Reviews for Casa España
Review 1:Beautiful building in an excellent location. Loved having a cafe downstairs and the town views from the balconies. A very nice helpful family who give your stay a personal touch. And great value for money!
Review 2:initially difficult to find. Perhaps should use Tourist Information Office location as a guide?
Review 3:Value for money. On Camino Norte route and reasonably central location beside Tourist Information Office.Friendly and helpful staff.
Review 4:Casa Espana is right in the heart of the old town and is staffed by great people who really care for their customers. This old house has lovely character (and for motorcyclists like me there's safe parking on the pavement right outside).
Review 5:If you have problems with stairs this is not the place for you as no elevator
Review 6:Great location, wonderful room up in one of the towers, with its own entrance hall, friendly staff, quiet, nice patio on the square, walking distance to all attractions,
Review 7:A kettle and tea/coffee in the room would have been nice for the British tourist!
Review 8:Everything - warm generous people, beautiful old building, gorgeous town, the perfect central location for exploring the amazing province of Asturias.
Review 9:Hard to get to by public transport: but is that a problem! Lack of information regarding local walks in the Turismo.
Review 10:The hotel Casa Espana is delightfully situated in the centre of the charming old town, Wonderful place to sit and watch busy Spanish life go by. Helpful and friendly staff, always ready to assist but never pushy or obtrusive. Lots of excellent places to eat within minutes. The town is excellently situated to access both country side and the prettiest coast imaginable. Lots of good local walks: but take your own map! Would go back tomorrow!
Review 11:A little noisy with the traffic, but not the hotels fault.
Review 12:If you're looking for a nice big room with modernish bathrooms, in a superb location, and happy to wander about for your food; then this does the job. Would stay again and for longer..

Review 20:I particularly liked the atmosphere. Also, my room was nice and big.
Review 21:WiFi a bit variable
Review 22:Staff friendly and excellent location near town centre and next door to Tourist Information
Review 23:nothing
Review 24:friendly hotel owners, beautiful large room, would highly recommend
Review 25:Far too expensive for a hotel without lift and air-conditioning. The sign 'no molestar', i.e. 'do not disturb' seems to be a signal for the cleaning staff to make as much noise as possible near your door in the morning. The fact that there is no organised breakfast and that you have to go to the cafe next door -even though owned by the same person- should qualify this place as a hostal.
Review 26:The old fashioned style.
Review 27:None of the staff spoke any English or french and so we found it nearlyimpossible to even order any breakfast as our spanish is poor. The checkin was brief as the person on the desk was on the telephone anddidn't bother to get off it to give us our key. . We hadspecifically asked for a double bed but had 2 singles and because a) hewas on the phone and b) our spanish wasn't good enough wecouldn't organise another room. We were there to see a BruceSpringsteen concert in a nearby town and we only wanted a bed for thenight. So it was fine for us .I would suggest that this is a hotel for astop over.
Review 28:Breakfast was a bit of a minefield, as no English is spoken but we didget toast and jam and coffee after a pantomime. Maybe a card withEnglish translation would be helpful.
Review 29:Location excellent, easy to walk in and out to explore pretty town andnear lots of restaurants. Parking was kept for us right outside thehotel. Excellent value, very Spanish which we loved. Proprietor veryfriendly and helpful
Review 30:Friendly staff. Great location.
