Reviews for Vincci Vía - 66

Review 1:My only comment was that we had tea making fascilities but no milk and they couldn't seem to understand that we wanted some. Minor but an irritant.

Review 2:Scaffolding all outside, but to be fare this shows that things are being further improved, which is good.

Review 3:The room standards, the decor, and the reception staff where very polite and helpful. All in all a very pleasant stay. And location is great.

Review 4:The noise from nearby theatre, the absence of any shelves to put my clothes, the change in temperature of the bath tap, the lack of double beds (most of the room are double beds). Also the decor is too modern, too cold.

Review 5:The location

Review 6:Location is just right for firsttimers, interior and comfort of the room is romantic and definitely suit couples, nice to stay inside when tired outside.

Review 7:The WiFi connection was poor in our room. We got a great deal on the room - not sure full price would be good value for money.

Review 8:Really comfy bed, spacious bathroom with great facilities. Cleaning of the room was excellent. Location is good, and a nearby metro means everything is accessible.

Review 9:Hotel was under repair on exterior side when we reached there.

Review 10:Location of the hotel was great. I don't know how is the price normally but we could get the hotel by a promotion around 120 Euros (twin room/ two persons) including breakfasts and it was quite fair in comparison with facilities. If you are looking for a fancy hotel in city center this would be a good option.

Review 11:Noise. Especially given that I am a smoker, I had to open the window and due to the noise of the street, I could not even hear my TV.

Review 12:The staff was very helpful in everything -- finding my way to different places, etc. Everything! I was happy with your friendly staff.

Review 13:1- the main issue I found really disturbing is the floor and walls are so thin especially when the room services team starting to clean up the rooms in the morning & you can hear the foot steps coming from the room up to your room. 2- the hotel didn't inform the residence of the of the building restoration occurred that time when i arrived and it differently affected the residence comfort. 3- also, be careful that the photos does not reflect the actual design of the hotel. 4- elevators are so small ,old and lousy bottom of line, if you are looking to a quit hotel , then definitely this is not your choice. be aware that English language are not used by all staff which made the communication with them so badly (used by one guy at the reception and one or two from the room services team).

Review 14:the hotel location is great and close to metro stations and the main Street

Review 15:For business, it is a little difficult because there is no desk with chair, just a dressing table with cassock.

Review 16:This is a beautiful hotel, interior is very Art Deco style. Rooms are good sized and bathroom very large.Location is perfect for shopping and sight-seeing.

Review 17:There is some improvement work going on at the hotel with scaffolding up outside our window. The hotel offered free drinks as compensation

Review 18:Staff friendly and welcoming

Review 19:The hotel was undergoing renovation during our stay but we were still very well looked after and not bothered by the ongoing work. The rooftop terrace is lovely and the car parking is very close. The rooms are modern and very clean. Walking distance to the Palace and lots happening in the surrounding streets.

Review 20:Great location on the main central road (shopping area). Very close to attractions- walking distance. Clean rooms with nice bathroom facilities. Having work done to the front so scaffolding obscuring view; also as on main road means noisy when opening window. Offered free drinks to compensate for work done!

Review 21:Water batery in the bathroom to be checked.

Review 22:Decoration style is very interesting, room was clean and a traveler can find everything one needs. Stuff was kind and helpfull. Location of the hotel is perfect.

Review 23:No draws in the open wardrove or somewhere to keep your clothes in, we had to keep all our luggage inside our bags.

Review 24:Great location, within a walking distance from the city centre.

Review 25:The beds were uncomfortable and the staff in the client lounge were not good. We ordered wine and it took 20 minutes to receive the glass of wine, but it was not busy at all.

Review 26:The location was great.

Review 27:Breakfast wasn't very good, no fresh vegetables, no vegan options. After two nights we decided to stay for another night but didn't book with breakfast - better to eat in one of the many restaurants on the street.

Review 28:Great location - on the main avenue "Gran Via" at the center of Madrid, walking distance of all of the theaters, bars, restaurants and stores (Primark just opened a new store that is about 4-5 mins away)

Review 29:The rooms were small and tired. The staff were rude. Told us breakfast was included but turns out its for 1 person so we had to pay - why would it be for 1 person when there was 2 of us. Said booking was for 1 person but my notes from booking.com said 2.

Review 30:Nothing to not like

Review 31:Most comfortable bed and pillows ever Thank you for the welcome drink and tapas nice touch Amazing attention to detail They think of everything !!

Review 32:Staff at main reception were brisk and understaffed. Queued for half an hour on arrival. The main reception was on the ground floor then the first floor was the bar and breakfast. This was only open at certain times.

Review 33:The location was excellent for walking to all the major sites in Madrid. The room was beautiful very clean huge bathroom and well thought out. Lovely rooftop terrace.

