Reviews for A Cheda

Review 1:Only staying one night!

Review 2:The efficiency and friendly helpfulness of the staff, the outstanding food in the restaurant, the general ambiance which encouraged us all to relax and all at a price which was excellent value for money.

Review 3:- Little things like having to bring a token to the front desk in order to get towels or mosquito repellent make this feel like a much lower class of hotel than it is - Very expensive rooms and they don't offer a free breakfast? - No services provided to get to town - it's a long walk - Basic services are lacking and staff is fairly rude

Review 4:A Cheda is a nice property with nice facilities and decent rooms

Review 5:Far far overpriced suite based on last minute booking. Breakfast and dinner OK but too expensive compared even to meals in Norway! Grounds flower and vegetable gardens need extendive maintenance. Every hidden corner of grounds contained debris. Small staff appeared overworked not genuinely caring. Also construction disruptive.

Review 6:Intimate restaurant under the stars service for full house of 30 managed like a symphony by 2 excellent servers. Room interior decor chic. Cute little pool appears to be their claim to fame.

Review 7:The location does require a car, which we did not organise, and one therefore had to organise taxis . However the hotel did offer to organise car hire for us so they cannot be faulted for that.

Review 8:The service was to begin with a little slow although we were there at the end of the season. However when this was pointed out it was immediately rectified and was exemplory. The standard of food in the Restaurant Gourmand was exceptional for both lunch and dinner - some of the best meals we have had had in truth!.

Review 9:The bed for a couple was on the small side. They do not provide tea/coffee making facilities which is extraordinary for a 4* hotel. They do not speak English which was a little tricky especially when trying to work out the menu's!

Review 10:Lovely surroundings and very peaceful. The pool & sunbeds were very relaxing. The service was excellent and they even turn down your bed in the evening! The restaurant is gorgeous, the food delicious and the waiters outstanding although very expensive. Loved the wifi

Review 11:That we had to fight mosquito's at night

Review 12:Creativity of the host to create a cosy atmosphere like special musical events before dinner Superb and prompt service, anticipating all our needs Smile on François' face all the time at breakfast

Review 13:Service was sometimes a bit too over the top and we felt push to eat at their restaurant, also a little bit expensive.

Review 14:Beautiful gardens and pretty atmosphere. Excellent villas very near to Bonifacio,

Review 15:You nead a car if you Want to go to the city bonofacio but one of the Staff took us to the fairy for free. We enjoyd out stat om a cheda.

Review 16:The nice rooms. The garden and the pool.

Review 17:This was a magnificent place -- individual bungalows, perfect restaurant (breakfast, and an incredible dinner), attentive and kind staff. I'd go back in a flash.

Review 18:Restaurant was a bit too expensive. Also the menu good also have been in english.

Review 19:Very friendly and pleasant hotel. Although a car is a must the location is central. Excellent food and service. If I am in the area again I will be back to stay.

Review 20:Pricey and one evenings food was not good, I suspect because more people ate there that night than expected.

Review 21:It is a small hotel which is very comfortable and the staff are very helpful. I have been there before and will go again not only because of the hotel but the beautiful country around that part of southern Corsica

Review 22:Some distance from Bonifacio. Room a bit small

Review 23:Restaurant was surprisingly good.

Review 24:Cabin type accommodation was on a path with frequent passers by.

Review 25:Very peaceful location in rural setting. Hotel provided a shuttle into Bonifacio.

Review 26:Everything. From the location to the services, room, everything is perfect

Review 44:cozy / beautiful room(seperated house). warm swimming pool, jacuzzi. nice garden, kind staff. Good wifi(fast) Except the breakfast, everything was perfect.

Review 45:Nothing

Review 46:Beautiful gardens, attractively querky room with comfortable bed and sofa. Terraces at both front and bad, good pool. Lovely food. Friendly staff.

Review 47:Somewhat dependant of car, as it is 25-30 minute walk to town. Taxis is very difficult to come by as almost everybody drive, and when we booked one it was very expensive! Not the best of chairs on the terasse but that was a minor detail really

Review 48:The hotels gardens and public areas were lovely, so were the staff. They even drove us down to the town one evening when no taxis were available. Smashing breakfast with lots of local produce. Rooms were clean and lovely, we got upgraded to a comfort duplex so had plenty of space. We had a great time in the hotel :-)

Review 49:Getting into Bonifacio for the evening/ day is not too difficult; you can park during the day, but for taxi you need to book both outward trip and return in advance.

Review 50:We were lucky to be upgraded to the best suite - wiht private sauna, whirlpool, living room, terrace, separate balcony. amazing! Very tasty local breakfast

Review 51:Beds are too small, and the shower is not ideal. If you are over 6 foot, you will struggle here.

Review 52:Very quaint property, with a limited number of rooms and a superbly relaxed and silent atmosphere. Perfect for relaxing.

Review 53:The room was a little cramped

Review 54:The staff made us feel personally welcome The quality, freshness & flavour of the food The very relaxing & attractive gardens and facilities were well designed & maintained

Review 55:A little expensive, rooms are a too small

Review 56:Most things especially location and facilities
