Reviews for Hotel B Paris Boulogne

Review 1:The light of the room, specially the bathroom could be improved. There is no additional light for shaving.

Review 2:Good connection to metro. The room is nicely renovated, comfortable.

Review 3:The hotel is a bit far from the Paris center. It took about half an hour with metro to reach my most destinations.

Review 4:The staff helped me a lot in finding the taxi back to the airport and planning the route so as to pick my friend up. We managed to catch our plane, thank God.

Review 5:Perhaps un interrupted Wifi could be helpful. Also I wasn't clear that they charge for water until I was checking out. Perhaps the counter staff can have more information related to tourists.

Review 6:Location. Could jog and back from Eiffel Tower @10km both ways. Free wifi. Clean room.

Review 7:We get lost before arrived at the hotel, maybe put more details about the hotel location, like picture of the road, signs, etc.

Review 8:The friendliness of the staffs and the comfortableness of the room is great for one night stay.

Review 9:Rooms small and bathroom very tight (this is Paris) with less than great shower. Breakfast also below par although slightly cheaper than norm.

Review 10:Staff pleasant and helpful. Room clean with better than average TV.

Review 11:A little out of the way in location to everything but nearby a subway station.

Review 12:Friendly staff at the front desk around the clock. Very comfortable beds and rooms. Great bar on the block that speak English

Review 13:The bathroom is small. well very small but for the value of Money ist great

Review 14:The stuff are very friendly and the Hotel is very suitable of you are the type of solo traveller:

Review 15:- Room was very basic and not enough for 3 people for sure (thought it was a triple room) - Price of one night was more in the range of 3-4 star hotels. This was a two star hotel. - Staff could have been more helpful at the breakfast as we didn't know french.

Review 16:- Location was good for our purpose - Bathroom was decent

Review 17:Small lift and uninviting breakfast room

Review 18:Comfortable room; friendly staff; excellent air conditioning in the bedroom; good location with underground station close and easy travel into the centre of Paris; excellent value for money

Review 19:Excellent location if visiting Roland Garros for French Open tennis tournament. 15 walk up Victor Hugo Ave to venue. Staff very helpful. Hotel very clean. Some nice restaurants within 2 blocks.

Review 20:The facilities are not in the best shape, the room was not as clean as you would expect. It may have been the time of the year I visited, but there are some things to improve.

Review 21:The Hotel location is good, the staff is helpful and friendly.

Review 22:Paper walls Vending machine broken. I was at the same hotel a month and a half ago and it was already broken. I could only get water from the reception

Review 23:Comfortable Clean Price Location TV

Review 24:Just to be a little picky, the wi-fi provided needed details to be re-entered every 30-60 minutes. Really have no complaints about my stay.

Review 25:Much cheaper than the other hotels in the area, a 15 minute walk from the Parc des Princes, hour and half from the Eiffel Tower / €15 taxi and 2 minutes from McDonalds and Kfc. No complaints with anything.

Review 26:very small batroom, almost uncomfortable, the room eventhough new and clean - had a really bad smell, rather far from the center

Review 27:its ok for the price - given its paris (paid 50E/night), close to the subway station

Review 28:The lift wasn't working so I had to carry bags up around 5 flights of stairs. there was no sign of anything happening to repair the lift so I suspect it's been like that for a while and will continue to be broken. bathroom area very tiny.

Review 29:I was NOT AT ALL impressed to return from work one mid-evening to my ground floor, courtyard-facing room to find the windows wide open and presumably had been all day and evening since the point that the cleaning staff had opened them. Hmmmmmmm.

Review 30:Basic but clean and functional room, with friendly, helpful desk-staff - overall, absolutely fine for the price if you're looking for a "clean room, comfortable bed, hygenic toilet".

Review 31:single room very tiny. Hardly any room to move. Elevator broken, TV channels didn't work

Review 32:Clean, simple interieur, fairly quiet at the time I was there. No chair to sit in, just a bed.

Review 33:Some of the other hotel users were a bit inconsiderate by being noisy but not the fault of the hotel. Bigger towels would not go amiss either.

Review 34:Closeness to where we needed to be. Polite and friendly reception staff.

