Review 1：The bed was hard and uncomfortable, but still managed to sleep ok due to quietness. The room was small, but it is a boutique style hotel and couldn't really complain about it. There was only a shower and no bath. There was no kettle or brew making facilities in the room.

Review 2：Modern boutique style hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Location was quiet, couldn't hear any traffic. Directly outside Metro stop, so easy to get to and from. Great free wifi and safe in room. After checking out, was able to leave bags securely at the hotel.

Review 7：We spent the few days around New Years here and couldn't have been happier with our choice. If you have the opportunity to book the panoramic room, do it—the view and fun window lights were extra special touches. The Metro is right by the front door, Gran Via is a block away and Plaza Mayor is in close walking distance.

This really annoys me when your paying £150 a night! It was nice to have a city view room but it's not exactly looking over anything and your surrounded by buildings of a similar height. Review 46：The location is absolutely perfect! We could walk everywhere we wanted to get to ( all the typical sights ). Less than 5 minutes from the shopping areas which was great while we waited for our room to be ready. Which as we arrived very early around 10.30 they had our room ready for us within 2 hours. The bathroom was really nice! Good shower. The bar is nice ! We had lovely drinks and nibbles.

Review 53：Just two small things: The street access door, which was an automatic glass door with a bizarre opening mechanism. It's fancy and cool, but it hits you as it opens if you are not careful. The light by the window. I like to sleep with my curtains open, to see the city lights at night. But there was an annoying blue/green light at the base of the window, which changed colors and was too strong to sleep. I had to close the curtains.

Review 72：I can understand why they don't say 'welcome' when you arrive, or ask if you enjoyed you stay when you leave. Frankly they don't care. The staff were, at best, dismissive, at worst rude and unhelpful. WIFI woefully inadequate, could not even download a simple email, so I had to resort to my own mobile data which cost more than the night at the hotel to deal with my emails. They refused to acknowledge there was any problem with the WIFI, and could do nothing to help. The pool was shut for yet another wedding. When I complained, they said it's in their terms of business and that if the pool was important to me, I should have rung them to check if it was going to be open - 'We can't possibly put a note on our website every time it's going to be privately used'. Really? There slight smell about the place, all just a little unclean and tired. Fortunately, I had just one night there, would certainly have checked out if it were any longer.

Review 86：When I made the booking, I made a request for a bigger room, as there were three of us travelling together, in the room we got, we couldn't all be in there, and put our bags down at the same time. We got changed to a slightly bigger room, which was okay. The rooms featured on the website were nothing like either of the rooms we were in, clearly there is a new part and an old part, which was not clear to me on the website, the room we were in was dated, but very clean

Queried this with hotel reception and was suprised to learn that they had upgraded us but had no double beds left. Upon further query was shown the "original" room I had booked and asked if I would like to change. The room was small and contemporary but was on the first floor/Street level and the bathroom was filthy with chipped tiles. Personally I don't think anybody sleeps in this room and it's all a con. Holes in towels No hand towels in room on arrival. Disturbed twice by hotel employee checking the mini bar, inside 20 mins of arrival. Pool was disappointing. Very small and crowded. The pictures from the website are very misleading. Overall I am disappointed as I was convinced I was staying in a modern boutique "4" star hotel. The only compliment I can give is that the bathrooms are beautifully designed, except the bathroom I could of had if I had decided to take a double bed rather than a twin.

We were changed againthe bell boy took me into a third room to show us 608 I headed straightfor the bathroom room and only to discover the lovely glass sink wascompletely broken with a large length of sticky tape holding ittogether.. Needless to say the bell boy now himself was a littleembarrassed!. Finally we were shown into room 609.... Which was amazing,except for the pink due in the corners of the shower which clearlyshowed again a lack of basic housekeeping, design wise the room wasgreat, it was as if they knew I played the piano a fantastic pianofreeze painted on the wall.. Pool does not open till 11am and closes at8pm so they can transform the pool into a bar area, so forget your swimwhen you most want it.. You have a gem of hotel that was once chic, nowwith floors and basic cleanliness issues doors and paintwork that wereclearly not intended to be used in wet areas as they are flaking andwarped, bad design again!!! This hotel in my opinion is now shabby... Tothe managemnt and owners of this hotel.

Review 118：We were in Madrid on a sightseeing trip. The hotel was ideally situated being so central. The room was perfect for us, the ground floor bar was good and the view from the roof bar was great. (Both good value, too.)

Review 119：Extra short beds. We asked for a queen or king size bed and got a room with separate beds. Next day only we got other room. The doors do not break rumors. You can hear all noises from corridor.... Breakfast much too expensive as for what they offer.Looks a nice buffet, but choice is limited. For that money you get luxury breakfast out of hotel. Personel did not clean up tables, you always had to ask and they would start long talk in Spanish to you or others instead of doing there job. For that money seems to me they could do some more. Personel only speak Spanish or just few words of English. Not any commercial feeling. Bar at pool only opens from 14:00 and not 1 second before. No possibility to order a bottle of cava in the room, need to buy elsewhere. No bottle of cava at pool. They do not communicate in a proper way. We did not know they closed the pool for private party satherday night. instead of telling the bartender started to shout to us in Spanish. We will not go back for certain, we found a better hotel.

Review 129：1/ It was very hot in Madrid and we were desperate to take advantage of the pool/terrace area on coming back from our trips around the sites. Sadly the pool was closed early for a wedding, so we were kicked out at 7.00pm as we arrived ! The pool only opens at 11.00am which is frankly silly when you have to check out by 12.00. Also no towels were available by the pool and the top terrace was closed until the afternoon as was the poolside bar ! We were therefore unable to avail ourselves of the complimentary drinks ! 2/ The room we had was small, but reasonably comfortable - however, the noise level from outside on Friday night was dreadful with shouting and screaming from the square until at least 5.00am ! Also the noise insulation of the walls & ceilings was extremely bad and you were constantly woken by people upstairs and to the side using the shower and flushing the toilets ! 3/ The WiFi worked very slowly for incoming e-mails after many tries, but we could not get an e-mail out at all or browse the net. 4/ The lift system was complicated as we were in a building at the back and had to take two lifts.

Review 130：The location was truly excellent and almost made up for the noise and lack of promised facilities ! Decor was also nice and the receptionists were friendly and courteous. Metro station just outside made transport around town and to the airport easy.
