Reviews for Hotel Taburiente S.C.Tenerife

Review 1:I ask for a big bed,it was not.Room very small but with a big terrace we never used it ... Bath room very dangerous, the shower very slivering and with nothing to hold on. DANGER, Also in bath room always a very disgusting smell

Review 2:The situation, very good and just in front a beautiful park

Review 3:Rushed reception staff. No towels in my room when I arrived. No soap in basin soap dispenser,Faulty table lamp.Faint smell of cigarette smoke in the evening.Room right next to cleaning staff's storeroom.

Review 4:General layout,Breakfast.Gom a good restaurant on hotel premises.

Review 5:Mattress very bad, very little sleep for Two nights, reported it to hotel 1st and second day was not changed until 3rd day Like to sleep with window open unable Same with TV not working property In my option not a 4 star rating.

Review 6:None that I can remember.

Review 7:The overall experience. The location, the staff were very friendly, breakfast was good, oh, and the fact that they had parking available for your car. Wifi available in your room, as well as in the rest of the hotel, for free.

Review 8:Very small single room, breakfast with few options, safe only with a key (no code)

Review 9:Location close to a nice park, very clean, room available before lunchtime, good wifi

Review 10:It was hard to find without sat nav. The car park was a nightmare to drive in to or out of, very very tight with only an inch either side of the car to go through arches. Parking spaces small & area cramped.

Review 11:The hotel was very elegant & the man on reception very helpful.

Review 12:Breakfast not included, 8 euros is expensive for Tenerife average prices. It is a nightmare to find a park near the hotel. The private hotel parking cost 6 euro per day and often full.

Review 13:Confortable, big room. Free Wifi Staff at the reception very kind

Review 14:needs a bit of refurbishment, a bit noisy (you hear the doors of the other rooms)

Review 15:Location, in a neighborhood with lots of restaurants, next to a wonderful park, very friendly and helpful staff

Review 16:Booked a room with crib. They gave us a room second floor on side wherethe clubs are. Could not sleep due to all the noisefrom clubs. Disgusting toilet.

Review 17:Not much

Review 18:-small swiming pool -no gym

Review 19:-the hotel is well located in a quite place close to the parc sanabrina -is about 15 mn in a car from north airport -about 15 to 20 mn walking from down town in placa espana , museo, el cortes ingles,auditorio,.... comfortabe bed , ckeaniness, and good staff;

Review 20:Anywhere we went in Santa Cruz, the people serving us were so friendly - taxi drivers, staff in bars & restuarants. The people in Taburiente were the same, they smiled all the time and always tried to help us. The lady at the bar (halfway down the main hotel corridor) wanted to call the techical expert to assist us when we had a query on watching a Rugby World Cup game, but there was no need, we got it on Canal + (channel 2). We got a great deal for 2 nights at the hotel, and would love to come back again. The aircon in the room was spot on, and the pool and jacuzzi on the rooftop has to be experienced, along with the fantastic view!

Review 21:Rooms bit dated and our room had no natural sunlight so our room was quite dark (room 308) Very tight car park so a small car is recommended if driving.

Review 22:Excellent rooftop pool with towels provided. Gym is also well equipped. Didn't use sauna but looked clean and located inside gym. Comfortable and clean beds. Bathroom is clean. Shower with good water pressure. Air conditioning works well. Excellent and safe location close to lots of eateries and 10 min easy walk from town. Friendly staff willing to help.

Review 23:Excellent situation, next to a park, close to city center (a short walk away from center). Great breakfast, very kind, helpful and smiling employees. They offered, free of charge, a larger room as we travelled with a baby, which helped us a lot. Tehy alos provided a baby cot and the room had a large twin bed in case the baby did not accept slewping in thw cot. Please give a special hello to Teresa (from the restaurant) from our baby, Radu ;-)

Review 24:Chose superior room stated there was a patio on the website reason I booked room No patio room looked out onto street at the back of hotel club kept us up till 4 in morning pool was shut for refurbishment another reason I booked hotel breakfast awful won't be back

Review 25:Lovely big room very clean nice staff

Review 26:Parking in their garrage is a challenge.

Review 27:This hotel is great! Good localization, close to park, we went to center by foot. The service is excellent and they hale upgrated our room :)

Review 28:3 bed room, a little smaller than the previous one we have had. Pity about the lack of a kettle and tea/coffee

Review 29:Garden rooms are tranquil and on the ground floor offer a "patio experience" Breakfast as always was excellent

Review 30:Good stable AC and wifi in my quiet room. Very friendly staff - went out of their way to make everything easy, even promtly fixed my broken pc cable! Great central location by the lovely park. Highly recommend!!!

Review 31:Wi-fi was poor and had limit in 200 sessions. When hotel hosted some events it was impossible to connect to internet.

Review 32:We were with 1 year old baby and everything was good for us in this respect.

Review 33:A quite enjoyable hotel, but the episode of the "crawling cereals" is a marked false note, which I will not be capable of forgetting for a good while...

