Reviews for Hotel Imperador
Review 1:very poor breakfast,tiny bathroom,
Review 2:really handy central location, close to 2 metro stations, very friendly staff, has an old world style, wi fi was fine, fridge in room added bonus
Review 3:The breakfast is rather sober. Some rolls, cheese, chorizo, marmelade or cereal. I could have used a more substantial breakfast with eggs bacon and so on. Some of the rooms (407, 507, 607 and probably some more rooms on the higher floors are situated next to the staff elevator. The noise of the staff doing their work woke me up a couple of times
Review 4:Very friendly and personal staff. I had, due to the late moments i came back from visiting the city, very nice conversations with the night porter. When i asked if it was possible if i stayed another night. It was no problem and very quick arranged
Review 5:The Economic Room is hardly a good place to sleep. Too much noise as it's near the service stairs/elevator and the staff tends to forget people are at the 507 room trying to rest. The price for the night (EUR 47) could not support the lack of attention.
Review 6:Great location: very central, good access to Metro, restaurants, train station
Review 7:Hotel has been very recently re-painted, we had to keep the window open all day and night to get rid of the paint smell.... Breakfast was just ok.
Review 8:Nice staff, hotel has been recently re-painted, rooms was modern and clean.
Review 9:Very uncomfortable beds. Mattresses were worn out. Ants walked all over the bathroom. Insufficient breakfast, there was almost nothing. I suggest not to take the room with breakfast. Go to a bar.
Review 10:Just 200 meters from the Metro stop Saldanha.
Review 11:The breakfast could be better, but still a good deal since it's included in the price
Review 12:The hotel is near to more than one metro station, also the staff was extremely kind and helpful.
Review 13:The breakfast though good the food was not restocked it was left to run out.
Review 14:I was just staying overnight to catch another flight the following day. The hotel was set up excellently for this purpose. The staff were excellent and it was good value for money. I cent refreshed and ready for my next flight.
Review 15:breakfast could have been a bit more variable ;)
Review 16:the location is great, 3 mins from the metro, very friendly and nice staff, rooms were comfy with everything you need for a good stay. I recommend! value for money
Review 17:Noisy after 7AM. Western breakfast, not much choices and supplies.
Review 18:Good location and easy to reach from the airport. It's very close to the metro station.
Review 19:Breakfast's included in the price, but don't count on it. There's so much better things in Lisboa...
Review 20:Clean and cheap hotel, staff really nice. Location is good: 30 minutes to downtown by metro. Lot ot bus to go anywhere.
Review 21:The room was tiny (maybe due to the second bed inside it) and dark (only one window) and tiny table.
Review 22:Localization of the hostel is very good, not far away from subway.
Review 23:The breakfast was ok, could have been a little bit more various.
Review 24:The Hotel is close to metro and bus station for easily reaching all parts of Lisbon. Some good restaurants and Pastelarias near by. Hotel staff was always friendly and helpful. Room had been cleaned every day. All things very ok corresponding the prize.
Review 25:Pronounced road noise, even in 7th floor.
Review 26:The location, close to 2 metro lines and hop-on hop-off buses, Friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money accommodation
Review 27:The room is quite small, perhaps therefore it would be good to have it painted again.
Review 28:The breakfast was simple but good with very fresh bread. The breakfast room was clean and they cleaned the tables very frequently. The room was quiet, the bathroom clean,
Review 29:Very small bathroom, impossible to sit at toilet without your knees touching the wall Poor breakfast, only bread, artificial juice, cereal and drinks from machine Noisy during the mornings, from 7am onwards. Cleaners sometimes shouting around.
Review 30:Comfy bed, and very clean room Internet was stable and relatively fast
Review 31:Old furniture in the rooms - not a disaster, still needs renovation. The breakfast is the same every day. No eggs, no vegetables, no wurst. Just break, ham, cheese, some joghurt and corn flakes. The orange juice has maximum 20% fruit content, not more. So breakfast is pretty poor, and its really without any veriaty.
