Reviews for Hotel Trefacio

Review 1:We asked for a double bed, got two single beds. The fan was broken. The tap was broken. The bed lamp had a broken bulb. The room was tiny. Everything looked better on pictures - the building is quite old and so was the interior of our room. You have to either leave the car on the street few blocks away or on a car park that is few hundred meters away and costs over 18 euros a day (we were told by the receptionist it would be 12 euros, was 18 plus).

Review 2:Friendly staff, tasty and cheap breakfast

Review 3:There wasn't air conditioning. However, there was a fan and we could sleep OK.

Review 4:We liked the staff, who were really nice and helpful. We loved the location, the room, the décor, the hostel pavement café, everything. The shower was really trendy and worked perfectly well. In addition, the room was pretty clean and quite big.

Review 5:Only minus was some noise from the stairs and other rooms. Also we were given a smokers room, be sure to insist on that point if you visit.

Review 6:Good location and restaurant/bar, nice staff and excellent bed. We solved the parking problem easily as during the weekend we could be able to park for free in the neighboring streets (5 min walk). Not so cheap (50€) considering the facilities, but location is very good.

Review 7:the wifi didn’t work on the 4th floor so I had to use it in the lobby; room key had a HUGE key fob which made it awkward to carry

Review 8:wonderful location in the old town halfway between cathedral and train station; right next door to some good tapas restaurants; quiet; speedy modern elevator; decent bed and shower; very clean overall; breakfast wasn’t free but the restaurant downstairs served a good café con leche and tostada con tomate; very friendly and helpful receptionists (not sure if they speak English or not since I spoke Spanish); they let me leave my luggage in the lobby after checkout

Review 9:Overpriced & very basic. In your site it is classed as a hotel, they (the 'hotel') class it as a Hostel hotel !

Review 10:central location

Review 11:10 euros for parking is a bit cheeky!

Review 12:All was fine. nice staff. Clean place.

Review 13:Room was a little small

Review 14:Clean, tidy and good value for money. Great location

Review 15:Well located between the train/bus station and the old town, inexpensive

Review 16:Location

Review 17:Difficulties with hot water at 4 floor. Smell of cigarettes in the non-smoking room.

Review 18:The hotel is located in a pedestrian only zone just a ten minute walk from the Plaza Mayor and the entrance of sorts to the old city. It's probably another ten minutes to the castle area and the riverbank. There is no parking at all in this area and everything leading into it seemed to be "zona azul" metered parking. So I ended up in an underground parking garage at Plaza de la Constitución. Unfortunately, the prices of these garages can often negate a good deal on a hotel, but sometimes there is really no other choice. My room is a good size, with two twin beds, a large wardrobe style closet, a desk and chair, and a small wall mounted TV. The bathroom was satisfactory with enough hot water and water pressure. The shower fixture could use a new head though. The water doesn't come out in a nice even spray, but rather ends in kind of a point. But, it was ok. The bed pillows are those long firm heavily stuffed potato sack like affairs that I don't particularly care for. I like something softer. There was absolutely no noise whatsoever during the night and I slept reasonably well. Wifi is free and works very well. Room cost was 28€. The young woman at the desk in the evening was very friendly and personable. She gave me a nice city map and also some good tips on what to see. She also mentioned that they have their own parking facility available for an additional fee of 10€ per day. As it was getting late, I did not want to bother moving the car to another location. And one final note. I don't understand the many negative reviews posted, because I thought the place was great. Maybe I am just very easy to please.

Review 19:- very poor value for money; - very bad soundproofing in the room (you could hear everything on the restaurant downstairs); - they didn't have a double room available; - very uncomfortable bed;

Review 20:Everything excellent for the price.

Review 21:Staff were easy to help me with my luggage and were prepared with a map, opening hour list of tourist attractions etc.

Review 22:by car there is no access to hotel so difficult for check in or check out. parking place at 10-15 minutes walking from hotel is expensive. Poor breakfast: juice, coffee, small quantity of bread or toast but larger quantity of cake instead. Jam but no cheese, ham, fruit or other.

Review 23:Personnel OK.

Review 24:Hubo una familia gritando por el pasillo en plena noche.

Review 25:La cama era muy cómoda, el baño estaba limpio, el agua caliente sale muy rápido. Hay wifi, y dejan la contraseña en la habitación.

Review 26:Wifi didnt work in my room ( on the 5th floor) do i had to use it at the lobby

Review 27:The hotel has an elevator, the room is clean and nice.

Review 28:The room in the third floor

Review 29:No air conditioning in the room. Noisy fan instead.

Review 30:Good location.

Review 31:This hotel is very central and it is near to the tapas bars.
