Reviews for Hotel Tanausu

Review 1:The room was very hot and we found it difficult to sleep. There were no drink making facilities.

Review 2:The friendly staff tried their best to be helpful. The location was great for the centre of Santa Cruz.

Review 3:There's no air conditioned in the rooms, with Summer's July heat, was impossible to sleep in the room at night. Wifi only reaches the rooms on the first floor or lounge. The main doors closes at midnight and you're not allowed to have guests, if you do decide to have guests after midnight, they'll have to pay 20Euros addtionally per night. Staff was pleasant but they're not much help as they can do anything to change the house rules.

Review 4:Location is perfect right in the town centre, but unfortunately from all the cons above mentioned, LAN connection for internet in the rooms, cable provided by the hotel, thank GOD for that !!!

Review 5:Wifi did not work in my hotelrom but I could get a signal in the hotel's public television room.

Review 6:Good location for city walking. A very clean hotel. Friendly service. Very good value for money

Review 7:Water taps and bathtub in the bathroom was a little damaged. Noise from the street in clearly and audible in the 4th floor.

Review 8:Hygene Articles available. The night time portier was very friendly.

Review 9:Also, your grandma was a cigarette addict and left a beautiful perfume all around the house.

Review 10:Like sleeping in grandma's house... 10 years after she died, and the house was abandoned since then.

Review 11:We had bed and breakfast and paid 5,50 for the breakfast which is in the cafe next to the hotel. we just got a sandwich or baguette, orange juice and one coffee. if we went to the cafe and would have ordered the same meal without having bought it at the hotel, we would just have had to pay 2,90. as we talked to the receptionist he was sorry and said it was a mistake and gave us 2 € back and told us that it would be different the other day (but it was the same again). so just go to the cafe and eat your breakfast there without paying almost two times the price to the hotel!

Review 12:The guy at the reception was very kind and did everything to help us. The location was perfect, you are the center of the city in about 5 mins. WiFi was really good and fast.

Review 13:at extra cost booked double room as single - got room with 3 single beds in and very little free space. no comfortable chair to sit in. very disaponting as stayed at this hotel several times before and always got very nice room. maybe because on this occasion only stayed 1 night. not as clean as previously

Review 14:reception staff extremely friendly/helpful

Review 15:really friendly and helping staff

Review 16:Lovely, basic hotel a very short stroll from the centre of town just away from the hustle and bustle

Review 17:Colors and odors from a different century - needs upgrading!

Review 18:Nice and welcoming staff!

Review 19:WiFi not reachable from the room, but only in a specific place

Review 20:Very well positioned, clean and staff very welcoming

Review 21:I needed to stay for a few hours in Santa Cruz and this Hotel was good value for money!

Review 22:Damp rooms. No heating. Ants in room. Shower not working properly.

Review 23:Nothing

Review 24:A bit noisy at times in the early hours

Review 25:Friendly staff , daily clean and lovely en suite

Review 26:Just one night here is good enough.

Review 27:For 30 euro, this is what I expect to get and I am totally satisfied.

Review 28:The hotel faces a large gutted building/building site, which wasn't pleasant. The hotel staff seemed to make quite a bit of noise in the morning (on the fourth floor).

Review 29:Pleasant responsive staff. I liked the arrangement with the cafe round the corner serving breakfast. The location is super convenient for the bus station and the market. Room was comfortable and clean.

Review 30:old hotel. not good price for what you get. room is old. shower needs longer curtains, otherwise the water gets off while having shower!

Review 31:The staff awesome. the location is excellent.

Review 32:did not have any facilities to make tea or coffee, no where to purchase water or any snacks, if they are not going to provide a kettle, i would suggest they put in vending machines

Review 33:staff very friendly and helpfull

Review 34:The room are really basic and need some refurbishment

Review 35:location is perfect right close ti everything. Room quite big and spacious. Staff was very kind. Price.

Review 36:The room didn't match the description. Size was about 20 square meters (should have been 35). Balcony didn't exist. The price of the room charged to the credit card by themselves without asking for anything.

Review 37:Only one receptionist speaks English, the rest doesn't speak any English word. Breakfast is too poor (juice, coffee, one sandwich). You can hear every word your neighbours pronounce, the walls are too weak

Review 38:Location is perfect, 10min to bus station and major shopping centre, 5min to city centre. Reception is very friendly, but… (see the negative points).

Review 39:I did not like, that staff do not speak English and breakfast and diner are not in hotel, need to go different place ,where staff the same don"t speak English at all.

Review 40:I like only location this hotel

Review 41:Unclean, hair everywhere, no sound barriers (you can hear a person throwing up 03:00a.m. with your windows closed and basicaly whenever someone anywhere in the house shuts the doors, its like your doors are being shut right at your ears) Problems with registrations, only spanish speaking personal etc. etc. Wont stay ever again.

Review 42:Noisy neighbours and neighbourhood. Staff did not speak or understand english. They also gave us false information about breakfast time. If you leave early, it is better not to reserve breakfast. Luckily there are other cafes (with better coffee) nearby.

Review 43:Near the bus station. Room was clean and had a nice view to the mountains.

Review 44:We just had a night-over in Santa Cruz and found the hotel perfect situated in relation to the bus-station and the city. Reception was very friendly and the room comfortable, quiet and clean.

Review 45:Wi-Fi hardly worked in the 4th floor room, could not get wired Internetto work either. Toilet tank was leaking, causing water to refill it loudenough that I closed it for the night.

Review 46:Very stylish hotel with friendly helpful staff. Arrangement of thefloors reminded me of medieval tower, quite a unique for a hotel.

Review 47:Rooms are not very sound proof, so it depends a bit on the courtesy of fellow travellers.

Review 48:An excellent location in downtown Santa Cruz. Great for a short stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel has clean and well-equipped rooms

Review 49:can be subject to traffic noise , but not all night.

Review 50:friendly,helpful staff good location for port, bus station and market good value for money good spacvious room

Review 51:Simple small hotel on a quiet side street. Friendly staff. Breakfast was not included in the room price, but there are several small local cafes down the street. One very good, very local shop for 'churros' down the street just before the bank at the corner. Check the food market down the street.

Review 52:The location in the heart of the city, for one. Fast Internet connection, (in all of the rooms), honest staff, they speak English and are very professional.

Review 53:Road outside a bit noisy - but what do you expect in a town. A couple of chairs on the balcony would have been nice.

Review 54:Good sized, clean room with small balcony in a very convenient location. Close to bus station but also close to main tourist area, shops, restaurants etc

Review 55:i think the hotel can provide a fan in the rooms during the summer months Rather than me asking the front desk. A fan is not expensive at all.

Review 56:Very retro place with things that works and very clean

Review 57:The windows are located to the atrium ( 5 sqm ), you see the other wallin front of you after 2,0m, very nice. Like the most of the spanishbuildings exists no noise insulation, you can hear, what you want andalso what you not want to hear.

Review 58:The fast Internetconnection

Review 59:Poor lighting. Hard to find switch in coridors.

Review 60:Not alot. It was cheap and basic. Cose it for the location. Walking disyance from Tenerife Auditorio.

Review 82:Room was dark, no real window, it needs some modernization.

Review 83:Location is very good, affordable, simple accomodation.