Review 32:Location is very nice, close to the metro in a nice street with shops, restaurants, bakeries , car rental etc... The whole neighbourhood is very nice. Stuff was very helpful, and the room and bathroom clean.
Review 33:- while chceck-in portier had his nose runny and wiped it without the use of tissues (only by his hands - awful)!!!!! - a very dark room in awful colours - problems with electricity (main light broke down every day) - night lamps hanging over the beds had to strong light (60) and were fastened to low over the pillow!!! - hairdryer was out of order when chceck-in and broke down twice during 3-nights stay - some of the reception staff doesn't speek English - boring breakfasts - extremly unconfortable beds (feels like the mattress is made from plastic! - keep in mind that Lisbon airport is close by so you can hear airplanes taking off from 5am (it's realy load - without ears stopers it's difficult to sleep)
Review 34:- Location nex to 2 metro stations - close to the airport with direct connection by metro - staff gives advices how to get to the tourism attractions in Lisboa - after chcek-out you can leave you baggage
Review 35:The air condition worked poorly and made even more noise than the traffic on the streets. The safety leaflet can make you paranoid: t incuded the warnings not to open the door to anybody, not to disclose the name of your hotel when socialising with strangers, to contact staff when someone knocks to your door and doesn't answer etc etc. (all in itself quite sensible suggestions, but the amount of these and the presentation was terrifying, although the actual situation did not seem to be so dangerous.... )
Review 36:the staff was helpful
Review 37:Although the bed linnen was clean, please do not look underneath yourbed! Even if you happen to have forgotten something, you don't wantto pick it up anymore. The drawer in the bed side table contained fingernails and other dirt. You can hear your neighbours talk...
Review 38:Functional wifi and friendly personel. Clean bathroom, clean bed linnen
Review 39:breakfast.
Review 40:very good location, close to restaurants and Lisbon subway station. Staff was friendly and helpful when I arrived. Bathroom was clean and bed was comfortable, although it was just a simple bedroom. I would stay there again.
Review 41:Breakfast
Review 42:Everything ok
Review 43:Horrible breakfast. Noisy room.
Review 44:Location, staff.
Review 45:Nothing
Review 46:Situation ,friendly staff and healthy breakfast
Review 47:Breakfast good, but each day the same
Review 48:Fast wi-fi
Review 49:Extremely clean accommodation , friendly staff. Hotel is near the metro and bus stops, it takes only few minutes walk to it. Honestly recommend.
Review 50:Noisy at night, I could not sleep
Review 51:the hotel room we had was very noisy at night
Review 52:liked the position of the hotel
Review 53:Close to the subway station.
Review 54:Very good location, nice staff
Review 55:The Wifi wasn't totally regular
Review 56:A friendly, obliging and good value for the money reception
Review 57:friendliness of employees.
Review 58:very small room and poor breakfast.
Review 59:nice staff
Review 60:The neighborhood and location were excellent and 2 metro lines very handy. The room and bathroom were Spartqn and minimal but quiet and clean.
Review 61:The building needs badly some type of insulation. Humidity in the rooms is REALLY a problem.
Review 62:Staff is outstanding! Prime location Value for money
Review 63:Noisy, very poor sound insulation
Review 64:Location OK
Review 65:Maybe change the breakfast from the usual.
Review 66:I like the metro being 3 minetus walk, good staff very much helpful.
Review 67:very old building poor breakfast
Review 68:location - close to the metro station
Review 69:Rooms are becoming old and very used. Humidity is everywhere.
Review 70:Friendly and available staff at all hours and location.
Review 71:No facilities
Review 72:Excellent location with bus station and 2 metros nearby
Review 73:Breakfast too poor
Review 74:Staff friendly,clean
Review 75:No facility in room for tea or coffee.
Review 76:Location for metro system nearby.
Review 77:We stayed there for 4 nights and breakfast was same every day. Small room.
Review 78:good location and value for money.
Review 79:Very kind and helpfull staff. Good location.
Review 80:Re-furbishment should start soon...
Review 81:Friendly and helpful staff. Family feeling.
Review 82:Breakfast really was basic.
