Review 1：Arrived on 29th Oct to be told the bar, cafeteria, restaurant were closed because the hotel itself was closing on the 31st for the Winter. Puzzled. Still paid the same amount quoted when we booked. Surely if a hotel is taking bookings until the 31st, facilities should be available for guests? Also, advertised as being in Villajoyosa whereas it was a 15 minute drive to the centre.

Review 3：Service and Food choice poor and quality was below average. Do not book for meals or breakfast. Self catering the best policy at this hotel. Although it was mentioned in the room information when we booked there was no TV in the apartment, we informed the hotel immediately on arrival but they said they didn't have anybody to bring us one.also, the Shower curtain was dirty and torn when we mentioned to the receptionist she informed us that the hotel would be closed from oct to march for refurb. Which will benefit the hotel greatly. Glad we only stayed one night. No beach only stones and rocks in a small cove area. Not good for children.

Review 5：Staff were miserable Unhelpful Uninformative Room was like a cheap hostel, basic, was given 1st floor room which had an ac unit in window and no view! Blocked by trees. Despite booking and paying for sea view room on an upper level. Standard double was booked, pics on website looked lovely...our room was nothing like the pics. The bed was two singles pushed together, very rickety, horrible kind of bed wetting plastic undercover which rustled every time you moved and made it sweaty. We had to wait an hour and half past our check in time, wasnt told why. Shower had mind of it own sprayed everywhere, which would explain the mouldy shower curtains and the bottom of bathroom door starting to bubble and rott. We didn't take any pics as we hated it so much. We literally just slept there cause we had too, we drove to Benidorm for two days we were there. Tried villajoyosia town to eat in evening but nothing there and felt unsafe! Thank god it wasn't our whole holiday!

Review 10：Good value for money. We were originally going to the very posh hotel next door. But thought 65 compared to 125 was more justifiable for one night. Getting into villajoyosa was a long trawl, would have been good to offer a subsidised minibus at a couple of key times during the day.

Review 47：We booked this hotel last minute to visit friends in the area. The moment we walked in to reception I knew we had made a mistake as there was a strange smell of stale food and cigarettes which reminded me more of a cheap youth hostel than a proper Hotel. However we had already paid our bill at time of booking and so were committed. The decor in reception was very dated and in poor condition with many of the seats worn right through. Our room required 2 keys and a card to get in which took a bit of juggling with all our luggage. The room itself was quite large but the smell of cigarette smoke in the room seemed very strong to us non-smokers. (There was an unused ash-tray provided in the room.) We had no balcony but a lovely sea view spoilt by an aircon unit in the middle of the window. There were no instructions for this unit and the room was stifling hot. We did eventually figure out how to use it and the room became more acceptable. Meanwhile we were surprised to find that although we could open the 2 windows they only opened like a door and were very low down and I could have easily fallen out, so kept well away! I hate to think what might happen to a small child even from the 1st floor! The bedroom was very dated with much of the furniture chipped stained or broken. The bed very basic, low and with very noisy springs and lumpy mattress! When we eventually got in to bed we were shocked to find the sheets were threadbare and had lots of holes and rips in them. The bathroom was large with a double sink but again everything is very dated and old and worn out. There was a bath with a shower over which had good pressure but a tiny head. I couldn't have a bath as there were no handles to hold on to and I have a slight mobility problem. The bath was very slippery when I had shower and my husband had to stay with me in case I fell and help me in and out. The towels again very thin and worn.

Review 48：The Hotel was actually very clean which made our 3 day stay a little more bearable. I think that this is just a tired old hotel, where the staff do their best, but it definitely is badly in need of overall refurbishment.

Review 54：The hotel actively welcomes dogs and was very suitable for them. A goodpool and 100 metres to the beach through attractive grounds. Therestaurant staff were very helpful and set us up to eat dinner andbreakfast on the terrace so the dog could be with us. We had a minisuite that had a kitchenette - well worth the few pounds extra. Althoughthere is a strong tennis focus, it didn't overwhelm. We are nottennis players but we did not feel out of place and there was plenty forus to enjoy

Review 55：The only criticism that we had was that there was no tea/coffee making facilities but with the excellent buffet breakfast this made little difference to an excellent stay.

Review 56：We really enjoyed our stay and although did not actually play tennis did enjoy watching from the room. The number of courts must be top rated and having always played tennis in the past really appreciated this aspect. It is hard to pinpoint what we liked as we enjoyed all aspects of our stay and would have enjoyed a longer break that we may do as we often visit Villa Joyosa as we do have a holiday villa in Murcia. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a really good choice and the view of the bay from the apartment and could only have been improved with a balcony. It would have been preferable had the beach bar & barbecue area had been open but all in all and excellent stay.