Review 34:Great place, just insanely beat up. I would love to know what happened, because the place looks like there was a riot and then little money left to fix the place back up. The elevator for example was filled with graffiti and broken lamps... That's not a big deal, but it just explains what I mean - it doesn't go along with the price and quality of the amenities. Just a very strange experience. That being said, if they fixed it up again this place would be a huge winner.

Review 35:Room nr. 210, which had no view at all, only to a little beton courtyard and we had booked 2 nights. The service in the restaurant - a woman with glasses and long dark hair was arrogant and it was a bad experience.

Review 36:The food in the restaurant was very god:-) and the Nice woman in the reception:-)

Review 37:We asked for two things - quiet room & a nice view - we got neither! Astonishingly, they put us in a room next to one being renovated - power tools, hammering - the works. Nice view - no; not the garden, some grotty side street with bin collections. I think the hotels ignore any requirements that come via booking.com. I shall do my utmost to avoid booking.com in future.

Review 38:comfortable room

Review 39:Wi-Fi is very annoying and temperamental. You can hear the TV in adjacent bedrooms. The garage is difficult to access and scary to manoeuvre in.

Review 40:Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were pretty good. Overall, relaxing and comfortable.

Review 41:Hotel switches of air-conditioning, so the rooms are cold in winter. There was brown water coming out of the shower and the staff didn't seem to care.

Review 42:Central location.

Review 43:The double-glazing did nothing to suppress street noise...lots of loading and unloading of lorries...bars emptying-out etc. The room was cleaned well each day, but the shower area looked grubby courtesy of mildewed sealant/grouting. The couch/sofa-bed also looked grubby as did the blanket stored in the wardrobe which we chose to use. Breakfast was varied and with good choice...but the machine-provided coffee was awful and, surprisingly, and on a number of occasions, the crockery was found to be dirty and chipped. For the record, our email (via Booking.com) detailing a couple of requests (room preference and car parking) were not replied to by the Hotel.

Review 44:Taburiente presents itself as a modern, stylish Hotel...and on the surface that's what it is. The Reception/bar areas are quite impressive and our room (1 level above basic) was large and cleaned well. The Receptionist who greeted us on arrival (late pm on 22nd Jan) was everything anyone could expect...friendly, helpful and very very pleasant. Sadly on other days, the males of the species were a tad more officious.

Review 45:The breakfast was terrible, at least if you want bread for breakfast, as the bread was so dry and hard you could hardly chew it (every day). You had to cue to the coffee and tea water machine, small cups and only Lipton yellow + some green and fruit tea to choose from (please add REAL black tea that tastes like tea!). Juice not natural and very sweet, more like orange lemonade. After 3 days we skipped hotel breakfast and went to a cafe, which was MUCH better value for money. The cleaning of the rooms was perfectly fine, only sometimes the beds were made in the morning, but towels changed in the afternoon and such. Wifi was ok in the room but quite slow.

Review 46:Hotel is situation close to the very nice Tropical park. Calm surroundings and still 10-15 min walking to shopping and restaurant areas. Nice rooftop pool and jacuzzi. We paid about 70 Euros per night for a standard room without breakfast and I think this is probably appropriate from an international perspective if you want a medium size, modern hotel (read: not a charming, personal hotel). Addition: Please don't miss Restaurant El Porton on the street behind the hotel. Really genuine Canary food and very nice staff. Try their meat, fried Canary cheese, tomato-avocado-onion salad and the Lemon sorbet.

Review 47:Room was extremely dark the one window had no light at all through it as it was facing the inside of the hotel, rather claustrophobic.

Review 48:Cleanliness, staff, location

Review 49:We were first given a very small room where we could not fit a baby cot, despite that we informed the hotel in advance and having booked a superior room. We had to spend quite some time sorting this out. Upon checkout, I had to pay the amount in my home currency leaving the conversion to the hotel's bank, even though I asked to pay in EUR.

Review 50:Excellent location opposite a beautiful park with several good restaurants nearby. Our superior room was spacious and comfortable. We had some difficulties at check-in that were eventually sorted out by the helpful lady at the reception.

Review 51:The flushing noise in the bathrooms in the old part of the hotel is very loud and can be heard across the hallways

Review 52:I come very often to Santa Cruz and always stay at this hotel because of its quiet location by the park and its friendly reception staff

Review 53:too single beds put together does not count as a double bed. no floor map anywhere in the hotel, the space composition is a little bit confusing. I have reserved a parking space while book on this website but the hotel did made the reservation for me. we had to park in a much more expensive parking garage. booking.com's parking reservation box somehow doesn't work on this hotel. breakfast was not very nice, not many fresh fruits. take us some time to find the place, somehow tomtom 's location is wrong

Review 54:clean, fair price, great location. recommend the restaurant nearby called cocina urbana, best food quality and quantity in santa cruz, very nice wine and reasonable price.

Review 55:the wifi in the room is poor and the login procedure is painfull and not allways working.

