Review 2：The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beer was cheaper than in regular bars. The beds were so comfortable I did not want to leave!

Review 3：It's a shame the staff at Koks couldn't manage all the food at the hotel. The food in the bar/restaurant was atrocious.

Review 4：Koks Restaurant was a feast for all senses, especially taste. Truly exceptional food and a meal I'll remember forever. Dishes were all delicious, and all clever without being precious or pretentious. The wine pairings were perfect. And the staff were outstanding.

(despite being the same thing evey day) The evening posh restaurant they have (same location) was very costly but wonderful... and best thing is that we didn't have to walk home...

Review 13：The only thing is it the location, beautiful view of the town and harbor but a little too far for walking, the bus schedule is confusing and subject to change, taxis expensive. How delightful it would be if there was a free hotel shuttle to and from downtown, say once an hour?

Review 14：This is a big, modern hotel in the capital and I thought it lived up to it's 4 stars. Everything just right. I ate lots of gravlax a breakfast which was also top-of-the-line

Review 24：Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Whilst we were there, there was a Bridge tournament and some of the participants were rowdy and insolent which put a damper on our stay. We dined at Koks which is their upmarket restaurant. A wonderful meal but a little expensive. Their other dining option did not have a varied enough menu and so we had to catch a cab into town at DKK 100 each way to have a better menu. Perhaps a regular shuttle bus should be provided for Foroyer guests.

Review 25：Even the busses circulate arounf the town for free, thi service stops befor 6pm. Then you can choose between hiking up the mountain to the hotel or catch a taxi to get to the hotel. No German TV station, no pool.

Review 27：Our room was at the end of the building.... my mom who's 72 needed to have a break walking to our room and my 8 year old kept pn saying "where is our room?" Next time, I'll request for a room near the reception.

Review 63：The food served by the hotel is very expensive and not very good. The staff at the reception area restaurant are unhelpful and uncaring.

Review 65：The hotel is more a three star hotel and very expensive. However, in Faroer the standards are quite low, so this hotel is one of the best and still a quite modern business hotel. The room was not really clean, but ok. The double bed are actually two beds and move apart. Not really 4 star standard.

Review 66：For Faroer standard quite a good breakfast (fresh omelete. Some danish pastries, smoothies). The view over the bay of Torshavn is stunning, all rooms face the sea. The Koks restaurant in the hotel is excellent and even pricey definatly worth to go. The bar has real good coffee (compared to other filter coffee you usually get in Faroer).

Review 67：Due to lack of competition the hotel is too high priced in my opinion. Torshavn is not like New York, Paris, Hong Kong or London, but the room rate of hotel Foroyar is similar to these cities. I think also that the bar-restaurant could have a wider choice in the menu. There were only 5 choices for a main course (of which some dishes were regulary out of stock), 1 choice for a starter and 1 choice for a desert. This is can be better for a 4 star hotel, as it is a little effort to get more dishes on the menu. For sure if You take into account that the only alternative is a diner at the star restaurant of the hotel, where You could have a menu of 649 DKK (= 86 Euro or 120$ ) per person.

Review 68：This is the one and only serious hotel in Torshavn. The hotel is very clean, with a good service and breakfast. The rooms have all comfort You expect of a 4 star hotel.

For those who are planning to visit Torshavn, I highly recommend staying in hotel Foroyar and having dinner at Koks. You will be so impressed!

Review 79：The hotel is pretty far from town. We had a rental car so it was okay, but would not recommend someone to stay here without transportation. Also, the main restaurant offered just a set price meal which was extremely pricey. This meant the only alternative was the lobby bar which served a limited menu and was not that sympatico. Finally, the hotel is expensive.
