Review 1：No door mats - this means sand from beach can be carried into rooms. This is hardly a negative as the rooms are ser ice daily. The cabin door jambs do not have cushioning so, unless closed softly, BANG. Be aware the site is on a hill and therefore people with mobility problems should ask for a room in the main building.

Review 2：Its design you have your own little cabin with balcony It was very quiet. True it was late October but I only heard the residents in the next cabin when they were on the balcony - and with my door closed not at all. Staff are very friendly even if like me you do not speak Spanish. Although they will arrange secure parking I found there are ample public parking spaces. The on-site restuarant had a good range of meals at reasonable prices. If it rains, or you are just bored they have books to loan.

Review 6：We stayed in a suite which was beautiful, modern and clean. When we arrived we couldn't get the air conditioning to work but after a quick phone call to reception they soon had someone out to look at it and get it working. The hotel is situated just outside the centre of San Jose but just a short 5 minute stroll to all the restaurants and bars. The self service breakfast each morning was lovely with lots of choice and lovely coffee.

Review 8：Modern, clean and quirky, we had upgraded to a delux room and we were pleased with the standard and cleanliness. It was a lovely surprise to find not only did we have a balcony but we had our own roof terrace complete with sun beds! The hotel was very well decorated with plenty of quirky touches, a lovely pool and charming terrace to sit and relax in. The breakfast was good in Spanish style with plenty of choice of cooked meats, cheeses and breads etc. San Jose is a charming Spanish resort with plenty of good restaurants, a great place for a short break.

Review 10：A lovely boutique hotel with a chic but comfortable atmosphere. Extremely comfortable beds in a good sized room. Lovely bathroom with organic toiletries. Excellent breakfast buffet, with a large choice of both sanity and sweet items, including homemade cakes. Important was also having the option of fresh decafinated coffee. The staff were very smiley and helpful. Great location for exploring the Cabo de Gata area, including Spaghetti Western filming locations!

Review 12：The hotel is not brand new but it's very is beaitiful and very comfortable. Breakfast is good and we also enjoyed the pool area. The beaches around are unique and the city has a charming atmosphere. Not much to do in San Jose but it's a great place to relax for a couple of days. Don't miss la Playa de Los muertos.. Clean water..a beaitiful beach.

Review 13：Shower room soap dispensers difficult to operate for "the aged"! Poor quality tissues.

Review 15：There was never any staff at the terrace bar and I had to go to reception to find someone. When someone did arrive they didn't speak a single word of English which I found odd given how well the reception team communicated.

Review 33：The hotel has no bar. The restaurant was closed at lunchtime and all day Thursday. There was no where to get a coffee or cold drink when we arrived in the afternoon. Room service was not 24 hour as advertised. It claimed to run from 17:00 to 20:00 although we didn't test it. There were no instructions for the in-room safe. It appeared a card was needed to operate it. There was no display or buttons. We ate in the restaurant one night. My steak kebab was good but the chips were awful - reminded me of the sort you get in motorway service stations in the UK. The only other accompaniment was grated raw carrot. No salad or vegetables were offered. The corridor outside our room was poorly lit. It would have been easy to trip over one of the plant pots. The staff were completely disinterested in their work. Not at all what I expect of a four star hotel.

Review 34：Our room was gorgeous with a huge bed and two separate terraces. Breakfast was good with a range of pastries, cake, tortilla, cooked meats, cheese and yogurts.

Review 36：The hotel is in a really good location. - we've been to this area several times and we made short trips to Cabo de Gata lighthouse, and to Los Escullos' beautiful beaches. We needed disabled facilities and we found our 'superior' room very comfortable. The air conditioning was good and quiet - although the ceiling fan squeaked too loudly to use. The Wifi was excellent. There were no English TV channels, but several in German! The corridors were poorly (barely!) lit. It was nice to have afternoon tea and cake laid on, but otherwise the food was only average. Review 38：Hotel staff were brilliant at helping us organise activities. Hotel restaurant is both brilliant and has a great rate for guests. Free homemade cakes every day and great breakfasts. Nice, quiet environment and silent room at night.

Breakfast was varied and plentiful and I loved the afternoon tea and cakes if I found myself back at the hotel at that time. Beautiful surroundings. Review 46：The damp musty sewerage smell in the room, The hotel is too far from anything in the scruffy little town to get a breakfast so you have to have theirs....very expensive. Their retaurant is in the basement and claustraophobic with no atmosphere. my salmon was like rubber. Although traveling solo I had originally booked a triple room as that was all they had. I rang them to ask if I could get a double room if one became available, they said I had to contact B.com to authorise this. when I arrived they said it was OK. When I checked out they said they hadn't had authorisation from B.com so I had to pay for a triple room. This cost me an extra 18 E. B.com emailed to say they had forwarded my request? This place is way too expensive for the hick town it's in.The pool is too small no lounge chairs only seats it's claustrophobic in the heat.

Review 47：The little terrace outside the room at least made it possible to sit outside in the heat as it was in the shade. The decor of the hotel is quite nice.

The breakfast (including in the price) was very good. The best we had on our vacation. There was a free tea/coffee moment each day with cookies which was a very nioe gesture. The location of the hotel to the beach and restaurants. The price/quality rate was very good.

Hot food was actually cold and congealed and, I suspect, not freshly cooked each day. Staff, though perfectly pleasant and helpful when asked, make little effort to engage with guests.

Review 107：It is not at all by the sea. Expensive price for this remote area. During breakfast one can make tea only by heating up water in the microwave. Purchasing a kettle would improve tea consumers experience at this hotel.
