Reviews for Hotel Rural La Casa Amarilla

Review 1:Carlos was very friendly. The hotel is in the middle of a banana plantation . The building, garden, and pool are lovely. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast was great. Free bottle of wine in the room, and free bananas!

Review 2:Nothing other than Bed was a little harder than used to.

Review 3:Beautiful colonial style property in wonderful setting very close to Garachico. Pool, free use of bikes. Spacious room with own sitting room & fridge. Breakfast. Huge bathroom with wonderful shower.

Review 4:A small disadvantage: only wifi in the main building, and not in the bedroom. But the main building was real charming, and you could drink there coffee and tea (no extra charge).

Review 5:The location was amazing! The breakfast was fantastic; fresh and lots of choice. The staff was real friendly! I recommand this accommodation! Is was a great experience!

Review 6:Hard to find (position was completely wrong in Google Maps). Our beds were not made after the first night.

Review 7:The accommodation and the service were excellent. The house is in a super quiet location in the middle of a banana plantation. We had great dinners in a nearby restaurant (Mundial 82).

Review 8:If you like bananas, this is the place to be! although the plantations are hampering the sea view.

Review 9:Hospitality and very good breakfast; village restaurant on walking distance. Interesting hiking trails in the neighbourhood.

Review 10:Somewhat difficult entrance.

Review 11:Atmosphere of the old house. Very large room/ bedroom with coffee, tea and bananas all day. Very good breakfast. Nice staff.

Review 12:The house might be a bit difficult to find without a gps. You have to drive between high walls (of the plantation) before arriving at the house, which might feel a bit awkward at first.

Review 13:The finca is nicely situated in the middle of a huge banana plantation. Quiet location, good for exploring the north west of Tenerife. Comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast buffet. Nice 'common room'. It'a a pity the wifi only works in the common room (which is mentioned in the hotel description, so we knew that!) but the good thing is that it works very well! We had a very pleasant stay!

Review 14:The outside rooms aren't cozy and don't have wifi.

Review 15:We liked the location near the sea, and the hacienda. The house is quite pretty but the rooms outside the house are not so confortable and cozy (feel quite cold). The staff gave us a bottle of wine as courtesy, nice touch.

Review 16:The location was wonderful, beautiful flowers, easy to visit the northern Coast and Teno national park. Tea and coffee available at all times, free. Excellent breakfasts.

Review 17:Very friendly staff, beautiful setting, comfortable rooms, very generous breakfast, peace and tranquility

Review 18:Sofisticated procedure of getting in.

Review 19:Everything: surroundings, hospitality, authenticity, breakfast, bananas :)

Review 21:amazing landscape great location friendly staff great breakfast

Review 22:north Tenerife weather is cold in march, had to drive an hour every day to get the sun.

Review 23:everything about it

Review 24:the situation on a banana plantation the colonial style of the building

Review 25:GPS coordinates need to be improved in website.

Review 26:All were wonderful. Very pleased with experience. + Free coffee, tea, bicycles and bananas.

Review 27:Free bike rental, beautiful cliffside paths.

Review 28:the tranquility but still close to some great places to eat.perfect for walking, cycling sightseeing.

Review 29:Staff was very attentive to our needs with young child (1 year and half). The place and the village nearby are quiet. We highly recommend this hotel !

Review 30:There was nothing we really did not like.

Review 31:The beautiful location in the middle of the banana trees. And the nice old furniture in the old building itself.

Review 32:Excelent place for those who prefer silence and old style. Personal are very helpful and nice, breakfast is tasty and varios. During the whole day you can take a cup of tea or coffee in the old dinning room, at the evening you can take a glass of wine on terrace or on open terrace on the roof. It's really a wonderful mix of old atmosphere and comfortable conditions. By the way I saw no TV and listen no radio during 10 days and for me it's a great plus :)

Review 33:Grate location, peacefull place. Perfect vecation....Real rural Tenerife, charming place with it oun charecter.Comfortable rooms and free bysicles ))))

Review 34:Boring breakfast, items wrapped in plastic

Review 35:Beautiful setting against between the sea and high-rising mountains amidst banana plantations; great atmosphere, kind staff

Review 36:There were some bugs in our room, which could have been a result of being in a banana field. There were not many electrical plugs in the room.

Review 37:Really interesting to experience a rural house in a banana field. Very private, but car needed for easy access. The breakfast was amazing and the staff person at breakfast-time was extremely accommodating.

Review 38:Friendly staff. Super nice Finca 200 Meters distance to the playa and the center of la caleta. Just a few rooms. Great Breakfast. The best Location we have been to. Very original.

Review 39:electric switches gave us a shock when switching on light inside front door. Bedside lights intermittent. All wiring a bit tricky. We stayed in the lovely outside barns. Could have done with a history sheet about the building.

Review 40:The lovely, lovely house and all its comfy furnishings. The wonderful friendly fun staff.

Review 41:Arrival was difficult and confusing as the plantation is behind locked gates and there was no warning when we booked that we would have to ring the owners on a mobile to get in. A heads up would have been good. They don't live there. You cannot expect a hotel but a unique place to stay run by locals who only speak spanish.

Review 42:Lovely colonial type building, very quiet, great views, no mass tourism

Review 43:Nothing

Review 51:Very different from the average accomodation in Tenerife - we loved it.

Review 52:Can only come by car. Nothing is in the village.

Review 53:The hotel is located among banana trees, very calm, big room.