Review 83:Cheap and cheerful. Nothing fancy but a clean comfortable bed for the night with free wifi.
Review 84:The shower was broken.... but after 2 days they fixed it
Review 85:I had the most awesome experience.. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help.
Review 86:Breakfast very , very poor! We couldn't eat at the hotel. But the hotel is situated close to many small restaurants (for locals) and we could have a good breakfast 6-7 euros for 2 people.
Review 87:Curatenie in camera, proasoape schmbate in fiecare zi, personalul foarte saritor sa ajute
Review 88:Breakfast: very basic and of mediocre quality standards Distance to city centre. (But that is reflected in te room-rates)
Review 89:Deskstaf nice. Close to subway and taxi-stand. Various good bars/restaurant nearby.
Review 90:Old rooms, no electricity sockets near bed - need to plug mobile somewhere in the corner of the room. Rooms are quite old but clean.
Review 91:WiFI, Location very close to parks good if you like jogging in the morning.
Review 92:No fruit at breakfast. Single room by service lift a bit noisy from very early in morning.
Review 93:Quiet location, but plenty of local food options e.g. Japanese buffet, veggie place - palador zen. Excellent large rooms with reliable free wifi. Housekeeping faultless.
Review 94:Breakfast was good, but as we stayed for 3 days, it was the same on all 3 days. A little variation would have been better. All towels were changed on all 3 days which is not good for the environment. It would be good to have a system where the guest is asked to put the towel on the floor, if they wish it to be changed.
Review 95:Very close to Metro. Therefore, easy access to tourist sites and also easy access to the airport. Staff were friendly and the receptionist(s) gave good tourist information and how to travel in Lisbon. Lady in the kitchen was also helpful during breakfast. Room was also cleaned every day.
Review 96:Beds were hard.
Review 97:Room was well-appointed and bathroom was good. Breakfast was very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Taxi rank just outside was useful. Range of restaurants nearby.
Review 98:Staff seemed polite and helpful. Room comfortable and clean, good location in city centre, easy access to metro etc & very reasonably priced. I would use this hotel again.
Review 99:Single room is small, with simple furnishing, but nicely organized and very clean. For one person absolutely sufficient. The bathroom is very narrow, which might be difficult for a very tall or corpulent person, but for a person of usual stature it is OK. First of all - it is clean, tidy, toaletries are provided and towels - although visibly worn - are clean and changed every day. The breakfast is simple but for a short stay (I was staying for four nights) quite sufficient and varied. A simple hotel for reasonable price with services that are very worth the money. I can recommend it to anyone who seeks cleanliness and good basic service. Other asset is the location. Out of four metro lines, three are five minute's walk from the hotel, not to mention bus stations nearby. The city centre can be reached in fifteen minutes by metro or in about twenty to thirty minutes on foot, which is besides a pleasant walk.
Review 100:We got room number 601. Very creepy. Room was very small. There was no minibar (it was in room description and we wanted to use it as fridge to store our food). One of 2 windows was covered with wardrobe so only one tiny window was in use. Destroyed floor panels. Dirty blankets on beds, dirty bathroom. Only two very tiny (size of hand towels) and very old, overused towels. Smelly air-conditioning. It was the worst hotel room we ever spent night in. Two weeks earlier we have rented whole flat (very clean and modern, with 2 bathrooms, bedroom, fully equipped kitchen) for the same price and in the same area. You can get much better accomodation for that price.
Review 101:Good location, close to red line of metro, blue line about 600-700m away.
Review 102:Breakfast is rather simple (no fruits or egg), but the bread is fresh and good. One side of the building was a bit noisy (for those who don't like to hear cars passing), but the other side is very quite.
Review 103:It's very clean, beds are comfortable, staff is friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for me: a 10 min. walk to University Técnico Lisboa and 10 min. by bus to the center. The metro station connects directly to the airport. The area has many cafeterias and shops.
Review 104:Unfortunately, the quality of the items offered at breakfast wasn’t great (eg. orange squash instead of orange juice), but I have a feeling that this is a common problem throughout Portugal in hotels of this price-range.
