Reviews for Boutique Hotel Yöpuu

Review 1:Restaurant was very good but expensive for a leisure trip Wifi was not powerfull

Review 2:The room and the bathroom were very nice Excellent breakfast Very friendly and attentive staff

Review 3:Little out dated room. Maybe Alvar Aalto represents old style for me.

Review 4:Excellent breakfast. One of best ones I have eaten so far. Fresh berries, super good porridge you name it. Good location. Friendly service. Free indoor parking.

Review 5:They don't have a lift but were eager to help with carrying my luggage up.

Review 6:Nice boutique hotel with a comfortable room. Location is OK. Staff was friendly and nice. They offer free parking, which is always great. Breakfast was nice.

Review 7:Can't think of much

Review 8:Pleasant decor, attentive staff. Occasionally boutique hotels don't feel suitable for children, but at Yopuu we felt our older children were very welcome.

Review 9:The room was very nicely decorated: stylish, comfortable and unique. The hotel was located in a quiet quarter yet close to the centre of the city. I really appreciated the very nicely represented breakfast with freshly baked bread and pies. You seldom get self made fresh rhubarb juice in a hotel. Wow! A great experience.

Review 10:TV Chanel Options very short.

Review 11:All perfect. Staff, cleaness, easy to find and parking. Great breakfest.... :-) Just a small note to the size of the room and WC quit small for XL persons. For me was perfect.

Review 12:There are free bookable private saunas with all needed amenities. Double or twin beds, as well as bath tub or shower is possible to choose. Rooms are of various styles, check and reserve the one suited to your taste. Rich breakfast with Finnish delicacies and sparkling wine and complimentary drink in the evening!

Review 13:Everything was nice.

Review 14:The hotel was really beautiful, nicely renovated from an old building. The breakfast was also perfect, with great local dishes. Room was clean and quiet.

Review 15:A bit pricy.

Review 16:I love the restaurant in that hotel. The food is amazing! We had the 8 course meal. Each meal was served with a different wine, and the waitress was expert in the subject, explaining us about all the possible scents and tastes we would experience. Prices for dinning are a bit high, but worth it. The hotel itself is no big deal. Nice room, comfortable bed, in downtown (close to everything you may need to buy). We went for sauna on the down floor, which was fine.

Review 17:-excellent breakfast (perch, gravlax, breadcheese) - friendly staff - cozy winebar - nice room with beautiful furniture -great location -free parking

Review 18:Variety and quality of breakfast was amazing when comparing to the chain hotels. Room was clean, fairly quiet and comfortable. Complimentary drink was served at the wine bar. Service was very professional. I was there for business but would recommend for couples also.

Review 19:There was no elevator, so we had to lug our baggage up a flight of stairs. The bar and restaurant are great, but pricey.

Review 20:The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The hotel is more like an inn, rather than a mega-hotel.

Review 21:Down/feather pillow. Even if the pillow was supposed to be allergic friendly, my eyes were swollen next morning.

Review 22:Lovely hotel! Charming, unique rooms. Possibility to reserve private turn in sauna is included in the room price, as well as wellcome drink in the lobby bar. Sparkling wine is offered free at breakfast (also non-alcoholic version). Breakfast was really nice and on-site fine dining restaurant Pöllöwaari was excellent!

Review 23:I liked everything! It's the best place to stay in Jyväskylä :)

Review 24:The location is great, the rooms are all different and the breakfast in awesome - they use local seasonal products and homemade juice, jam etc.

Review 25:Welcoming staff and wonderful breakfast.

Review 26:Location to the centre of town. Great staff/service.

Review 27:Very lovely hotel with supergood location and luxurious breakfast.

Review 28:expensive wine but that is true of all of Finland.

Review 29:Good location. Small friendly hotel, very good food.

Review 30:Cosy lounge/winebar. Very comfortable bed and linens. Enjoyable breakfast. Friendly staff.

Review 31:Good food and friendly staff

Review 32:Room full of light and Artek furnithure...Books in the room

Review 33:Staff was lovely and breakfast was the best we´ve had in Finland

Review 34:Just a lovely place with attentive staff and very good restaurant.

Review 35:The room was absolutely beautiful, the bed was like a cloud castle and the breakfast was delicious

Review 36:No elevator

Review 37:Quaint, clean, comfortable, helpful and friendly staff.

Review 38:Very classy place, one to go for in Jyväskylä. Hotel restaurant is high cuisine, rooms comfortable with personal style and modern functionality and the whole place has a very distinctive cozy feel to it. Good peaceful location in the city centre.