Review 56:location, just across the park, close to center but in a quiet zone, very clean and helpfull personell

Review 57:The water in the pool was cold like the Atlantic ocean in the winter so please upheat the pool for a more pleasant swim. LOL.

Review 58:The pool area at the roof was really good . The pool manager took sample from the water in the pool plenty of times to ensure good quality and like the rest of the hotel it was very clean all over. Keep up that good work.

Review 59:Jacuzzi never got above 27c, two single beds jammed together, yellow hot shower water, NO WIFI IN ROOM, ice cold eggs, sausage, bacon...skip the breakfast, maintenance racket. In short the hotel is not a place to hang out although it could be.

Review 60:The price was okay and the lobby was impressive. The staff was warm and helpful, spoke English fluently. Nice location, easy to get around.

Review 61:Food was good value Right next to a park and 5 mins into town My room was above the private party room but was resolved.

Review 62:Facilities were great all round and good place to work After complaining about 6 hours of a booming disco on my last night I was moved to a luxury suite. Could sunbathe on roof terrace if that's your thing

Review 63:Having to pay for the car park. The charges were more than it was quoted but didn´t realise till we left the hotel.

Review 64:Everything about this hotel. Very ultra modern, very clean, Lovely room and very large bathroom. Lots of little places to sit in the hotel. Would definately come back again

Review 65:I was given no choice in the currency my credit card was charge. I was told the bank they used always does the conversion ie no choice to pay in euros and leave MY credit card company to do the conversion. This happened on my stay last year.

Review 66:The excuse given by the reception to my request to pay in euros with my credit card

Review 67:Street view and no balcony in our room.

Review 68:Very kind and helpful staff! Superior room is lovely with a modern decor! Great breakfast buffet! We liked the lounge bar. Pool terrace. Excellent location near a park.

Review 69:The back street has noisy restaurants and bars near by- the sleep was almost impossible. When they finally calmed at 5AM, an hour later something went wrong in the kitchen (not necessary the hotel's but very likely) and the room was filled with the smell of burnt food.

Review 70:The staff was friendly, the location in the city is very good, the roof terrace with pool and bubble bath is a honeypot for kids.

Review 71:The jacuzzi is in reality tiny and always occupied. Not really a big minus overall thought!

Review 72:We firstly booked at a standard room wich was tiny and asked to upgrade to a deluxe one. The room was awesome with a small balcony and nicelly decorated. Breakfast area was very nice with a big variety of choices.

Review 73:Small maintenca matters not attended to (e.g. cracked shower tray - windows not closing properly which is an issue if you are in a room where the two nightclus are.

Review 74:Ambiance, decor, staff, location. Breakfast.

Review 75:The rooftop jacuzi did not work which i was really disappointed about and the street outside was quiet noisy with no view but the noisy traffic

Review 76:The staff were lovely and very helpfull, the hotel was spotless and comfy beds. the dining room was spotless and good choice of breakfast but hot food could have been warmer

Review 77:AC temperature was not adjustable and a bit noisy during function. Some decoration aspects in the cordior should be improoved, specially carpets in the stairs. Bathroom should need some attention in the ceiling and arround the bathtub was some mouldiness.

Review 78:Very nice hotel, with very good-quality relation. Stuff at reception very kind and helpful, with a constant maintaince person available. (never saw that before even in much higher qualified hotels) Restaurant and Breakfast are also to recommend despite plenty of offers in the neighbourhood. Outside acoustic insolation OK. very nice green park in front of the hotel.

Review 79:The position of the hotel near the park

Review 80:We loved the location

Review 81:A bit noisy room

Review 82:Location close to small botanic garden

Review 83:The room was ridiculously warm

Review 84:The location; decor; speediness of check-in and check-out

Review 85:Staff very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and directions to shops etc. Helped me print my boarding pass

Review 86:The fridge does not work very well

Review 87:The location

Review 88:the non-smoking room was most likely a smoking room in the past

Review 89:good breakfast, location near center

Review 90:Parking is small and it is difficult to move.

Review 91:Pool on the roof is the best.

Review 92:Fridge in the room was not working. After informing the reception nothing happened.

Review 93:Staff at the reception was nice.

Review 94:Staff nice. Rooms not too secure Poor comfor Only average food if that

Review 95:The parking is quite difficult as you have to drive under the building. If you have a large car you may struggle.

Review 96:Very friendly, helpful staff

Review 97:parking 6eur

Review 98:everything

Review 99:Fantastic location for Santa Cruz - shops, restaurant and cafes. Proximity to the park is great advantage too.

Review 100:Everyting else.

Review 101:Very satisfied. Parking difficult. Streets in Santa Cruz too narrow. Not enough parking facilities.

Review 109:Wifi did not work in our room

Review 110:Park and spa pool

Review 111:difficult to park a car

Review 112:pool on the roof

Review 113:Location etc

Review 114:Staff very friendly and helpful, lady travelling on her own and felt safe

Review 115:The room size, the bathroom was different than what is shown at the Website. Parking was not free. Breakfast was poor.
