Reviews for L'Oyat
Review 1:Restaurant staff not particularly friendly, food was undercooked. Rooms & corridors dark & looking dated. But still ok for a cheap place to stay.
Review 2:Quiet, good location on the beach. Lots of places to eat around & good boulangerie around the corner.
Review 3:First room stank of damp. Asked to change room. Shower in second room leaked. Shower grouting was black with mould. Room was painted a disgusting green and the bed and bedding were straight from the 70s...
Review 4:Seafront location. Great restaurant attached to the hotel. Friendly staff.
Review 5:The place requires a major facelift.: Ocean view obstructed by ugly fencing..
Review 6:Location just next to the ocean. Restaurants in walking distance. Very friendly management.
Review 7:Nothing
Review 8:Friendly staff, great location on the sea front. A clean and tidy room with a sea view and an excellent large power shower. On site parking under the hotel.
Review 9:miserable, rude guy, handed my wife a lecture, in an aggressive manner, about 1600 check in time when we arrived at 1500, why ? no idea, because then he told us the room was ready anyway, why does Basil Fawlty want to pick a fight for no reason ? (on our third stay) , a simple "sorry room not ready" is something we all hear often, so no problem , then we wait according to the hotel rules. But why lecture the client even when the room is ready. hotel is tired, musty, dark, damp, dingy and out of date. The guy gets away with it all simply because of location and local availability. We won't be back.
Review 10:location
Review 11:Musty smelling poorly ventillated bathroom. Shower needed renovating. The sea-facing exterior could do with a major face-lift. The walk out to promenade was via a very tatty-feeling back roadway. Bars and stalls all very downmarket. Booming music.
Review 12:Sea view from room. Wonderful beach.
Review 13:bathroom needs to be fixed the style of the room could be brighter/more fresh the smell in the room
Review 14:the location right by the ocean the price
Review 15:Roof terrace was fab and location was stunning.great
Review 16:nothing!
Review 17:the location, the staff,... i forgot one of my luggage and they sent it back to me straight away!!!
Review 18:Welcoming family operated hotel right on the sea front. Private parking which in high season would be well needed.
Review 19:the view from the room on the beach and waves, the 2 large sunny terraces (for all clients) with panoramic view; nice breakfast, friendly staff
Review 20:The best days are gone. It's one of those beach hotels to stay for one night. Not longer.
Review 21:Close to the beach. Good parking.
Review 22:all good (rooms a little small, but functional)
Review 23:great location, friendly staff. breakfast- good spread but no fry ;-(
Review 24:Great location and views. Comfortable room. Parking and free wifi
Review 25:You have to pay for parking. The hotel should include this. They should give you a voucher.
Review 26:Excellent location, nice staff and reasonable prices.
Review 27:Staff were accommodating with a late change to room requirements and very friendly.
Review 28:Limited useful storage space for clothes. There was a bamboo style open wardrobe which was not very sturdy.
Review 29:The manager was very helpful and considerate to our needs, even opening up for breakfast earlier than normal as we needed to leave quite early. We were cycling and could store our bikes in the hotel garage. Opt for a terrace room as you get the use of large outside space directly infront of our room.
Review 30:Out of prime season the hotel lacks a bit of atmosphere
Review 31:The attached restaurant is high quality, the staff are really helpful and car parking is provided - this is my third stay.
Review 32:parking a problem, rooms are sooooooooooo small, décor OLD, we paid for a seaview room but to see the beach,we had to walk out of ur room and go down to a common area on a veranda far from our room to see the oceon.
Review 33:beach
Review 34:Staff was not unfriendly, they just were not overly helpful - basic, I am comparing them to other staff in France that was extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations, & local info on where to rent a surf board or local knowledge to see special things. The hotel is in serious need of an update & work. It is quite old, & does not have air conditioning - the only option is to leave your door open for air, however the balcony is shared with other rooms (which I did not feel safe leaving open).
Review 35:The hotel was right on the beach, & infront of a great break - for my husband who surf's this was ideal. It was very easy to get to restaurants & local shops, it's right in the heart of the small town.
Review 36:Hand held shower not great but OK.
Review 37:So close to the beach and restaurants. Walk everywhere or bring your bike to explore the many bike trails. Loved it!
Review 38:Room was a bit squeezy. And the whole hotel was somewhat faded. It didnt matter as it was clean and safe.
Review 39:Food was excellent. We tended to eat there during our stay. Proximity to the beach. Absolutely Face. Free parking in an underground carpark which was secure. Near enough to all the shops and facilities. Also it was quiet in the hotel. All in all it was great.
Review 40:The close proximity to the sea and the helpful and friendly staff. Also the fact that it was clean and comfortable. There was a lift which was important to us and a garage - also important there where it's very busy.
Review 41:extremaly noisy room (street nightlife).room with a huge terrace with access to several other rooms (all doors wide open due to the heat).no aircon or fan.
Review 42:central location near the beach
Review 43:The drain in the shower must have worked in the wrong direction and the shower was extremely dirty from waste water before we used it. We had to move to another hotel our first night. No help and no compensation during our second night. We were disapointed.
Review 44:Very helpful staff in sorting out a long stay parking arrangement. Good location in Lacanau-Ocean for walking to all areas. Interesting shower room decor and good breakfast.
Review 45:Some ventilation holes in the windows, with te high winds blowing the were very noisy
Review 46:Good location Secure garage for my bike Snazzy bathroom Managers knowledge
Review 47:Corridors were very dark and the underground parking just scary.
Review 48:location by the beach was lovely. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room opening onto a terrace was a bonus and the room itself was pleasant. Like the rest of the town it had a faded Morcambe like charm.
Review 49:Room smelt musty. Air con noisy. Carpet was dirty.
Review 50:Great location on the beach. Friendly staff. Cheapish and cheerful.
Review 51:Great location by the ocean. Cedric a very welcoming host. Excellent English
Review 52:Dark room, tired decor and dirty carpet. Mould in shower.
Review 53:Excellent location. Good breakfast. Secure storage for bike and onsite laundry.
Review 54:L'oyat was friendly, staff helpful. Rooms were well laid out with fabulous views!
Review 55:location at the shore line, garage
Review 56:Bad smells in the room no light in bathroom
Review 57:small room; see view limited by small window
Review 58:fine bathroom
Review 59:- hotel exterior and interior design, atmosphere - value for money could have been better
Review 60:- clean room - location directly on the beach
Review 61:nothing
Review 62:staff were excellent and friendly. We would use this hotel again with no hesitation. Restaurant food was very good.