Review 35:For a 2 star hotel this is really good. I've stayed in a few in Paris and this is easily the best. My 2nd time here and I will return. Beds are really comfortable, AC and nice shower rooms. Breakfast is great too. I fill up on all the different options. Very close to metro stop too so accessible to anywhere in Paris.

Review 36:Bad wifi

Review 37:No fridge.

Review 38:Very clean.

Review 39:The room is small. You can here the cars and people in the street

Review 40:Good location. Clean

Review 41:Hotel noisy - people slamming doors. Could hear traffic outside. Bathroom very small and not particularly private.

Review 42:Not a good breakfast, tiny bathroom.

Review 43:Location

Review 44:Shower drain don't work well. I had to worrying about flooding the room during shower.

Review 45:Location and availability

Review 46:The room is small, but not crowded. Comfortable bed, great cleaning service, very close to the subway

Review 47:Bathroom is really small for single bedroom but the double one is okay

Review 48:Wifi staff location & cleanness

Review 49:Water pressure low for shower

Review 50:The staff are friendly and helpful. Excellent

Review 51:Very helpful staff, we could use the fridge for storing baby food, the baby bed had a real mattress, very quite room.

Review 52:Wifi was rather slow to get started

Review 53:Super comfortable location for the French Open

Review 54:Small bathroom, small room.

Review 55:It was very near the Roland Garros.

Review 56:The wifi was excellent even on the fourth floor. Staff were friendly on the times I spoke with them. Room cleaned daily and comfortable size.

Review 57:Really small and no tea and coffee.

Review 58:Friendly staff

Review 59:The front desk staff were great. Rooms and bathrooms are small but very clean.

Review 60:No toothpaste

Review 61:Very accessible

Review 62:The room was a bit too cold and the air conditioning was quite loud.

Review 63:Very friendly staff, clean rooms.

Review 64:Tiny bathroom, poor quality mattress, poor soundproofing.

Review 65:Not expensive, close to metro station, close to a parking

Review 66:pretty basic but considering crazy hotel prices in Paris it is fair value for money

Review 67:clean room - friendly staff

Review 68:The walls are a bit thin

Review 69:Overall good

Review 70:Price

Review 71:The really bad wifi

Review 72:I lived the hotels location easy to find from the metro

Review 73:room was a little small, didn't affect our stay as we only slept in room

Review 74:staff helpful, rooms clean and bed comfortable

Review 75:the front desk staff, very helpful!!!

Review 76:Having to leave the key card at reception when going out.

Review 77:The price and the location.

Review 78:Very small room, but you have all that is needed. No shelves to put your clothes, but hanger closet was available. I would have prefered shelves. Anyhow it seems like that this is Paris : small rooms...or too expensive.

Review 79:Very clean, big screen tv, big bad, close to metro station Marcell Semblat, nice personell. Towels, hair driyer, soap were included, room was cleaned each day, very nice neighborhood safe and away from touristic chaos in the center. Close to many shopping stores, supermarkets, patisery and others (Sephora, celio, naf naf, mac donalds, kfc, brasseryes, etc). Almost all the stores are getting closed at 19:30. Here you will see the real Paris life away from touristic chaos and crowd. The metro is very close and from there you have direct line to trocadero for Eifell tower, Francklin Rosevelt for Champs Elisee. From CDG airport terminal 2, using RER and Metro, you get to the hotel in ~1 hour. RER to Gare de nord (RER B), then line 4 to Strassbourg Saint Denis and then line 9 to Marcell Semblat. To get to Verssailes (Chatou), get the metro from Marcell Semblat to Pont de Sevre, and take the bus 171 directly to verssailes (~30 min bus trip very nice). The ticket for the bus costs 2Euro/person one way.

Review 80:Smallest lift ever. The gentleman on duty that night pushed us in the lift and said" bye, bye." When we went back to get our bags he was there again. Acted as if he had no record of our stay. Had to ask over and over for them. It was the worst service I have ever experienced at a hotel. Simply awful!

Review 81:Hotel was clean. Room was small but to be expected in Paris area. .Staff on duty was kind to allow us to store our bags while sightseeing during the day. Took the time to show us map and help us plan our route that day.

