Reviews for Hotel Rey Don Sancho
Review 1:After we had travelled 700k we had to ride around for another 20mins for a parking space. The staff basically just gave us a key for room and that was it. The room was cold so went to tell reception an all she could says was they dont turn the heating on until winter. Then to find out the restaurant was shut due to a private wedding which we were not told about!! To then have to drive more an move the car to get back to have absolutly nowhere to park!!!! The disco tec was also closed due to the wedding party.
Review 2:Nothing
Review 3:Excellent location
Review 4:Breakfast. This is in a separate bar. The one barman was overworked and didn't really seem keen to serve me.
Review 5:The location. Staff barely polite. We never felt comfortable.
Review 6:Private parking, although next to a gas/ truck stop. Nothing happened but it did not look very secure.
Review 7:A fair old walk from the action though its easy to take the train. A trifle on the noisy side. Eg closing doors and bedroom action at night.
Review 8:A good deal for the budget travellor. Excellent staff. Accommodating and speak English for the Portuguese challenged. Across the from railway station.
Review 9:I was unable to check out at 8.00am Monday morning as no staff were available and I found the front doors locked. I did not know about the lift to the ground floor or that breakfast was available in the cafeteria next to the front entrance.
Review 10:The restaurant and rooms are extremely good value and the food was superb
Review 11:Surly, unhelpful receptionist, who said immediately in an angry tone ' no english', but clearly understood all that was said to him. The location was on an industrial estate and quite a ride from the city centre.
Review 12:Bedroom clean and comfortable.
Review 13:I booked on the internet and it was hassle free with a quickconfirmation. I parked a 4x4 and trailer in the car park, no problem Ichecked in at 10.00pm which was also hassle free and friendly. Therefurbished rooms are modern and chic. The dining room was open andprovided a four course meal, a bottle of wine and a liquer for 2 peoplefor 26.00 Euro representing excellent value. I will continue to use theRey Don Sancho in the future as I have in the past.
Review 14:I booked an "Economic Room", led by a reasonable price and a beautiful picture of the room. When we got there, we understood that the photograph was misleading. Instead of a new, modern, pleasant room, we stayed at an old fashioned room. Although it was clean and quite comfortable, we felt disappointed and would not recommend the "Economic Room" because of this. We actually found better located hotels with more economic rooms.
Review 15:The service, the breakfast, the cleanliness and the overall aspect of the lobby (although it clearly contrasted with the room we stayed)
Review 16:Air con did not seem to work
Review 17:Great place on the outskirts of the city. Good breakfast.
Review 18:Extremely quiet and had an excellent restaurant.
Review 19:Cold staff, bare bones carpets, not enough soap and shampoo, not a good breakfast.
Review 20:Location good but difficult to find even with a Tom-Tom.
Review 21:Helpful Staff, both at reception and in the Restaurant Could not control the airconditioning in the room however...........too hot.
