Reviews for Villa Benz Hotel garni
Review 1:The room slightly dated, but overall everything was great.
Review 2:The people who run the hotel are so nice and the room was very well equipped. Wifi was excellent
Review 3:Most welcoming helpful staff : very patient and thoughtful . Excellent breakfast . Easy to go into town on foot for good dinners recommended by staff . Rooms small , unavoidable but compensated by everything else .
Review 4:Small room and miniscule bathroom
Review 5:I was impressed that Frau Benz came out to welcome us and settle us in to our room in a friendly and courteous manner. Later she kindly moved her car so that we could park ours, free of charge, in the little parking area behind the hotel. We were in a room facing the busy street but this didn’t really worry us that much. The provision of ear plugs on the pillows was a thoughtful, if rather ominous gesture. We were really wondering how noisy it was going to get during our brief, one night stay. But in the end, on this point we had no problems. The room was small but had everything one should expect nowadays. The double bed was comfortable, the wooden furniture was well maintained and clean. The tiny bathroom was fully functional with enough towels and a small walk in shower cubicle. The only problem was that, given the heat on the day we visited and there being no real ventilation, excursions to this little room were as brief as necessity would allow… WiFi was free of charge and worked perfectly. The mini bar was (including numerous alcoholic drinks) – a godsend on this, one of the hottest days of the year so far. This is something that the larger hotel chains could copy. We also appreciated the ventilator fan which we kept going all night. We took our breakfast the next morning out on the little terrace behind the house. The gentleman who served us was friendly and made us feel at home. The breakfast buffet itself was a small but had a surprisingly rich collection of good, healthy food. We had more than enough to keep us going on the next leg of our journey. As to the location, we were able to find the Villa Benz quite easily. It is situated next to the Schloss gardens - there is a lovely walk close by for the dog so long as you keep it on the lead. We walked into town for our evening dinner - it's a comfortable 15 minutes away, just enough to work up an appetite going in and to walk off some of the excesses afterwards.
Review 6:We were there at a very hot time and did really miss air-condition over the nights
Review 7:The vicinity to the castle park with nice walks. The god service of the hotel and the personal touch.
Review 8:It's still a bit far from the downtown (which is in turn still a tiny one).
Review 9:The sincere and very helpful staff and also the cosy atmosphere of the hotel.
Review 10:There is nothing really I did not like
Review 11:The very friendly and professional welcome. All most pleasant, good and carefully presented room, good bed, small but good bathroom, great breakfast, all just the way I liked it. Extremely well located for visiting the Schloss-Garten of Schwetzingen. Good parking behind hotel.
Review 12:- not very large room and bathroom - not very luxurious breakfast
Review 13:Everything was OK. The owner is very helpful. There is a nice garden in the back. Breakfast was good and the room was clean. Parking is free. Fresh fruits in the room.
Review 14:The style, comfort, quality of welcoming (many small things like tissues, fruits, candy...)
Review 15:Basic but very clean. Friendly staff. Best location. Easy parking.
Review 16:The breakfast was at stadard level, but it's variety could be partly upgraded (e.g. more fresh vegetables and lactose free yoghurt) to be excellent as this small guesthouse itself.
Review 17:Frau Benz was very friendly and the service was excellent. Complimentary private car parking in the backyard, access cards to the beautiful Schlossgarten and use of the minibar.
Review 18:The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel provides a free pass to see the Schloss Garden, which is well worth it. The mini-fridge contents are complimentary, and the breakfast is delicious. The room was lovely and clean. They provided maps, writing paper, and envelopes. My Grammy said that the shower was one of the best she's experienced in a hotel. There was just enough private (and free) parking behind the villa. The location is great; it's a relatively short drive to Heidelberg and surrounding areas.
Review 19:Nothing to complain about
Review 20:Staff very proficient. Location across from schloss garden ideal. Breakfast one of the best I have experienced in Germany. Quiet
Review 21:Great location for easy transport into Heidelberg. Also for seeing the wonderful gardens opposite and within walking distance. Welcoming staff, clean and more than adequate breakfast with fresh produce.
Review 22:It was pleasant stay in such a charming hotel. Fresh fruits and drinks welcomes you in a room. A room was very clean and a plenty of hot water in a shower. We enjoyed a morning walk at a castle and breakfast in a hotel.
Review 23:A comfortable bed, breakfast, parking, free Wi-Fi Internet and whole lot of hospitality, including fruits and candies as a compliment on arrival: that's what you get when you book a room in this wonderful small hotel located almost in the heart of town in two steps from Schwetzingen park and castle. This is the place where we would be staying again. Additional gratitude to the mistress for providing us by entrance tickets to the park and printing for us our boarding passes!
Review 24:The small buffet breakfast was on the expensive side at 10 eurosper person
