Reviews for Hostal Don Rodrigo
Review 1:Very difficult to find. Road not directly accessible by car. Hotel not clearly signed on adjacent road
Review 2:Friendly helpful staff. Very good for short stopover
Review 3:The hotel was difficult to find in the labyrinth of medieval streets, but once I parked the car (illegally!) and found it on foot, the owner was quick to direct me to the hotel's garage.
Review 4:Great central location for a short stay. The room was very modern and attractively decorated and the receptionist (the owner?) extremely friendly and helpful and recommended good places to eat nearby. The free use of a garage is a big plus!
Review 5:Internet was available but didn't work well in my room, which was at far end of floor and the signal may have had trouble penetrating so many solid walls.
Review 6:The hostel was within five minutes walk of the plaza mayor and an easy stroll to the castle, cathedral, and other historical parts of the city. Those operating the hostel were very friendly and helpful. It was also great to be able to park for free in the garage underneath in a central part of the city where parking is very difficult.
Review 7:Difficult to find !even with satnav.
Review 8:It was very clean, warm and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly and it was near the centre of town. The price was very reasonable.
Review 9:Nothing
Review 10:Very helpful staff on both arrival and departure. Could not find a fault with the room which was more than adequate for our one night stay. We would definitely use this location again.
Review 11:loved it all.
Review 12:As soon as you walk in the door this place is great.....welcoming , modern, clean, and the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet and spotless with modern bathrooms, great wifi , free parking and air con. Just a short walk to everything with a great value breakfast at Olifrey around the corner and we couldn't go past Agape restaurant for dinner so ate there 3 nights in a row...sensational and great value. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to all.
Review 13:It is about a 25 minute walk, with a heavy suitcase, from the train or bus station and there is no public transportation to the hostal other than taxi.
Review 14:Upon my arrival, Alclino, the owner, took my bag to my room. Shortly after, he arrived with a mini bottle of champaign as a welcomming gift. He was a gtrat host and provided me with much information. The room was clean and very modern, almost new and in an excellent location to tour Zamora. I highly recommend this facility.
Review 15:You need help to arrive by car as parking is in an underground garage down a 'no entry' street. Suggest you park close, drop in and get help from the owner (who is lovely). Safe once parked!
Review 16:Lovely welcome Comfortable room Decent shower Central location for old town
Review 17:The both men at the desk went above and beyond to be helpful and kind.
Review 18:Enthusiac welcome. Small but comfortable room, but fine for a stopover, and best of all, secure parking. It's right in the centre, you see.
Review 19:Difficult to find hostal when travelling by car.
Review 20:Helpfulness of The Manager.
Review 21:WiFi almost never worked!!

Review 25:The lovely man on reception who gave us such a wonderful warm welcome - particularly apreciated after a long day walking on the Camino. Very comfortable.
Review 26:A bit of noise from other rooms but nothing bad.
Review 27:It's a really comfortable, homely hotel (with memory-foam mattresses on the beds!) and I received such a warm welcome from Feliciano at reception. The best hotel in Zamora!
Review 28:They had our booking and expected us on arrival via booking.com. We received friendly service and free car park & WiFi. Received complementary drinks and biscuits. Booking in and out and payment was swift and professional. Great location close to historic sights. Highly recommend.
Review 29:I don't think we've ever met staff so kind and helpful as we did at this small hostal! The room was very clean and comfortable. Thanks for everything Feliciano!
Review 30:This hostal is great. Feliciano the main staff there was so kind and nice to us. Definitely the kindest staff I've ever encountered in a hostal. No one will ever regret of meeting Feliciano.
Review 31:A perfect location for visiting Zamora's famous Romanesque sights, a big, light room and a comfortable bed.
Review 32:A couple of minutes walk to the city centre but on a quiet street. Modern room and bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff.