Review 34:WiFi signal weak; no Satellite TV. Bling decor takes a little getting used to.

Review 35:Excellent location; links to tourist- round -Madrid Red Bus Service very well. Great for shopping and testing tapas bars.

Review 36:Rooms quite uncomfortable Breakfast very bad considering the price Overall much better value to be had in Madrid for €300 a night

Review 37:good location , helpful staff

Review 38:Location was fantastic, could not fault it. Staff were lovely and very helpful. We had a small issue with our shower which was sorted in an afternoon. Sara was especially nice.

Review 39:Whenever close the door, the big sound was occured. It will be ok in day time but night time it was a little bit big, when the door was closed of next my rooom I had to wake up due to this sound.

Review 40:Quite easy to access to Espana plaza and get a coffee. There is a chinese store I can get most of things what I used eat in Korea. You have to go roof around 7:30PM to see wonderful sunset.

Review 41:Hotel staff except for reception dont speak a word of English. Wifi, free and premium barely works. Reception cant advise on where to go or what to do.

Review 42:No negatives

Review 43:Great location, spacious room & bathroom and to top it all off a fantastic roof terrace to enjoy a cocktail or 2. Breakfast was also good value and late breakfast until 11.30am on weekends.

Review 44:Enjoying a last night in Madrid on a private balcony with a nice view over Gran Via, a bottle of wine and some tapas, after a cocktail on the rooftop terrace bar of the hotel at sunset. Unforgettable moment with my wife.

Review 45:Didn't like that there was no tea/coffee facilities in the room. Trips to Starbucks really do add up. Also the bathroom sink was very loose and was slightly leaking when we were there.

Review 46:The location is very good. Only 5min walk to Plaza de Espana which is a main link to Puerto Del Sol. Gran Via is a great spot to stay is near enough everything and still quiet at nighttime. The hotel were very nice to give a bottle of complimentary Champagne for our anniversary.

Review 47:Although location is very central, Gran Via can get exceptionally busy. Noise didn't reach our room though.

Review 48:Apart from a rather uninspiring lobby, the rest of the hotel is excellent. Rooms are very stylish and well appointed and the staircase alone justifies a visit. Very good value for money.

Review 49:We had problems with the air conditioning not working properly under a temperature of 35C. Only "Raul" tried to help bringing us a ventilator. We had two rooms and wished to keep only onle for a free late check out. Even aware of all the troubles we had with air conditioning they were inflexible and charged more 40 euros for one room late check out.

Review 50:There was a receptionist ( I believe his name is Raul) that tried his best to solve our problems. All others were not so friendly.

Review 51:The parking is just next door but it's a public parking not managed by the hotel. For 3 days I ended up paying 95 euros! No other possibility around.

Review 52:One of the two sinks in the room didn´t work. The door edge of bathroom was stained with what looked like blood. The reception staff were cold.

Review 53:Being in the middle of the Gran Via and all the sights of the city a few steps. Also the charm of Madrid's nightlife.

Review 54:Wifi was not fast. I paid for getting faster one but it was still quite bad and was disconnecting. In the end I was refunded the money given the bad internet. On the other hand, for such a hotel, I would expect much better WiFi offering even for free. These are no brainers.

Review 55:Staff was friendly, room was great, location great, overall experience was nice!

Review 56:Can't swith on bathroom lights separately from the bedroom lights. I would have expected to hav a switch by the bathroom door. Yes, a pool would have been nice to have.

Review 57:Great location and friendly staff. Room decoration is refteshingly different.

Review 58:We asked for a full bed and they not only didn't have it as they treated us bad as if what we asked (the full bed) when booking was something not avaible.

Review 59:The best bathroom!

Review 60:Poor Wifi signal, option of upgrading to faster Wifi is a cheek. Staff not the friendliest. All the room doors bang when closing, we were also put on a floor full of children running up and down the passages. Aircon could not go below 25.5 degrees celsius.

Review 61:Style of the hotel makes it different to the rest. Breakfast variety was good.

Review 62:it was hot and the AC just didn't cut it. wifi was hit or miss

Review 63:nice hotel, W-esque, very modern, cool rooftop bar, good amenities, central location

Review 64:Some little things can be improved: the floor in the bathroom was old and broken The TV in the room should be changed AirCon system functioning but quite old

Review 65:The position of the hotel is great The terrace offers a stunning view over Madrid and Gran Via Room very spacious and comfortable

Review 66:The hotel gets so many tourists yet they made us buy an adapter to charge our phones which had North American plugs. For a €6 adapter, they almost annoyed an otherwise contented guest.

Review 67:The hotel is ideally located with many landmarks close by. This is a beautiful property with modern layout. The rooms are chic, spacious and clean. The glittering bathroom is a real treat. The staff is nice and could be better.