Review 82:small room, noise from other guests while walking through corridor late at night

Review 83:very clean, fast free wifi, easy to get to from metro, ideal location for PSG and Roland Garros, 20 minute walk along 1 road.

Review 84:WiFi not always functioning. Room small but then for the price can't expect more. However always clean. Good helpful staff from beginning to end.

Review 85:It was a good location for watching tennis at Roland Garros; leisurely 25 min stroll. But an hour on metro to centre of tourism venues. Still it was all easy enough. Also easy train trip to Versailles close by. Excellent supermarket, and a laundromat, three blocks down.

Review 86:As usual for Paris more like an hostel. Unfortunately there is still no balance between price and furniture. 5 stars in Paris should be 1-2 in all other EU countries.

Review 87:Based in a nice area in Billancourt. Not bad for our stay.

Review 88:Wifi , very complicated access Deco of the room = absent !

Review 89:All was "very" clean (rare in Paris...) 3 beds in 1 large room = OK (also rare in Paris) Price = fair

Review 90:The room was very compact but adequate for what we needed the bathroom was very small but for the amout of time spent there was perfect.we were overlooking the main road and didn't find the noise a problem .The position was great for the metro and the restaurants close by. The room was cleaned every day

Review 91:As mentioned, the free internet needs to be confirmed each hour by watching a advert. But there is still option to purchase a login free of this.

Review 92:The hotel has good position if you need to stay Boulogne, there is also access to Metro line in walking distance (5min). The hotel is situated in an old building with all the narrow corridors and minuscule lift that stops on mid-floors. For me it not really matter and I liked the character, but for some it might be a problem. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice and seemed recently renovated also including the small bathroom.

Review 93:The map given didn't really help much and I needed to use my mobile phone to find the hotel.

Review 94:Simple to book in and out. The receptionist was polite.

Review 95:Although evidently renovated, room looked wornout, with a stench of cigarette smoke

Review 96:Friendly staff, clean and well equipped bathroom, proximity of public transportation, good value for money

Review 97:very small bathroom with sliding door that did not fully cover opening small room lift on half landing not on floor of bedroom

Review 98:Clean hotel Friendly english speaking staff on main road near metro station Good value

Review 99:Hotel is old and dirty! The relation between price and quality is negative!!! THIS HOTEL LOOKS NICE ONLY ON THE PICTURES. I paid for it 140 EUR per night but it was worth only 50 EUR a night. Very dirty, very uncomfortable, small, BATHROOM IS A JOKE!!! It is so small that u actually standing in the room and wash your face in the lavabo! The hall is awfull. They asked me to pay straight away and i did so. But when I went to my room, the only thing what i was thinkiong of was to RUN AWAY! But I couldn't, coz it was too late. I do not recommand this hotel to anybody. For exactly the same price you can stay at the hotel close to the Eiffel Tour. I regret every minite i spent there!

Review 100:nothing

Review 101:- double room was very small - the elevator only stops in the middle between two floors so you need to carry your luggage on the stairs - while the WiFi is for free, it's really slow and you need to connect again every 60 minutes as it gets disconnected automatically - reception will charge you in the arrival day while other hotels typically charge you the last day of your stay

Review 102:- reception was helpful with our questions sent in advance to our stay - the location is optimal

Review 103:The staff there are nice and friendly, treat you like family. Not a cold face and they all chat! The cleanliness was good, timely. Comfortable, privacy was good. We stayed for 3 nights and the value was much over what we spent. Location is good, it's on Metro 9, and easily connect to the scenery spots in downtown~ Wi-Fi was free. Plus, plenty of restaurants and a supermarket adjacent to it!!

Review 104:No fridge in room No direct lift to the rooms - made it inconvenient to carry heavy luggage to the rooms

Review 105:Value for money Proximity to metro, supermarket, eatries, tabac, etc Helpful staff

Review 106:The hotel is clean and design nice, space is bigger than I image. You won't feel stuff or too small. It's clean and new. The location maybe a bit away from the sightseeing spots, but the metro is easy to access all those sites without too much transfer stops. The neighborhood is safe and has supermarkets and restaurants and great bakery shops just block away.

