Review 1：Very close to the ferry terminal. Equally distant (a short 5min walk) to the 'center of town' or the shopping center. Very helpful & friendly staff

Review 2：The view is absolutely amazing from the feon facing room and all the staff were incredibly helpful. The owner even went to the store to buy a toothbrush for my colleague. Top notch service. I will be back again!

Review 5：The staff were not particularly friendly and whilst the hotel was functional, it was utilitarian to the point of being a hostel. Despite confirming a double bed twice, we were given a twin.

Review 6：The hotel was located a little way out of the main section of town which was a plus as it meant it was nice and quiet. The breakfast was good.

Review 7：Rooms have wafer thin walls so rooms are noisy. The owner attempted to overcharge myself and other guests by 900DKK, £GB90 for three nights. The reason was that the booking was during a 'football' weekend. Yet the booking.com cost was 2085DKK. The attempted charge was 2985DKK. The receptionist had to call the owner who then accepted the lower cost. Other guests were also being over-charged. Had to ask for a receipt which was not stamped by the hotel. Payment was 'demanded' on check-in. (Do not like being ripped off by a hotelier and to add when discussed with Faroese they were very embarrassed this was done.)

Review 9：Shower booth blocked (water not drained well). Will be very nice if early check in is possible (Ferry arrived so early and got no where to go...)

Review 11：Rooms were not very clean and rather small and spartan for the room rate. Room was not cleaned at all on one occasion (same on another day for another of our rooms). Reception was typically not staffed. Limited parking. No elevator.

Review 19：The hotel was ideally situated for having a hassle-free weekend to go exploring Torshavn and the surrounding area. The relaxed ambience of the hotel, and the friendly and the extremely helpful staff, allowed you to have greater freedom to do what you wanted to do - to visit and experience everything the Faroe Islands has to offer.

Review 27：Few minutes walk from the harbor or Skansin/Tonganes and a 15 min walk to Helipad. Car rental (cheap and flexible). Nice buffet breakfast. Warm room. Service is friendly even if the staff speaks better Swedish than English.

Review 28：Good location, a 10 minute walk from the center of Torshavn (if that). Close to lots of good restaurants, the sea view is amazing. Helpful front desk employees, peaceful. The hotel is basic, but it's comfortable and WiFi works everywhere.

Review 29：I didn't like the lack of soundproofing in the bedrooms! Nor did I like the fact that there is no-one to help you carry your large case up the stairs.

Review 65：Generally, the sea view is limited due to a building in front of this hotel. Stayed for two nights and the breakfast was much better on the first morning. I believe this is due to the number of guests staying in the hotel.

Review 66：My second stay at Hotel Styrem as I went to Gjogy for two nights. This time round a better room was given at the third floor with "sea view". Well, I must say it was comfortable to stay at Hotel Styrem.

Review 67：The room given was okay but there is this weird smell in the toilet. This hotel has a wooden interior structure and the toilet has this laminate over its wooden structures(e.g. floor and walls). So I believe that the stench might be due to the chemical reactions of wood and water.

The location of this hotel was a bit off but Torshavn is really small. But for those who use the Bus Terminal, this hotel is pretty good as it is very near to it.
