Review 5：Tax was not included in the room quote either by booking.com or the resort on the Bill quote. Had to pay 300 Euro tax more on top of Bill on check out. Be aware of this !!

Review 15：Beautiful room. A seriously comfortable bed. Great food, great coffee by the beach to deal with my hangover! Really nice staff. Beautiful bar at night. This is a more "traditional" hotel, I would call it classically beautiful i.e. don't forget your long trousers for drinks boys, no shorts allowed! But with that comes charm and sophistication. We felt totally taken care of. Loved the weekend and was gutted to leave!

Review 25：The tangible feeling of being liked and valued by all the staff at every level. The interaction with everyone who works at the hotel was very pleasant and the service second to none. Nothing was too much trouble. The quality and convenience of the accommodation, food and facilities was excellent. The grounds, gardens and spa all create a very good vibe and help make it one dream of a place to vacation .

Review 27：Nice location (just 3-5 min from Porto Banus by car or 45 min walking near the ocean with a best view). Perfect breakfast till 11 am!!! A lot of fruits, fresh juices, different types of omelette and many many more. Very good dinner a la cart, I was at artichokes season - Rissotto with prawns & artichokes is delicious. Excellent service. Excellent Wi-Fi (for free). Fast, very fast check-in. I was upgraded for free to the superior/luxe room with an ocean view. Nice rooms, fruits were provided, coffee machine and a comfortable bed. Fast cleaning. iPads provided in the room. Very quite. Everything is just at hight level - nothing to be added.

I was with my daughter (she's an adult) they gave us a free upgrade to a beautiful junior suite and a free pass to the spa. Pool areas were lovely, but a bit on the small side.

Great tennis facilities at Puerto Romano. The rooms have have been refurbished recently and are very comfortable and attractive.

Review 97：I chose this hotel because it wasn't a large modern impersonal establishment, it had character history and style. I was not disappointed at all. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave the service is second to none. The staff REALLY do care, they are not simply reading from a script. The hotel and its restaurants are not cheap , however the quality backed up by the service do justify the cost. I have looked at under par past reviews, and honestly disregard them- these people simply do not get what this hotel is about! It is about class, style discreet customer service and attention to detail in all areas. I own and run a 5 star establishment myself, so I am naturally critical, well for the first time ever there is simply nothing to criticise . So impressed were we I have today contacted the general manager to book up for 2 weeks next year so that we can bring our grandchildren.( Simply because the booking calendar for next June doesn't seem to be available yet) Children I hear some people gasp!! Yes there were children staying while we were there, all of whom had parents who had clearly taught them how to behave in such establishments, however when we went to check out the kids club on site we were once again blown away by the offering! Our granddaughters will love it! The style, attention to detail and service whispered "class". Remember new money "shouts"- old money -whispers!!!

Review 98：Not the hotel's fault...but some of the guests did not parent their children. Because of this, it would be nice to have an adults only area so those of us on a romantic break could enjoy some peace and quiet.

Review 102：The whole complex seems a bit out of date and crammed. It clearly transpires that it was added to on many occasions through the years and it was not originally conceived as a 5-star hotel, but as a private estate. Also the restaurant and bars are unjustifiably expensive. They were by far the most expensive ones we visited in Spain.

Review 104：The general opinion: the Hotel is not a 5 stars place. The rooms should be renovated & much better cleaned. I had an opportunity to visit several rooms - it's all the same everywhere, not just my bad luck with accommodation :) The cars on the territory - this is unacceptable - they drive fast despite of the signs (and the hotel service buggies as well), they park in front of the bungalows, blocking the way, or along the roads - it is not safe for kids who could suddenly come out to the road & it is not a pleasure to look back every time when you have to walk along the road. There is a big parking in front of the reception - I would say it's the best place for the cars. The swimming pools are quite small & a bit not clean. The construction works next to the hotel also do not add any attraction points :)

Asparagus, and avocados for instance were gigantic but lackedflavour, as did lobsters! (But you can see it is difficult to findfault here).

The room was modern and the furniture was in good conditions, but at night it was difficult to sleep because there was a irritating constant noise.