Review 39:Although there was a blizzard outside it was rather hot and stuffy in the rooms.

Review 40:Lovely themed rooms in a unique boutique hotel. I had the art nouveau room . . . Very nice.

Review 41:We were traveling for 3 weeks; so, the fact that there's no lift for travallers with heavy luggage, it's not pleasant and we must be fitted to pull them up the stairs.

Review 42:The dinner at the restaurant was superb! very well cooked, excelent presentation, excelent taste; a gourmet restaurant. beeing a boutique hotel, all the different rooms with its history is quite different and interesting

Review 43:In case elevator is needed, this hotel must be left out - otherwise Yöpuu is a perfect, small boutique hotel.

Review 44:Variety of home-made dishes at breakfast. Private, excellent Finnish sauna included. Very frindly staff. Laptop with printing facilities available at the corridor. Welcome drink offered in the bar. Room nicely furnished and decorated. Very cozy, pleasant place to stay indeed. I recommend - this was one of my all time favourites in every way.

Review 45:Somewhat small rooms, though beautifully decorated. Not enough parking space.

Review 46:Nice small place with friendly staff. Great breakfast. Perfect location for Jyväskylä, in the middle without the noise of traffic.

Review 47:Cliants smoking on the wine terrace. We stayed in the studio "50meters from the main building" Studio turned out to be an apartmentin a dull unpersonal apartment house. Very small bathroom with tinysauna. 250Euro fine for loosing the key (we did not!) writtenunnoticeably on the door. All this should be explained more clearly.

Review 48:Helpfull, competent, active staff. Delicious meals, breakfast buffetwith Finnish seasonal touches. Could be the best hotel experience weever had in Finland.

Review 49:Wonderful staff helped us with all the details of our stay! The sauna is amazing so be sure to reserve it. I also recommend dinner there. Excellent food and service.

Review 50:Very friendly staff, excellent gourmet restaurant, peaceful sleep in anice neighborhood, beautiful rooms, breakfast with sparkling wine and adear husband! What more can one wish! Absolutely the best hotel we havevisited in Finland!

Review 51:Restaurant slightly over formal.

Review 52:Lovely boutique hotel, friendly staff, clean modern room. Free drink on arrival - nice bar area. Good breakfast. Enjoyed use of private sauna and jacuzzi. Would definitely recommend.

Review 53:This is a very nice boutique hotel in an old stone house in the Jyväskylä center. The rooms have different themes and our family liked our 2 rooms very much. Spacious and clean rooms. Free internet access in the staircase. Really short walking distance to city sights but the location is quiet and nice. Free parking on the backyard. Hotel has a gourmet restaurang with great food. Really delicious! Breakfast buffe was superb!

Review 54:Loved the room! It was beautifully redone in a contemporary style that was still warm and comfortable. Very comfortable bedding, and compact but luxurious bathroom. Much nicer than some of the bigger city "design" hotels we stayed at. Also, the food was consistently excellent (the breakfast included in the room rate, and the dinner we had in the hotel restaurant).

Review 55:The hotel offered the comfort and service I expect but not always receive. The room was perfect, tastefully furnished with Alvar Altio designed furniture which was a pleasure, and clean. It was open without the usual hotel "clutter." Staying there was a pleasure. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Review 56:We booked the apartment, which is in a separate building next door.Well, it was a studio really but well designed. I couldn't see how afamily (which was advertised) could fit in it. The apartment and hotelis opposite a kindergarten, which seemed to have been commandeered bysome enthusiastic young people - probably not the toddlers - playingbasketball on the premises until 2am. Even with all the windows shut, itwas quite audible. I know this isn't the fault of the hotel though. Thewashing machine in the studio smelt of mould, and I didn't fancy tryingto do any laundry. This place would be a reasonable choice if you wantto be a bit self-contained.

Review 57:The restaurant was amazing for its food and wine selection, it was thereason we chose to stay here. The staff was helpful, friendly anduncomplicated. There is free parking available. A short walk brings youto the city centre.

Review 58:Probably the best place in Jyväskylä, unless you prefer the standardised comforts of the big chains. The staff is efficient and friendly and the restaurant is excellent. The price of the room is quite competitive once you factor in free parking, welcome drinks, free sauna and made to order breakfast omelet.

Review 59:Nothing. Top notch.

Review 60:Everything. They had a great attention to detail, a high quality customer service and our room had personality. Additionally the food was a delight.
