Review 1：I wouldn't recommend eating here. Initially we were the only ones in the restaurant, and the young lady who was on duty that night gave the impression that she would have rather been anywhere but at work. My husband and myself both ordered a steak from the rather limited menu, which was unfortunately tasteless and full of gristle. Probably our worst meal of the trip.

Review 2：I chose this hotel as we were travelling by car and after reading several reviews, it seemed easier to stay a little outside of the city centre for the convenience of being able to park. The hotel is huge, and located just off the motorway near to a large petrol station. The rooms were large and relatively comfortable, and the bathroom was enormous. Breakfast was only adequate.

Review 4：We liked everything. Rooms are spacious and equipped with a king-sixed bed which was very comfortable. Bathrooms are very functional and toileties provided. Would use this hotel again.

Review 6：Visited Jaen for the first time and although the hotel is a little bit out of the City we found the hotel to be great. It was very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful and there is ample parking though no garage. If I visit Jaen again I will definitely stay here again.

Review 8：Good location at crossing of highway's, good comfort in rooms including airco. Easy to find with navigator or head for the very near shell fuel station. No noise of roads.

Review 10：This was our second stay at HO Ciudad de Jaen. We were impressed with the location the first time and used the hotel as a basis for exploring Jaen and the small towns on the Ruta las Navaries. Granada and Cordoba are about an hour away and Malaga two hours by car. The hotel has excellent facilities, a convenient reataurant/cafeteria, good breakfast choices, the standard of the room was very good and the cleaning staff very professional and efficient. The reception staff were very helpful. Additionally, on site parking is excellent and there is a nearby petrol station

Complained at Reception but we were told he had a right to be there as we did not put sign on our door. Totally unacceptable as our passports and money in full view. We require an apology.

Review 21：Service in was restaurant terrible. The restaurant and bar were separated by a low screen. We were paying for a full three course meal but customers eating tapas in the bar had three waiters to serve them. We had to stand up and wave three times to get any service at all. We complained at reception after leaving our table but did not receive an apology. I do not think the hotel caters for international guests. [Note; the tiramasu is not tiramasu!]

Review 25：Unfortunately I had sent a request for a quiet room on second floor away from the main bar area, but was given room 101 closest to bar area on ground floor. Staff do not speak much English, gave us another room but someone was already in it when we arrived. Upgraded to suite free of charge but advised would have to vacate following morning, packed up only to find we were give the room again. Room service did not understand English so had to ask reception to order for us. Breakfast, coffee cold, food not very hot and not much choice, gave it a miss second day. Could not find instructions in hotel of how to find English TV Channels so only found on second night. However hotel was nice and we would stay again, just a few minor problems.

Review 26：The hotel was ideally located just off the main road, good parking. Quality of food from room service was very good. Upgraded to a suite which was lovely, largest bath and bed ever seen. Reception staff very friendly and helped to sort out a problem quickly.

Review 27：tea and coffee for breakfast was only medium warm when should have been hot. Limited TV channels, didn't use Wifi. Bathroom tiles looked old and tired.

Review 29：The restaurant was a café with a small area sectioned off with tablecloths on the tables but otherwise the same as the café. We had to send food back because it was over-cooked; definitely not a 4-star restaurant. The hotel is a 12€ taxi-ride from Jaen and there are no restaurants nearby. The room smelled of smoke and felt as if the bedding needed a good wash.

Review 34：Our stay was for 1 night only as a stopover en route to Cadiz and from that point of view the location was excellent, just off the motorway and easy to find with plenty of parking. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room spacious with good bathroom facilities. We ate dinner at the hotel and the food was excellent as was the breakfast, with a good choice of hot and cold dishes.

Review 101：This hotel was a pleasant surprise for us. We didn't anticipate much of a hotel somewhere at the outskirts of the town, but found a very nice place, with comfortable, large and spotlessly clean rooms, modern design, and friendly staff. The location of this hotel is both its advantage and disadvantage: on one hand, there is plenty of free parking, and you don't have to navigate through narrow streets of an old town. On the other hand, you still need a GPS to find this place, and you can't walk to the city center from there - need to drive (and park :-)). Don't forget to take a swimming suite with you - this hotel has a pool and sauna.

Review 102：Arrived late evening (10.30pm) after a long day, was pleasantly surprised to find that check-in was efficient and that excellent staff in the dining room served a really tasty meal with a very nice house wine. We finished our wine on the room balcony and slept really well on a very comfortable bed in a well appointed bedroom. We will stay there again when travelling this route.

Review 105：A comfortable situated hotel for traveling fast by car. Nice room with good beds, the breakfast was ok. The openly parking in front of the hotel was suprising but we did not have any problems with the car full of goods.

We also we're not allowed to breakfast at 11:15am despite information that breakfast was served till 11:30am., but someone realized it was wrong and we were served at the Bar.

Review 121：Bathroom worktop far too deep which makes it very difficult to apply make-up or shave. Our bathroom did not have a shaving/make up mirror although I know some of the bathrooms here have them. Did not like the constant television playing loudly with football. Would prefer music instead. Ate in the restaurant once, the food was not up to the standard it should have been and the football noise was off-putting. They need a separate, quiet restaurant area away from the television. Only 2 sets of lounging chairs in the foyer, in the dark area, so there was nowhere to sit and read outside of the rooms. Could not find anywhere to park in the centre of Jaen so were not able to visit the Banos Arabes as we wished.
