Review 2：The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfy...after a long day we had such a good rest! The location in perfect!!! Will book again!

Review 3：The heating in the room could not be controlled and in the nights it got really uncomfortable to sleep. Had to leave the windows open .. In winter!!

Review 4：Eleanor at reception was amazing and constantly helpful. Rooms were large for family and extremely comfortable. Location was the best .. Walking distance to most popular spots.

Review 5：I arrived before the regular checkin time, so they said they have the room ready but I'd need to pay 25 Euro if I wanna check in before regular time. I declined and came back at the regular checkin time, so they took me to the room, but I had to wait another 10 minutes because the room was NOT even ready by then.

Review 9：Quiet comfortable friendly safe hotel with excellent staff. (Room 4th floor away from front). Comprehensive continental breakfast with long opening hours, evening restaurant meal good value.

Review 10：The staff didn't tell us where the bar or restaurant were so we did not use those facilities. I am sure we would have if they made it clear where they were. We were happy to walk less than five minutes to star bucks for breakfast and there are so many places to go for dinner in the area. Other than that I enjoyed our stay very much.

Review 11：When we arrived we were put in a room right down the very end of the corridor on the 7th floor and the wifi was really bad, there was a small crack in the bath (could not have a deep bath) and the bathroom had a really bad smell (like sewerage). However when I spoke to somebody at reception (late in the evening) about the wifi they moved us to room 717 the next morning and our following three nights in this room were amazing. The view of the palace was perfect and the staff were really helpful. Cleaners came in everyday it is a very clean hotel.

Review 12：It was a little noisy outside one night, but this problems was easily solved by closing the window. We could hear some noise from the hall and rooms next to us.

Review 24：It was easy to get evrywhere from the hotel. By metro, bus and even the Taxi didn't cost a lot because of the distance from evry place. The staff was the most professional, kind and helpfull that I ever seen. From the moment we check-in till the last moment we check-oubt they were just perfect! They made our trip even better :) Just so you now... we asked for a lot of instructions and they always did it with a smile! Thank You Principe Pio staff!

Review 31：Firstly, the reception staff aren't very friendly and the check-in process took forever! Our room had a blocked bath and the shower head kept on falling off the bracket and was also stuck together with black tape. Breakfast was shocking! My husband found parts of the plastic wrapper on his salami slices two mornings in a row and i had crunchy eggshells in my scrambled eggs! Don't want to go back there.

Review 33：The hotel doesn't advertise the fact that parking is not attached to the hotel, 150 metres to walk with baggage to hotel entrance with the prospect of 20 euros per day to pay does not make a good first impression! Too much traffic

Review 35：No refridgerator in room. No where to hang jackets, towels, etc. Glasses were removed and not replaced. Coffeecups were not removed. We were charged 18 x 2 euroes for something called "room service". We had ordered one bottle of cava, not Three! The man in the reception said he did not know what the amount was, nor could he find out. He said we had to pai almost 40 euro even though he had no idea what the bill was, nor did he want to chek. I had to get angry and insist on seeing the manager before he did something about it. Obviously the amount was canceled. He never appologised and was rude the rest of Our stay.

Review 38：Great location from train station with a direct link to Terminal 4 at the airport. Free shuttles to all terminals from T4. Hotel very close to the Royal Palace and Metro Lines. Hop on bus tours five mins away.

Review 47：For those of you who like to reminisce, the hotel interior will take you back about 50 years. The faucets and beds are new but the doors and closets seem to be original. The location is fairly central, near the Royal Palace. The staff is friendly.

Review 97：Location, Near to centre yet far enough away to be reasonably quiet atnight. Very close to the palace real and the metro. Get off at PlazaEspana with bags and go downhill to hotel. Then when leaving fo downhillwith bags to Principe pio. Safe did not work so hotel changed rooms withno fuss and brought a "gift". V friendly staff.

Review 98：The room was quite plain, not very big or very decorated, but there was everything we could need, and anyway we didn't spend much time in the room, once you're in Madrid you'd better visit the city ;)

Review 99：Great position (near metro Plaza de Espana); our room was on the 6th floor and from our window we had a beautiful view of the Palacio Real! The room was accurately cleaned everyday; all the receptionist were very friendly and ready to help us or give us advise (about were to go, how to buy tickets, etc.).