Review 68:Wi fi so bad, staff not freindly,no Room service,no bilman and no ramps in the reception for the lagage ,we wanted the hotel to book a taxi for airport they told us to stop a taxi in the corner!

Review 69:Great location few steps from metro bus ,turistic buss station, shops and restaurents around ,few steps from super market pharmacy,el courte angeles, piassa despania piezza del sol.. nice street view nice breakfast.. window isolets street noise

Review 70:Room was hot. Not sure if Air conditioning was working properly Also doors slamming in the night ! The doors need to have the controlled closing on them

Review 71:Location Staff

Review 72:Service in roof top bar very slow and inattentive. Our 'welcome' upon arrival was stony-faced - though the staff's friendliness did improve to 'functional' over our 2-night stay. Was not enough to put us off this lovely hotel at all.

Review 73:They've made the best of a small hotel by incorporating wonderful design to please all the senses - even their own spa-like aroma (which you can buy in reception!). The location is fantastic for sightseeing, shopping and dining out.

Review 74:There was truly nothing I did not like. :-)

Review 75:The Location of the hotel is just perfect for a visit to Madrid. The roof terrace is great with a stunning view on the city and a very recommendable selection of gins for Gin Tonic. :-) Rooms are nicely decorated, the whole house very stylish and design, breakfast offered everything you could think of. The staff was very friendly . All in all an unforgettable experience!

Review 76:during a heat wave. air conditioner couldn't hold the temperature where we wanted. several close Metro locations, would have liked better directions as to which to take

Review 77:great location. rooftop terrace was nice. soundproof room & windows.

Review 78:Complicated system for light switches in the room.

Review 79:We left our rental car at the Avis garage just next to the hotel so it was extremely convenient location. Nice roof top bar with excellent view of the city.

Review 80:My only less experience had to do with the bed. I've asked for a double bed and instead got two single beds.

Review 81:The location of the hotel is great. Love the vibe of this contemporary hotel and the rooms are very nice. Staff was friendly and adequate.

Review 82:nothing to complain

Review 83:The staff were super nice people, very welcoming feeling always and made us feel relaxed. We had our common laughs and humour. I ordered massage and that was the best I have ever had.

Review 84:Misunderstandings between staff and us which was made difficult because of their lack of English speaking.

Review 85:The bedrooms were beautiful along with the overall architecture of the hotel. The rooftop terrace was also lovely.

Review 86:old and tired - primary draw of this hotel was the fact they have a roof terrace for drinks and food. it was closed the entire time i was there as they had rented it out to an outside group.... so be careful!

Review 87:good location

Review 88:Arriving and departing is a bit tricky with luggage as there are steps from the street into the hotel, and then again from reception to the lifts. There aren't many options available on the TV as they are pushing a paid service which seemed a bit greedy. It was very hot when I was in Madrid and it would have been nice to enjoy the rooftop terrace, however, with absolutely no shade provided, that just wasn't possible. The safe in my room wasn't usable for the first 24 or so hours when I checked in - apparently the battery needed to be recharged and there was no maintenance staff available after 5pm. This meant that I was out for most of the entire next day with my valuables unsecured in the room.

Review 89:The decor was outstanding! Very modern and artistic with the highest level of comfort. Location was very convenient. Will stay again if we travel to Madrid.

Review 90:No room service. Every time I ask for ice or cup or hot water they tell me to go upstairs to rooftop and bring it myself. Housekeeping didn't know English. No water heater and they make the hot water by heating it in microwave.

Review 91:I made special request while I was booking as it was our honeymoon and the hotel answered it with a lovely gesture. The location is perfect

Review 92:The terrace is too good to be closed at 23:30

Review 93:On the check-in a trainee provided me a two key-cards, one is for it´s direct purpose and another one is to keep an air-conditioner switched on when the client is out. It was very friendly and opportunely due to +43 degrees, thank you! Room was very nice and clean and even with a street view it wasn't noisy at all. The terrace was a nice place to finish the day, enjoy a spectacular view and taste a perfectly served gin tonic. And of course this hotel have a very comfortable location.

Review 94:We did not like how the room we paid more for to get a bigger room could not fit a suitcase anyware. The hotel is in terrible nick with tiles crumbling and combing out of the floor. There is wood decaying in the room and the taps and handles where falling of.

Review 95:We liked how there was easy acces to most shops and attractions. The room was a nice welcoming environment but could use some fixing.

Review 96:Wifi connection sometimes break down.

Review 97:The location is perfect, it's in the city center, so everything you need is there around you. The room is so nice and comfortable.

Review 98:The room was quite small, there was only one seat and no where to place cases. We were only staying one night so this was not a problem but would have been had we stayed longer. Also don't like having to use a credit card to operate the safe. This is the very item I often want to leave in a safe.