Review 105:The rooms were air conditioned and there was little noise disturbance. The staff at the front desk were kind--Francisco was particularly knowledgeable, and the elderly woman who does our ironing was also very sweet. The location is ideal as it is removed from inner-city sketchiness at night, but close to the subway so that one can easily travel about without fear. The subway stop is also on the same line as the stop for the airport, so it is extremely easy and inexpensive to get to with luggage. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
Review 106:No balcony, close to metro but 20 minutes from the centre. Breakfast could be better.
Review 107:Great internet, good location near several metro stations, ok breakfast, clean room and a fridge.
Review 108:Not always brought in time bath accessories, sometimes it was noisy.WiFi signal could be stronger. Add fruits for breakfast!
Review 109:During his week-long visit, met with three guys at reception were all very friendly and helpful!!! had a few questions that will help me solve a problem!!! Speak good English! It left a good impression, gladly stopped there again!! Breakfast was included and was very good (for this money) with a wide choice of coffee and tea, toast, cheese, ham, juice, cereals, jams, honey, in general all that you need for a healthy breakfast! LCD TV, hair dryer in the room, lots of closet hangers, mirrors. WiFi is free of charge. Good new elevator/
Review 110:Well located (walking distance from one of the main railway stations - Entracampos). Taxi rank outside and close to plenty of bars and cafes. The hotel is unpretentious as well as being clean and tidy. My friends and I only stayed one night, but we would consider it for a longer stay. Overall, very good value.
Review 111:The first front desk person I worked with was surly almost to the pointof hilarity. After that the other two I worked with were fantastic!
Review 112:Proximity to airport, taxi stand right out front, cafes and grocerystore nearby, quiet neighborhood, checked me in at 10:30 am after a redeye flight!
Review 113:Breakfast was the same each day and a little bland - but for what one paid it was acceptable
Review 114:Reception open 24 hours a day Close to the Metro station Friendly staff
Review 115:Everything is very "used" and some features in the bathroom were broken.
Review 116:Staff with an impeccable "Can do attitude" and the location!
Review 117:The staff was very friendly. The breakfast is ok fir the money, but dont expect a continental breakfast!. There is a cab stop in front, that works 24hs, and the metro station is 100m away, so its well comunicated.
Review 118:My room was next to the kitchen and dining room, there was too much noise at night time and breakfast time.
Review 119:The hotel is next to an underground stop. The center is 25min walking or 10 min by tram. The staff were very friendly.
Review 120:The hotel was great, located in the quiet street, close to the Marques De Pompal square. Everything was perfect, spacious room, friendly staff and very good breakfast. I strongly recommend this hotel :)
Review 121:No other cereal than corn-flakes at breakfast Slightly worn in places, but we thought it was excellent value for our money and would recommend it to others as well as stay there again if we go back to Lisbon
Review 122:Most of the staff very friendly and helpful, none unhelpful or unfriendly Very clean and tidy rooms Bread at breakfast very good as was the yougurt Small fridge in the room 2 blocks from a central metro station, also within walking distance of some sights and parks so easy to get around Some excellent cafes nearby
Review 123:Bathroom really small Housekeeping slammed doors early in the morning
Review 124:The staff was amazing and helpful, they went above and beyond to make the trip great.
Review 125:Excellent location (close to metro and easy to get to the airport), goodvalue for the price, friendly staff. I stayed in this hotel for thefifth time in a decade and I never got disappointed.
Review 126:Location, staff, cleanliness. Would use again.
Review 127:none
Review 128:- Service & friendliness of the Staff - Cleanliness - Perfect location, near to Metro Station & Bus stops
Review 129:Mattress very used!! Felt the springs on my back.
Review 130:Location and the friendly and extremely helpful staff.
Review 131:The walls are paper tin, construction work from 7am couldn't get much sleep with the noise.
Review 132:Price was good value.
Review 133:Great position, comfortable room, decent breakfast.
Review 134:noise from the cleaning staff
Review 135:Nice staff, always available for help.