Review 107:Bathroom/Toilet far too small. Breakfast quite expensive for what was available. Not as good as Hotel Campanile, where I stayed last year.

Review 108:Nice and clean. Tidy. Convenient for my final location.

Review 109:Breakfast OK, but you could probably get more for your money in the nearby cafes.

Review 110:Clean, comfortable rooms - big enough for a few nights - and helpful staff. Technically outside Paris, but easy to get to Champs Elysees etc and a nice quiet, residential area (with shops and restaurants) close to the Metro. Perfect location for events at Longchamps & Roland Garros.

Review 111:The room was cramped, and the bathroom too small. The elevator didn't stop exactly on the floor where our room was, so we had to drag the luggage up a few stairs.

Review 112:The location was really good, with a lot of good restaurants and bakeries in the area, and the metro station only a few minutes away. The area was very busy, even at night. Early check-in was possible, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Review 113:I needed to book a hotel room last second, so I just picked this one because it was close to the downtown of Paris. I am so glad I was able to find this hotel. Seriously, no problems at all, really comfortable, the owner is a great guy, and the rooms are stylish. The food market was about a 3 minute walk from the hotel... Restaurants all around the hotel; so very accessible.... And by combination of walk and train, I was 20 min away from the Eiffel Tower! Overall, great experience and really glad I was able to find this hotel!

Review 114:Arrived once a bit late in the night and I had to wait a while until someone opened the door.

Review 115:Clean, comfortable and not too expensive. I recommend it.

Review 116:It is very noisy at the front of the building, but the prolonged door slamming of a large family party in several rooms was much more of a torment. I would have appreciated intervention by the staff, but they seemed oblivious

Review 117:Nice area, clean rooms with good air conditioning.

Review 118:Sounds and noises from outside as well as neighbouring rooms cannot be ignored, though it might be better than typical small hotels in the center of Paris...

Review 119:Very convenient location, 3 min from Marcel Sembat (M9) station. Many cafes and shops, restaurants. The room is a bit small (in particular the bathroom) but the furniture and the bed are quite clean.

Review 120:The Hotel is convenient to Banks, Supermarkets, shopping and foodCentres. For the Muslims, Halal food is within distance. Bus service isfrequent and takes to your destination such as Rolland Garros.

Review 121:The staff was great, understanding to one's needs. The location is good, near the metro, even though a little bit far from the centre. Very clean.

Review 122:The coffee at breakfast was probably amongst the worst I've tasted in France. There was no facility for a wake up call and, having spent 3 days during the wettest, coldest week at Roland Garros, tea and coffee making facilities would have been very welcome. These are however fairly minor niggles, apart from breakfast!

Review 123:I liked the price and the fact that it was on a direct bus route to Roland Garros. The room was clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and the receptionists were very helpful.

Review 124:In my business I rely on regular internet access. My room was on the fifth floor, where the wifi reception was weak. In fact the service reapeatedly went down.

Review 125:Convenient location.

Review 126:Very small. Temperature control is not great. Wake up call was missed one morning. Loudly empty trash at 6 am immediately outside the room.

Review 127:Excellent continental breakfast. Price. Staff was friendly

Review 128:The location is good if you don´t want to regularly visit the center of Paris. If you want, then it's a ~40mins trip until there, which is too much.

Review 129:The rooms are very modern and cosy, even-though they are small. The bathroom is really tiny but is functional, and the rooms are very clean.

Review 130:Internet firewall was annoying. Frequent dropout. (had to login 3 times to complete one short Skype call). Login page was buggy on mobile devices. Did not retain connection to mobile devices after sleep, requiring re-login and every time watching a 30sec movie apparently advertising Hoover vacuum cleaners for hair care, or filling in a questionnaire if the video refused to load. It is a French specific approach to internet service, but this implementation was particularly bad. Hotel itself was fine, but I'll look for a place with better internet service.

Review 131:Near my work.

Review 132:Sink is a tad small. My only dislike. Wifi a bit slow, but fine also!!

Review 133:Room was very clean and warm. Quiet also. Breakfast was very good. Goodvalue for € 8.00. Only a 5 min walk from Metro Marcel Sembat. Staffhelpful. I would stay again!!
