfect - in the very centre. The room was spacious with a large and comfortable bed. The bahroom was huge :) Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of things including fruits and desserts. The staff was very helpful, they can give you a free city map :)

Review 91:There is nothing not to like

Review 92:Close to port shops bars and restaurants Very good value for money and ideal for overnight or a couple of days to explore the lovely city of Santa Cruz

Review 93:not much of a view

Review 94:the breakfast, great value for money. cold meats cheese egg salad fruit bread cakes hot food eggs bacon sausages. Very helpful at the desk. macdonalds under the hotel and very central. 15 mins to port & 20 mins to bus station. large rooms.

Review 95:The hallways are a bit dark (probably because of the dark tiles that are all over the walls). People arriving by car should know it's not possible to park in front of the hotel, but there's parking space at the seaside and the parking lot under the main square. When you come from that parking lot, you see the 'Adonis Plaza hotel' on the square... Don't go into that hotel, because 'Adonis Capital' is just around the opposite corner (next to McDonald's)... :-)

Review 96:Fantastic location in the very heart of the city. Large, clean rooms with a nice balcony. Stunning view from the breakfast room on the top floor. The breakfast buffet itself is very good with ample choice. Very good value for money. Excellent wifi, also in the rooms!

Review 97:Absolutely nothing

Review 98:The most helpful staff we have ever come across. The reception personnel truly amazed us. The location could not be any more central. The breakfast is totally worth the value. Absolutely recommended.

Review 99:Great value place, breakfast was top at ninth floor with great views! Very clean!!!! Staff throughout the place extremely friendly! Highly recommended love to come back!

Review 100:Very good position, simple but very comfortable room, very helpful staff (they even helped us in printing boarding pass for our return journey) and nice and rich breakfast! Close to shopping and city visiting, perfect even with car as it has a private garage nearby (extra but cheap charge)

Review 101:The facilities in the room were listed as: Bath, TV, Telephone, Hairdryer, Wake up service/alarm clock, BALCONY, REFRIGERATOR, free toiletries, fan, toilet, bathroom, bath or shower, flat screen tv, tile/marble floor, VIEW, DINING AREA, wardrobe/closet Our room was missing those shown in capital letters (unless looking into the living room of the building opposite is considered a view) and when we asked for a change we were told there were no other rooms available despite the fact that people were checking in and out almost constantly. The weather was pretty bad - the whole of the Canary Islands on red alert for winds and storms - but having nowhere to sit and no fridge in which we could have stored some food and drinks did make getting out and about a much more desirable option than staying in but it would have been nice to have the choice.

Review 102:Location was great, breakfast was good with plenty of choice and the staff nice and friendly.

Review 103:The location in the centre means that it is inevitably noisy but no different than any other major city.

Review 104:The location was superb near almost everything we wanted to see.The staff were amazing Fanny and Nataret very very helpful as were the guys Inaki and Carlos.A great team that were always on hand.Great buffet breakfast with matching views the lady in charge was delightful.

Review 105:They advertise, that rooms are 30m², but acutualy they are maybe only 15m² - there fit only bed and wardrobe and small cupboard with TV, no table in room or balcony

Review 106:very friedly and helpfull staff, good breakfast bufet with a nice view

Review 107:No parking space Very ugly/cold interior design Bad acoustics Shower cold quickly Bad pillows

Review 108:Very good breakfast! Good Wi-Fi Nice location in center of Santa Cruz

Review 109:Hotel is really very cheap, and the services are accordingly.

Review 110:If you need to stay in the center of the city only for one - two days, the location is good, clouse to the bus station, and shopping area. However, very noisy at night.

Review 111:No light on balcony No hand rail in bathroom No chair in the room The Wifi on the 5th floor was no good

Review 112:The view from the balcony The staff was very nice and helpful The room was clean

Review 113:dated decor, tiny pool

Review 114:helpful reception staff, very large apartment style accomodation, very comfortable bed, central location with free parking, nice roof terrace

Review 115:everything else... The room was really old Breakfast was maybe the worst breakfast I had in the darkest ugliest room i've ever experienced

Review 116:Location Staff at reception

Review 117:Don't get discouraged by the outside face of the building. The hotel is great and 2 spanish stars will get you a comfort equal or better than 4-5 stars in Greece, Turkey or Bulgaria. Staff was great, understood 2 hrs of check out delay without extra charge, room clean, everyday service, great location, just near Plaza de Espana, will gladly go back anytime. Gracias Adonis :)

Review 118:When we arrived at the Capital, there was a sign on the door which said the hotel was closed during July and August. We were directed to the sister hotel the Plaza across the road where after a shaky start which was quickly put right we have enjoyed extremely good value which has left us very highly satisfied. The hotel shows signs of wear but the staff more than make up for any short comings. Breakfast is excellent and is superior to the that costs £16.95 at an airport hotel at E.M.A.

Review 119:Lack of facilities air conditioning thin walls fixtures and fittingsneed upgrading and better maintained locks on balcony and toilet brokenroom door lock also awkward . Despite being advertised couldn't havebreakfast outside on terrace only inside also breakfast whilst only 5euros cereals were stale .

Review 120:Location balcony cleanliness and staff helpful

Review 121:Noise from outside in middle of night

Review 122:Staff and location

Review 123:Could of done with a more efficient shower and better lighting in the room.

Review 124:We liked the location. The hotel was nice and quiet.

Review 125:balcony not private enough

Review 126:breakfast

Review 127:no safe, no tea facilities in room. Breakfast provided, but no restaurant.

Review 128:position of the hotel

Review 129:No easy to find car park.

Review 130:Location. Staff. Value.

Review 131:everything

Review 132:No Money back if you cancel the room

Review 133:The rooms needs to be renewed.

Review 134:Good breakfast. Nice and friendly personal.

Review 135:Hotel arrival was 2:00am by LCC at the south airport, but corresponded kindly.