Review 99:Nice hotel in central position, easy to walk to main squares. Several nearby metro stations. Staff were very friendly, everywhere very clean.

Review 100:Very well designed and furnitured room, by the big street and easy access to the most attractive tourist spots in Marid( Royal Palace, the mayor plaza, the best Flamingo performance, the walking street with many nice espagnol shops);very good breakfast;warm gift with candy and water; restaurants;ham shop next door; and of course, nice and helpful front desk stuff;good price...excellent!

Review 101:Central location for all the city highlights. Weird but interesting decoration of lobby, room, etc. Helpful staff anytime. Efficient a/c, very much appreciated on a recent 100° F heat wave.

Review 102:Slow and inattentive service at the terrace bar, they didn't serve us for 20 mins and then we had to go and find them. The order was wrong, and very slow. Inefficient reception staff overnight, they took half an hour to tell us that they couldn't find a minibar price list. We ordered breakfast to the room, it was extremely expensive, delivered late, the juice wasn't real and the toast was cold.

Review 103:the room was still nice and slick, very comfy

Review 104:We checked in late after flying 30hrs to discover we had a SMOKING room, we were so exhausted that we just accepted it....tip, ask for a NON smoking room...surprised that smoking rooms still exist.

Review 105:Great central location, although on Gran Via - very quiet rooms. Nicely decorated hotel.

Review 107:I have used this hotel now 3x in the past 6 weeks. Twice the roof top bar was closed. Once there was a flooding and my business colleague had to stay in other hotel. Not many facilities.

Review 108:Location and the breakfast service are the best features of the hotel. Rooms are nicely laid out but could be cleaner. Airco not always working either.

Review 109:Noisy air conditioning

Review 110:To my surprise, the staff in the Hotel marked my Birthday with a bottle of Champagne and cake. Completely unexpected. Ambience of the Hotel and friendly, courteous and efficient staff

Review 111:Nothing...if we were being really picky the lighting controls in the room took some figuring out :-)

Review 112:The room was very comfortable and well kept with everything we needed. It was my 50th and the staff kindly left a bottle of bubbly for us to enjoy. Roof terrace gives a great view of Madrid

Review 113:We did request a double bed and got two singles and the wifi was very slow but it was nothing at all that would ruin the holiday.

Review 114:Absolutely amazing trip and Vinci via was perfect. Gorgeous hotel, very helpful staff, very clean and I'm very fussy and perfect location. One million percent recommend. Madrid is unreal.

Review 115:- very small pre-historic TV - TV volume set to max beyond your control - room too small put my suitcase with difficulty - Bed cover is old style blanket and not a proper duvet cover - air condition does not cool unless the outside temperature is cool!!!! - Switch fall a part cheep quality Same breakfast every day Made 3 star but lower than that in reality

Review 116:This hotel is located well on main streets of Madrid. However, its not a great chain of hotels. Nice and modern bathroom

Review 117:Had shopping bag stolen from outside - put it down for a second.

Review 118:We spent far too long at the roof top bar at the end of the day! Great spot to soak up the sun and rest your feet.

Review 119:There was no help at the lobby. We had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs.

Review 120:Location, staff service, amazing view from the room, excellent amenities, hotel left salami and wine as a courtesy in our room. We enjoyed our stay

Review 121:Nothing.

Review 122:The hotel is in a great location, close to all the sights and restaurants and bars that you would want to visit. The rooms are small but well appointed and very clean. The bathroom was very impressive and the staff were very helpful.

Review 123:The hotel is in a great location on Gran Via, close to all the attractions. It was immaculate inside and as it was my father's birthday they sent a bottle of champagne and some cake to the room which was very much appreciated.

Review 124:Plug fell off wall exposing live electric wiring. Air conditioning didn't work. Tried to call to have fixed but phone didn't work. Took 2 hours for an iron to be delivered...

Review 125:The AC in the room was a bit Hot

Review 126:Staff was good so helpful & welcoming .. hotel in a great location .. rooms are a bit small but that was not a problem liked the hotel & I would come back again

Review 127:There was nothing we didn't like.

Review 128:The location was perfect, metro stations all around hotel allowed us to travel all over madrid. The hotel was very stylish and ridiculously clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Review 129:- toilets paper not great - wifi is very poor

Review 130:Building is simply amazing. Facilities are stunning. Staff are great. Fantastic location in the heart of Madrid.

Review 131:Noisy other guests during the night

Review 132:Good central location. Great thick curtains meant room was very dark Good choice at breakfast Very comfortable bed

Review 133:There's nothing about our stay we didn't like

Review 134:Hotel is in a good location and it was very relaxed. Staff were also very helpful. Roof top terrace is also lovely
